  4. Thanks Gaz. You have PM bud.
  5. All registrations have been received and for those that sent me their details, your passes will be sent to the addresses you provided in the next few weeks. Thank you for providing them! It's looking like it will be bigger than ever and the organisers have contacted me today to let me know that Les Black from Nissansportz is also bringing 5 cars. Great stuff, more cars to raise the Z profile!! Anyone additional who wishes to join us, please contact karen.ridgeon@btinternet.com and complete the registration process. Any problems, give me a shout!! Please see original Thread for more details. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?184107-A-while-away-but-one-for-your-diary We will still meet up at a location to be confirmed and 'convoy' so that we are parked together.
  6. Thanks for the replies guys and for your details. I have submitted the registrations and will let you know when I receive confirmation. I have also asked that we be considered for a dedicated club stand should they decide to increase the number of stand entries. Keep an eye on your own email in case the car registrations are returned on an individual basis. Updates to follow, thanks for your support guys!!
  7. Firstly, thanks for the PM's and initial responses. The cut off for registering for the event is mid-August; however ‘snooze & you lose’ if last year is anything to go by, the event was fully booked by end of July. I have just got off the phone to the organisers who have confirmed that it would be better if we now submit our entries on an individual basis. The reason for this is that they have already reached 540 cars that will be part of the club stands and have yet to publicise the event in the local media. Obviously there will be many individuals or clubs that cannot commit to 6-12 cars that will still want to attend (ourselves amongst them). They have confirmed my thoughts that if we turn up together, we are more than likely to be put together. Keep in mind that the earlier we meet prior to the event, the better placed we will be. The estimated number of cars attending is today around the 800 mark with public attendance being around 6000; not bad for a small show in sunny Suffolk! Also this year they have a Super/Hyper car Marquee displaying 10-15 vehicles. I will continue to register those individuals that either post here or send me there details by PM. Unfortunately for those that cannot commit at this time, I am taking my Zed on holiday from the 28th July to 16th August and therefore will not be able to submit last minute entries on your behalf, however here is the link to the registration form for any latecomers. http://www.classicsportscarsbythelake.co.uk/car-registration.html Any problems please leave me a message or contact Karen Ridgeon (car registration) from the website page. http://www.classicsportscarsbythelake.co.uk/contact-us.html Many thanks; I look forward to the show and meeting you. Nearer the time I will arrange a meeting place so that we can convoy to the show. Great stuff!!!
  8. Guys, here is the reminder I promised. 4th of September Classic and Sports cars by the lake nr Bury St Edmunds. I will be submitting my registration form shortly, so for those that are interested and would like your 300 to be on show, please let me know soonest and i will complete the reg form on your behalf or send you a link. For the registration I will need; Name Address Email Telephone number ....and a brief description of your car e.g. any major modifications, year and model be it TT, NA, Vert, SWB/LWB if you would like it to be included in the programme? As I have said before, it is a great show and promises to be bigger than ever. The club stands are nearly full and there are limits imposed for them. A minimum of 6 maximum of 12 marques per stand. With this in mind it may be better if we submit our entries on an individual basis. This does not mean that we will be separated; if there is more than just myself, we will arrange to meet at a predetermined location and 'rock up' together so that we can get a spot together. The day itself is also great for the family as it is well supported for such a show. Your car also does not have to be immaculate so don't let this put you off. Hopefully you will be able to join me and promote our club and marque at the show and prove to the locals and other Petrol Heads that there is more than just my Zed left in the EA region, additionally it would be good to meet some new faces. Ted, pull your finger out buddy, you missed this last year due to the rebuild; if its not ready this year get the tow rope ready!! I am busy at work over the next few days but will try to answer any queries should you have any. All the best, Tony:thumbup:
  9. Come on Ted, you are missing the summer mate! I'm on Leave in sunny Suffolk this week and back for good as of the end of July, if you need a hand with the rebuild give me a shout bud and I'll come over.
  10. Check fuel pump is engaging when you turn the ignition on Steve.
  11. Can't make this one, I'm stuck in North Wales this weekend. Shame as it is right on my doorstep! Thanks for the post though!
  12. Looks like it was the bulbs mate, they are double filament bulbs. One filament within the bulb failed and led to the problem I believe.
  13. All of us that have owned and loved a dog trully know that they are by far a big part of a family. Sad times Jeff, thoughts are with you. RIP Cassie.
  14. I remember following your tour, enjoying the posts and loving the pictures Si. Monaco in the Zed was fantastic and it certainly was not out of place in Casino Square. As for getting that picture put on canvas, very nice! Maybe I'll have a crack at painting it.
  15. Yes Joely it is awesome mate. Great roads, great weather in a great car as you well know. It would be good to tour with more Zeds, similar to what you did last year; a Zedball rally!
  16. We drive through the top of France past Reims and Nancy to Mulhouse on the Swiss border. From there into Switzerland pass Olten on our way to Lake Lucerne. Next day we leave Lucerne and head for the Stelvio Pass, over the mountains and arrive at Lake Como. From Como to Venice we then back track through Tuscany via Milan and pick up the Italian coast road and make our way to French Menton. Next a lap or two in Monaco followed by a traffic jam or two in Cannes. Big slog from there to Limoges and finally Rouen before heading home. Done the same trip 4 years ago and it was fantastic. Nothing booked other than our first night!! Love it.
  17. Well well, I couldn't believe it! Today was MOT time after the old girl has been laid up for 2 years. Quick wash and Hoover and down to the test station we went. As I pulled up 3 mechanics came out for a look at the Zed and after popping the bonnet were all blown away by the engine. After a quick brief of what she is and what I've done; I let the MOT tester take her for a drive around the block, need I say she passed with flying colours! Yippee, another summer of Zedding; Italy and France here we come....again! F#!$ing love my car!
  18. Many thanks for checking the price direct from Nissan, wow expensive! I think i will have to consider another option. Thank again.
  19. I much appreciate the help mate, I'm chasing my own tail on the net trying to figure out what the best option is!! It's good of you to check at work for me:thumbup: Ta
  20. Cheers bud. So a far as replacing or upgrading injectors, Z1 and concept Z are about all that's out there...........Jeez, cant believe I have to get them from the States and at that price!?! Thank for the reply.
  21. Bump. Surely someone out there is in the know?
  22. Errrrrrrr! I haven't a problem with my brake pads mate, but thanks:helpsmilie:
  23. Guys, I have been back through previous threads but I am struggling to find my answer? Where is the best place to buy and should I be looking at any sort of upgrade? My main goal is reliability and although I gather that series 1 370cc injectors were upgraded on later models, the series 1's have lasted a long time up to now. Options please and where to buy?
  24. Yeah, this is another good idea. Not too sure about the supra though, although a 240z would be worth consideration. I also fancy doing a standard oem Zed in the middle of the canvas with detailed sketch around the side e.g. cockpit, engine bay, headlight etc. The problem I have is space. I paint on canvas roughly A3 size whereas some of the art prints you can buy originally started on much much larger canvas and I just have the room to do them at that scale. Some of the original art that has been painted of RAF aircraft hang in our Messes etc and are massive.
  25. Haha. There is one Zed from the forum that I've started, I have a 2 Porsche 911s on the go, and I'm also thinking about a complete canvas with just one headlight and the Z badge.
