  1. more progress. Knuckles assembled with new wheel bearings first fit, few issues to sort! after some fettling, this is full droop, after raising the coilovers 15mm. Will play some more tomorrow, raise it another 10mm, and widen the track with the lower arms. Then when I'm happy with this side, will match the arm lengths for the other side. With a bit of luck it'll be on the ground this weekend for the first time in 6 months
  2. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?137277-the-weight-question
  3. I did say it looked weird in the picture they took! Here's a few pictures shortly after the other was taken with the car nearly back together
  4. Solid mounts fitted onto the diff, put them in the freezer overnight and eased gently into place with a hammer :) Diff mounted For the quaife, you need to shorten one of the stub axles, so here's some pics of that being done with my trusty grinder Jim has welded my rear knuckles up, so I can crack on with getting the car back on the ground this week
  5. wanted in the south so I can get it blasted and coated.
  6. I had it on mine last year, looks ok if you have a suitably kitted car. They had a picture of my car on there too before the rear wing was fitted and it just looks weird like that!
  7. 2nd on Paisley Freight as an alternative to Parcel2go for larger/awkward sizes
  8. I think we need a Google button for the Doctor of Spin :)
  9. if you can route pipes, cutting & bending as needed - then yes
  10. If all plugs look the same I would think something more general, than cylinder specific. So fuel pressure, air leak, timing, maf
  11. think he was referring to the bicycle wheel :)
  12. Some old carpet makes life a lot nicer
  13. looking forward to the updates :)
  14. OEM are oversized to allow for the larger pistons
  15. Howard - are you keeping your existing heads? don't see why you wouldn't
  16. you can use OEM, the overall compression ratio might change very slightly, but if the car is mapped accordingly that's not a problem
  17. Pretty sure Jim at PowerZed had a rebuilt set in stock as well
  18. you need to look at how it could get wet and block off any way for water to get around your nose panel onto the filters
  19. SMIC with full 2.5" piping is best for 99.9% of scenarios the FMIC design with the long charge face has the most pressure drop (not good), the piping is extended even further (not good), and the restrictive piping from stock IC location to turbos/TB's are still used the HKS style FMIC is better with end tanks above / below
  20. don't know yet! initial fitment looks good, need to fully weld the coilover mount as it's only tac'd in place, then fully assemble everything with the diff to get the car back on it's wheels
  21. Most are oval, depends on how strong they are...
  22. And the assembled diff
  23. let's have the full story then :)
  24. test fitting knuckles and arms on the rear All bolted up nicely, so knuckles are off again for final welding.
  25. yes, there's about 15kg difference between the r200 & r230!!
