  1. Ah, ok Ted; are you implying that you have a set of extra gauges that are blue, and due to blue being no longer in production whether the main cluster would look out of place if they were red'? If this is the question I would say yes, it would look odd mate, a 'mish-mash' of colour in the cockpit. Which six do you have out of interest?
  2. Very nice mate, small touches can make a big impact.:thumbup1:
  3. Good condition rear off side light unit, I'll consider both if you don't want to split them. 89-98 Amber lens indicator. Please let me know your price before I turn to flea bay. Many thanks, Tony
  4. Ahhh, cheers Si, so it does! That'll teach me to join a thread halfway through! In that case, 89 with lip.
  5. I'm not too sure of the lines on those 99 spec bumpers, both of those pictures with the bottom lip doesn't look quite right. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it reminds me of a snow shovel without side skirts, this is only my opinion so please do not take offense!! The profiles for me should continue around the car, however with the lip and no skirts, the profile taken from the bumper abruptly ends at the front wheels. For me both standard bumpers are super sexy for the original lines, but as soon as you start adding to the bottom profile it needs to be replicated around the car.
  6. Did you get this off Jay by any chance? If I remember correctly it was a very clean Zed!
  7. Not the most exciting, joined the Air Force many moons ago. My surname being of Swedish origins was too hard for the drill instructors and my fellow comrades to remember; so someone shortened Osterberg to Osty and it stuck! My wife even sometimes uses this shortened version to book restaurants etc instead of having to spell out my name.........Cheeky wench!!!:asshole:
  8. You managed to get that through an MOT!!! Looks like it should of got through the first stage of Rally GB:scared:. Hat off to you matey....what a beast!:thumbup1:
  9. Nothing wierd with it at all fella, this was the original OEM colour.
  10. You don't get a reminder matey, however you can keep an eye on your subscription validity by checking this link. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?117588-Want-to-find-out-when-your-subscription-is-due This is a 'sticky' thread in the membership and subscription area.
  11. It's been a nice day so pulled the zed out the garage and fitted my modified double din surround. Not bad for £4 and a bit of fettling. Bloody Apple and photo rotation!!
  12. I think you're gonna need to step up the security, I'll be bringing this:
  13. Man o man, they look lush. Where did you say the car will be parked up once the wheels are back on??:ninja:
  14. Enjoying this Richie but I'm also jealous of your collected items, I so neeeeed those 99 spec rear lights, they would look loads better in my kitchen than yours!!! Really good to see things are coming together, you must have your Zed mojo back now!:thumbup1:
  15. Ouch, that's gonna hurt! £290 for me, would of been cheaper had I not insured 4 cars.
  16. I don't want to 'lead you up the wrong path' but with the car not revving past 2500 revs, doesn't that point a finger at the MAF. I'm not too sure if this would send a signal to the ECU and in turn to the autobox ECU as this is similar to what I had on my Navara?? One for Jeff.
  17. Yes, this can be true, however most classic, prestige, performance or specialized insurance companies as Adrian Flux offer 'like for like' as part of the agreed valuation; this is what I have done along with many others. Obviously, depending on what you have modified from OEM will have an effect on the cost. Remember that you are the customer and detail what you require against what they can offer. I am with Flux with an agreed value, limited miles 6000, European insurance cover, European breakdown (spend too much time driving around Europe) with a cost of £290.
  18. No, you don't have to be careful, just honest. If your car has been modified in anyway from standard, tell them. Also, ask for an agreed value policy; this would be the payment that you'd receive should the car be written off. You will have to be quite specific with what you want from the policy and don't be put off if some companies won't insure you, keep shopping around.
  19. You ask.......and you definitely receive. Well done for limiting yourself to only 20 issues Si, could have been worse lol.
  20. Definitely mate, also inquire over limited miles, could bring the insurance down by a fair bit.
  21. A Classic insurer would be hoping that being registered as a classic that it won't spend all/most of its time in high risk environments e.g. Tesco car park etc. Also, many ask for a mileage limit and consider that you will be looking after your pride and joy.
  22. Don't blame you mate, looked like quite a bit of work for that time of the day.
  23. Wow bud, I hope you're working through the night to get your mobile workshop clean and back together.
  24. Wow, amazing!! That certainly wouldn't be my luck. That must be one light footed owner!
