very disappointed!
Can't bothered to read all the other thread as it just seems to degenerate to a slanging match. I've run against a MR2 with basic mods, he was slightly quicker off the mark, even though neither of us got a good start (playing with tyre pressures). I got a 13.6 and he got a 13.9 I think. So will gladly join a session at the pod. I also think stock for stock, the MR2 will win, just plain physics at the end of the day...

car jacking scam
My better half came across this today so thought I'd pass it on.... BEWARE OF NEW CAR-JACKING SCAM - NOT A JOKE! I thought that I would share this with you all in case anyone encounters this, it maybe in the UK now but could spread so please pass this on to as many pepole as you can. This is from a Manchester Police Officer. Imagine you walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside. Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into reverse. You look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So,you unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove the paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.... When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. Your engine would be running (Ladies would have their handbag in the car) and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your car. BE AWARE OF THIS SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED Just drive away and remove the paper from your window later and be thankful you read this notice. PLEASE inform all friends and family, especially women. A handbag contains all identification and you certainly do not want someone knowing your home address, as they already have your keys!!!

Clutch Vacuum tank problems???
did you cap the hose while the tank was off? you'll have a nice vaccum leak otherwise
-
Bad vibrations
better sort it sooner than later too, or you'll start damaging other parts like the UJ's, diff etc if that's the cause

The GD Inconel Manifold should be a bolt on with the 530BB's

Rebuild of SMW1 has now started...
Has the problem with PE1420's been fixed? There are a few in the states that won't boost over a certain amount, because the wastegate flap opens the opposite way to normal and can catch the downpipes, therefore limiting boost

Rebuild of SMW1 has now started...
sounds fun ;) As always, happy to give you a hand. Don't think you need dual MAF with the Doolz, as the air is balanced by the design. I think you need to source an NA rear subframe to fit the NA diff, and a new prop (though I think you knew that :D)

Uprated springs but not too low!!??
Eibach springs are supposed to be good, progressive, with 0.8" drop. Not sure how much of a drop the Blitz ones have.
