Japfest 2014 tickets / passes & track sessions
I've put my name down, not been for some years and was a blast last time I went.

What clutch
rps max street is $530, i's stay away from an unknown brand for clutches, also go with greater capacity so you don't worry about it all the time or if you add more power later
-
What clutch
i'd go with something like rps max street, good for 700ft lb

Intercooler pipework
think you're loosing sight of the goal. If all your ic piping is 2.5" (doubt if it's front mount), then next port of call will be the throttle bodies and plenum
-
rear sill and arch panels
did someone actually call the guy at the start who has/had access to these parts?

Aftermarket Chip Analysis & Comparison
Darkside - unless you've stripped the car of most oem electrical subsystems or want to drive things like a digi dash, I'd stick to the OEM ECU, it's very good

one for the one piece prop guys
PS reading it all does sound like the diff is shagged, the engine decal going through the diff is causing the vibrations, when you push the clutch in the engine decal forces are no longer going through the diff ...

one for the one piece prop guys
Dave, I have solid mounted subframe and diff mounts, poly gearbox mount and bde engine mounts, I don't get these vibrations. the only side effect I get is you hear the diff whine, which I think is cool

good of you to share that Noel

Buying some new shoes for the ole girl
fronts will need a good roll and removal of liners rears are going to need a lot of work, I mean a lot .... I'm confused as to why people are putting silly offsets in recently, either research and go with something that fits, or accept that it won't fit easily and just get on with it because you know what's involved and willing to put the work in, make sacrifices elsewhere
-
Wheels
the other question is why do you want to fit them so much. is there a design you really like and not available in other offsets are they just cheap - keep looking and find a set that fits you want a 'stanced' look and want to push the boundaries
-
Wheels
I have no experience of the 200, however i'd say they are generally willing to put skinny tires on and crazy camber to make something fit. you can make nearly anything fit, it's up to you how much you want to pull the bodywork, what size tire to run and what camber you intend to run

Wheels
10.5 et 35 is a big roll, pull, flare per the above 9.5 et 15 will be 7mm further out again ...
-
Picked my car up from PowerZed today
excellent, you couldn't ask for a better combination. What's all this break-in business though, just get yourself over to Noel's!
-
Wheels
front is a bit weak compared to the rear, 9.5 would be better, depends what width tires you plan on using. rear will need a roll, push, and a flare with a decent tire on there

Sadly - Another One Bites The Dust
That is a shame, it had race logic tc on it too so driver must have done soething stupid. Do you know where it's being broken as I need a replacement rear light ;)

Anyone with 11j rears?
they will physically bolt up, the rest is up to you around arch fouling / mods + tire selection

anyone on here running 500bhp
only if you're going for the 2.5 piping. decating helps too, some people say it causes tubs to smoke, but in reality they must be on the way out already and cats were masking it
-
anyone on here running 500bhp
yes, it does make a significant difference, especially to the mid range/spool up. The main thing about the vg30 is to allow it to breathe. reduce the bottleneck on the intake and exhaust side, then open up the heads ...
-
anyone on here running 500bhp
yes if they're in good condition and it's a good tune - see my note on a proper remap.

anyone on here running 500bhp
next logical steps are: underdrive pulley 2.5" intake piping with preferably 2.5" in/out to your ICs downpipes and decat(3" is better) - however, if you're going to bigger turbos later, i would suggest you wait and just get 5bolt ones with bigger tubs you'll want bigger injectors or to run higher fuel pressure But most importantly, stop using a generic chip and go see TurboNoz

Tme Attack Brands Hatch. The final blast for 2013
nice video Bob, first proper in-car I've seen of yours, shame I didn't record mine so we could compare on the same circuit! The little traffic jam at the start of your vid was me getting all out of shape and nearly spinning... PS roll your arches!

Tme Attack Brands Hatch. The final blast for 2013
what a great day, I'm still shattered today! Very happy to have an incident free day, and to just concentrate on driving, now I can start focusing on developing the car, sorting tire pressures out, suspension settings etc rather than just doing what's needed to just turn up at the next event... will post a few pics as they come up, didn't get any footage as I'd forgotten my gopro, and though Bob lent me his I was always strapped in before remembering to turn it on.
