Battlesbridge Classic Car Show
if there is interest from everyone else, i am happy to go for a club stand. the forms state someone has to be present prior to the show date to confirm positioning and marking out the club stand, are you ok for that? it also says pre-1990 cars except by arrangement. i presume you can take care of that issue for us too? ;)

Back door trading
I think that referring to the account you are trying to pay FROM not TO Richie, combined with you not being logged in? Last payment into the club paypal was on the 10th, and no errors or emails received about any problems.

Back door trading
Si, The trader subs have been reduced, exactly as you suggested. You mentioned it, we listened, and it's now a tiered system starting at £40. Has been that way for a while. As Gary said, we have to try and apply the forum rules fairly and consistently. It's a very tough position to be in for all of us. A bit of a catch 22. But how do we find the right balance? You posting pictures of your excellent work is effectively free advertising of your business,, whether intentional or not. But it is also you providing pictures to allow group buy customers from when you were a trader, to see the progress of their purchase. Customers recommending and posting picures of work done is the other side of the problem. We don't get all decisions right, but they are always discussed and debated with best intentions. I am sorry that this appears to be at odds with some of our member views too, but we do understand the issue,. If anyone can suggest a more robust way of applying these principles, please post them.

2018 Club annual meet and AGM at Coventry
We will be at Coventry Transport Museum again for the Annual Meet and the AGM. We all know that it is a great venue, due to its central(ish) location, plenty of space and very family friendly for those not wishing to stand around talking about cars all day. Club Annual Meet & AGM 2018 The Date : Sunday 15th July 2018 The Venue: Coventry Transport Museum http://www.transport-museum.com/ Club Social get together and pre-meet Meal The Date : Saturday 14th July 2018 The Venue: Brewers Fayre, Marina, Hinckley https://www.brewersfayre.co.uk/pub-r...-Hinckley.html I will try and book the use of the mezzanine floor for the evening meal as a group once I know how many people are staying. Everyone that met here the last 2 years for the meal get together enjoyed the experience with good food and banter, i think... We will need to provide advance food orders to the restaurant the week before if we book the mezzanine. Club nominated hotel for travellers, just 30 minutes from Coventry in the morning, and right next door to the evening meal! Premier Inn, Hinckley http://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hote.../hinckley.html This is a good priced and good quality hotel, easy to get to and park, and a nice location along with the onsite restaurant. There are other hotels within the area if you want to compare or stay elsewhere, e.g. Longshoot Inn, Nuneaton UPDATE 6-Apr-18: On SATURDAY 14th, those staying the night turn generally turn up early during the day. I plan to visit the F1 Collection at Donington on Saturday afternoon, arrive there about 12. This is about 40-45 minute drive from Hinckley. I will go to Hinckley first, then we can convoy up from there if you are interested. Anyone travelling down from the North would be easier to meet us at Donington, and then travel back to Hinckley in convoy in the evening.

What did you do to your zed today?
Wow, just caught up the last 8 pages or so, just from a couple of days! For the record, I am using Conti tyres and they fit the bill on price and performance for me. I always found cheaper tyres are generally harder wearing, which means they don't warm up much, giving longer life but rubbish grip, especially when wet. Ideal if you need to put lots of miles on them and are not pushing the boundaries of performance. Personally, I like cornering at speed, so I make sure I have the grip to provide what I request of the tyre. What did I do to my zed today? Had a removable tow bar fitted. Not seen it yet, picking up on Saturday, but hopefully it is as invisible as I specified when not fitted...

Ah yes, you need better winter tyres than that if you want to see it through the cold days. metzeler roadtec 01 are my commuters of choice. Am doing 4 days riding in Lakes and Dales with some friends immediately after our club weekend in May if you wanted to join us? Staying at the same hotel until Friday morning. Will be taking the bikes up on a trailer behind the zed on Saturday, and then swapping to the bike on Monday :)

is it any wonder with the goings on in this place over the years  i think this was one of the first dedicated meets we organised, although we had done a few little meet ups at local shows and the like.
