  1. Yes mate I do. I've been commisioned to paint a few in the past, everything from a scooter to a truck/cab, as long as its mechanical, I enjoy it! - - - Updated - - - Cheers Buddy, appreciated.
  2. Wow, fair old trip for you there mate and good on you if you can make it!
  3. Yes mate we do, I'll sort this closer to the time and try and secure us a good position!!
  4. Thanks guys for the comments. How do I do it.......patience and allowing a long time for the paint to dry. I'm getting better the more I do but they do take a long time; the first picture was taken around November, the second around January and the last today. Time to get on with the next one!
  5. Just finished another painting of a Zed but this time the Steve Millan IMSA. It fills my time whilst I'm away from the Zed and my family..........maybe that should be the other way around....errrrr, I'll get back to you on that one:surrender: Luckily for me,my mrs allows me to hang my Zed paintings in the study, mainly because she doesn't go in there and because it looks like a Zed museum; oh well love here's another one, lol. I like painting 300's now and find I can put a sketch down really quick compared to the other cars I've painted.
  6. You were on the opposite side of the road heading towards the sugar factory??
  7. The blue one that they used as the show car is now on eBay for nearly £40,000, wow!!
  8. Good spot and saved from Emmerdale!!
  9. Shame you have to move on mate, but all the best for the future. Remember, like many before you, get through the hard times and when you're ready, may be you'll be back!! Good luck with both the house and with selling the Zed.
  10. No mate not really. It all depends whether you ditch the windscreen wash bottle and expansion tank or relocate/reposition. It took me all day working at a leisurely pace with plenty of coffee breaks. I made a few small modifications to the brackets and added spacers to the mounts so that I was able to move the bottles rearward as I didn't want to lose them.
  11. Oooow, the race is on then mate! Just fitted my moooooosive intercoolers and am getting the old girl ready for her MOT next month. Just need to finish off my bumper after a high kerb jumped in front of me!!!
  12. So Ali, just what are you referring to matey.....the car or something else?:tt2:
  13. Still saving the day Jeff, your new neighbourhood don't know how lucky they are.......yet!! I can see you coming out of retirement once the word gets out, you'll have the locals parked up on your drive in no time! So jealous, bring on my retirement to France!
  14. Good job mate, I will remind people closer to the time.
  15. They are the same display cases that I have used. Brilliant for 1/18 or 1/24. I put 2 small spot lights in mine. Must say that even my Mrs puts up with them. The name of these is Bertby if it helps!!
  16. Thanks Gary, appreciated mate.
  17. I am so predictable mate, but not in this case; not even I could arrange for the Reds to attend, however I will be posted off the Hawks by July and I'll be heading home, Yippee ki-yay!! Between you, me and the entire forum, today I recieved my next assignment............Yeah baby yeah. I have a horrible feeling though that I am going to have to spend a lot of time in the States betwen California and Florida, oh well! As for the really fast thing.... As for a banner, brilliant if one is going unused.
  18. Get yourself some Micromesh™, a brilliant product that will polish out scratches in almost anything including glass. I would get the original American product, use it all the time at work.
  19. Good job guys, I'll sort the admission etc closer to the time. If we get enough interest we could consider making it a weekend event, I have another idea up my sleve.... it would include camping, BBQ and beer :-)....oh yeah and something that goes really fast? We will wait and see!
  20. Be good to meet you Ali!
  21. Clasic and Sportscars by the lake, 4th of September. This is a great car meet in aid of a good charity. I have posted this a few times over the last couple of years and woud be great if you want to join me. I'll be there flying the flag.... Ooo, must get a forum banner if there is enough of us! http://www.classicsportscarsbythelake.co.uk/
  22. Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), also known as Methyl Acetone. This stuff is amazing!! Don't use in confined areas or you will be away with the birds. Put on a cloth and wipe away the paint.
