  1. A big part of Zed ownwership in my opinion, it's a love hate relationship thats bloody difficult to quantify at times. I along with many other could afford a modern marque, however I would be bored. When you put this back together after the repray, it will be your car. If you ever sell it, the work you have done will still make it your car; and when you see her there sitting in her new glory holding her head high amongst all the modern sports cars you will know that the effort most of us put into our cars was all worth it. Like my Mrs says, she has got accustomed to not seeing me every Sunday (as I'm always in the garage) during my 16 years of Zed ownership and it give her the time to herself to catch up on the housework and an episode of Call the Midwife.............Now ask yourself why would you get fed up with the hard work!! Loving the updates mate, looking forward to seeing the start of the rebuild.:thumbup1:
  2. Just a word of warning mate. If the garage hasn't worked on a Zed before, you could end up paying whilst the mechanic 'chases rainbows'. Keep us posted with how you get on. There's plenty of help on here.
  3. Out of interest buddy, where do you live? I'm not about this weekend however I will be next. If the problem continues give me a shout. As above, sounds like a MAF related issue, I have spares should you need to borrow one for diagnosis.
  4. If someone's going to do it.....! Hopefully he will put a bit of a Friday night vid of everything working together??
  5. Dan, out of interest have you trial fitted those SMICs, I had to do a fair amount of modification to get my oversized ones behind my bumper? The build is looking good, keep it up and us informed of the progress including many, many pictures.
  6. Welcome to the forum Mike and to the best club for you and your new Zed. As above, show us your car. All the best, Tony
  7. Seconded. Knew about this before, however great that the extremley busy 'techies' on this forum always find the time to explain things...sometimes, time and time again. Imagine if Noz, Jeff, Jimmer and a few others (in the know, not the guess) got their heads together and wrote a book; it would be at the top of my christmas list!!! (As long as I could do the photography and art!!lol) Well done guys
  8. Now that's better! They are going to completely transform your Zed. A great looking wheel and i'm looking forward to seeing these fitted with your new badges!! See, out of something bad comes something good! You will look at these wheels when fitted and know you made the right choice sticking with the Zed. IMO theses wheels are by far better than the FUBAR'd refurbished ones. Well done matey.
  9. Planned for your Son..............or for you! Lol. Just tried to convince my Mrs that this type of theme room would be great for our daughter.......My wife is not impressed, neither is my 16 year old daughter!! Oh well, worth a try. Great job mate!
  10. Planned for your Son..............or for you! Lol.
  11. Not a bad price if your bag.
  12. Like here, instead of recirc valves.
  13. No, I don't think it's you; your picture is the normal set up. I have seen them in some strange places before though.
  14. Probably these ones bud. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-S13-S14-JUN-Arches-Flares-50-60mm-Short-200sx-180sx-240sx-Skyline-300ZX-/111898339647?fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item1a0da9293f:g:1VIAAOSwU9xUOuTj
  15. Yeah, it's like the Russian doll of bonnets!
  16. Brilliant buddy, well done for getting a feature article and for mentioning this forum, and for putting a great example of a tastefully modified Zed in the spotlight!! Good job!
  17. Looks like a lovely car, however I'm not getting the engine cover.........don't we normally call this part the bonnet. I don't get it???
  18. Sill replacement can be an expensive job if it's done by a garage. Get a fabricator on side to help or learn to weld mate. Keep us up to date with your project, don't be afraid to ask for help.
  19. Ah, another shortie in the club. Stick with it mate, loads of help and parts on here, your new Zed deserves a new lease of life. Good luck with it.
  20. Oh, that makes things a lot easier. Look forward to seeing the pictures mate!
  21. Errrr, welcome to the club mate.....you've got a wolf in your house by the way, just in case you get eaten on exiting your new Zed.
  22. Mmmmm, I like a lot! Hurry up and get them fitted. What brackets are you using or are you having them manufactured? They are going to look sweeeeeeeeet!
