  1. not going to make it I'm afraid :( next time though
  2. :( sounds all too familiar, stepping off the gas suddenly when accelarating hard feels like the car is kangarooing! another thing on the list of things to do then. Can the mounts be done with the engine place? (attacking from underneath)
  3. When you say the engine feels horrible when pulling away, what do you mean by that, is it lots of vibrations? just wondering if mine are shot too :(
  4. you could have a huge vacuum leak I guess, that would cause the idle to hunt all over the place and lumpy running. How's your vacuum at idle? Might be worth checking for any hoses that may have come off.
  5. S/S braided brake lines, replacement pass side window motor & seatbelt. Been catching up lately ;) that or I need to start buying more again!
  6. I was looking at Z1 prices for the urethane one and they were about the same as new stock ones from courtesey
  7. you can also get urethane gearbox mounts ( or solid if you wish!) from SPL
  8. does sound right then, to make you feel happier mine's been nice and smooth since putting new O2 sensors in ;) You can get them cheaper from the states too
  9. when my O2 sensors were knackered I had a stumbling / misfire feeling when on the motorway in top, accelarating gently between 2k-3k rpms. If you then go WOT at 2000 rpm it'll pull fine as the ECU doesn't use O2 readings at WOT. Try that to see if that helps pinpointing it...

From what I've read and experienced, this is caused by the floating rear sub frame and squidgy subframe & diff bushings. I have Energy Suspension bushes all round now and it's almost completely gone (still get a very small amount when wet). The bushings are harsher than stock, and transfer more noise, but I love them :D. Only went with this route rather than spacers as mine were leaking anyway. If you've got stock bushes that are not leaking you can try the spacers - the guys in the states swear by them. You can also try solid bushes if you're brave. There are also collars available wich have the same affect as the spacers but keep the subframe in it's central location.
  12. hmm, nice on Ryan :D now, to sort all this out.... having driven my car Mike Feeny has persuaded me to go to Santa Pod on the 23rd, anyone else up for it? I'll probably make a fool of myself and stall or something similar  but should be good for a laugh  Anyway, we all know that manual's are better (couldn't help myself!)
  13. 'cept the wheels will be different as I have those now
  14. it was in the for sale area a little while ago, don't know if it was sold though. NA with 19's, WW kit
  15. 3) could be wheel bearings, or maybe the diff if you're unlucky probably best searching and trying to match other peoples descriptions and solutions to your probs
  16. 2) if yours is an import it could well be a dodgy speed converter doing this, what does your speedo do when the steering goes heavy?
  17. thought some of you may like to see these new, limited edition alloys! results of cheap digi cam at over a ton
  18. more please, the skyline is awesome :D
  19. do you still have the shims in?
  20. Vinz - where did you get those jubilee clips? Could do with some strong ones that don't twist when you tighten them
  21. I'll swap you mine :hyper: + cash of course ;)
  22. Sounds fun ;)
