A cup of tea for me.....obviously ;) With the finish of the meet being at Snetterton for some pictures, it might also be worth a visit to the countries biggest model shop for those who are interested. Apart from this the itinerary will be the same as in the original post. Any problems give me a shout, see you all there guys, safe journeys. Tony.

Don't use any coolant hole blocking treatment mate. For some it temporary provides a fix and for others can completely bugger the ways system. You now know what it is mate, get a wanted thread open and fix it with a replacement.

June 1st Next meet.
Guy's After the relative success of the mini meet we had at the beginning of the month, the next event will take place at the Queens Head, 12 Norwich Road, Hethersett, Norwich, Norfolk NR9 3DD. After a quick drink of water and a packet of crisps and a chin wag, we will travel in a sensible convoy, driving toward what is rated as one of the best driving roads in our region the B1113. On our way we will drive through the sleepy town of Wymondham, past the lotus factory and some lovely scenic roads. We will eventually pop out on the A11 near Snetterton where there is a lovely pub and beer garden so we can stock up on some calories. Hopefully there are a few who can attend because we could use the opportunity to discuss the next event; I know Ted has a few ideas up his sleeve and I would welcome any of yours. From there Snetterton is on our doorstep and will make a good backdrop for some pictures (bring your cameras) and a video that I'll put together and make some copies for you. This could be a nice day out for all weather permitting, so if you fancy bringing partners/family, let us know on here if you intend to do so, that way we all know the consensus of the group. Failing that........boys with toys! Any other thoughts/ideas feel free to add. Be good to see you again and maybe some other faces.

To good to be true!!
Look at my reply to DazVerts' No 4 cylinder issue, sounds like what I had especially if you moved the loom and it went away.
-
No spark on cylinder 4 :(
Sounds like a nightmare mate but to be honest is not as bad as you think. It also allows you to very quickly quickly ascertain the condition of the loom. Its also a good excuse to tidy up the wiring. Get a volt meter on the Coil pack connector and check for signaling voltage. Do the same on a working connector to recognise differences. Hope you sort it mate.
-
No spark on cylinder 4 :(
Daz, I had this same problem, twice a few years back. I swapped everything with known good working items and the non firing issued remained. To cut a very long story short, I ended up opening the whole loom, ECU to PTU to Coil pack connector. Lo and behold the first issue was an easy spot! The –‘ve small wire from the coil pack loom had a tiny fracture and split. Somehow this loom would return the signal to the PTU when cold but as the engine and loom got hot, the signal was lost and I had no spark. The second was a little more complicated but turned out to be a similar issue. A few months later the same happened but this time on the dreaded No 6 cylinder! Again I swapped out all items for known working ones……no joy! AlanZ off here then joined me and we swapped out ECU’s both worked on his car but not on mine….ummmm??? It was time to open up the nicely and recently re-loomed wires! This time I had a small amount of insulation missing off one of the –‘ve wires from the ECU this was shorting off the metal frame that the ECU is bolted to in the footwell. So, my issue…..Brittle Wire Disease!
