Engine brake in procedure controversial topic please discuss
I've had good results from hard break ins, usually a few miles to check for leaks then off to the dyno to be mapped :)

transporting a large sheet
We have a winner!!! Thanks Vijay, they're quoting what it will cost me in fuel and saves me a load of time

transporting a large sheet
Yeah, it's for my splitter so would rather in one piece so I can cut down myself, will be a waste if it's cut too small.

transporting a large sheet
I've bought some sheet material, measures 2.8m x 1m, but it's a nightmare getting a courier for it. Tried Shiply and that's coming in at around £70 Any other ideas? Needs to go from Stoke On Trent to Bath (or Bristol)

284hp na z32
Yes e85 is like race fuel, very det resistant and runs cool, but you need a lot of fuel delivery capacity as you need approx 30% more volume compared to normal petrol

284hp na z32
ok, that makes more sense. an example of an NA bottom end being put to use http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2581024/Took-my-new-setup-to-the-track-this-weekend.html

284hp na z32
Parts are different, but yes you can get a lot out of the NA block (with some turbos!). You just have to tune according to the higher compression and have good fuel

284hp na z32
I doubt that, I suspect it's more like 350hp per pin/piston

You could ask Jimmer to provide a report?

Not very happy at all
I agree, very responsive but would need the appropriate map :)

Not very happy at all
That sucks, are you sure it's got NA pistons? I would have thought it would have gone pop much sooner with a TT map on it given the compression differences. The NA setup can take the power & boost as long as it's got the right fuel and map

Just picked this up, is this the block in your car at the moment?

Brighton National Speed Trials 2014
Good luck, it's a really good event. Despite living 2 streets away I didn't manage to run while I was living there so look forward to going again and competing! I would be surprised if the ratio change reduced the time by more than a tenth or two, but it all helps! Have you been to santapod for any shakedown runs?

My SWB Zed...
nice size garage :)

Got the engine running after nearly five years :) but very rough :(
It's probably running on two, you need to leave 1&6 alone and focus on the others. Are you getting spark on them?

2014 work in progress
Thanks Andrew, yes it was from snetterton 2012. I had an oil line fail and replaced, so the smoke was oil burning off - bit worrying at the time though. Using Z1 TBs, they are being refreshed too

2014 work in progress
It will be a fully sealed/ducted setup to manage the airflow and have any hope of working.

There's a reason :)

2014 work in progress
Some more pics of parts being mocked up, and a few parts painted since they're off and I'm too lazy to keep polished parts clean Also fitted the new lower plenum (needed for top feed inj), now need Jim to pop round to remove crank pulley and refit timing belt!!

Massive thank you to Jimmer Thomas at PowerZed
You have a nice example there, glad it's back on the road and being used again
