  1. Yeah, I heard that the RAF were finally trying to make real engineers out of fairies, I say GOOD LUCK with that!!!Lol. Best to leave them in the t-bar.haha
  2. I'll give you haha, trade group 1 all the way buddy!!!
  3. Should hopefully know soon Joely, plenty of time before summer is here. I'll drop them an email and see if any decisions have been made yet??
  4. Brilliant job mate. I wouldn't worry about using clear silicone though. It's a shame after all that cleaning and hard work that the grey putty hasn't behaved itself for you. I can understand why you want to keep it original but that putty was probably laid down by a robot at Nissan ensuring a nice even bead. Good luck though, after all that effort I'm sure they are going to look great.
  5. That's a good point there, too safe......maybe?? It's also good that the French keep their indicators going. I also like the fact that when I drive down to Narbonne every year, all the road works seem to be done at night! Yeah, I think we could learn a thing or two. Not too sure about Paris though. I had a nightmare in the ZED in an underground car park, but that's another story, it was like a scene from Topgear.
  6. Oh, I didn't notice the front bumper but yes L reg. I take it it isn't someone on here then Baz? If its no one on here, might whip the bumper away in the morning lol.
  7. Tasty tasty tasty, look sooooo much better. Matt black looks good on some cars but very few ie a 599xx IMO gets away with it. Your wheels now look classy and will look great fitted! Good choice mate.
  8. Yeah I'm with you on that, Europe in general is a much better place to drive. For some reason over here, half the driver population think they are invincible when they are behind the wheel. Sometimes I would really like to put the invincibility to the test!
  9. Working at Scampton and strolling to the Mess I happened to come across a parked up 300???
  10. As soon as you know your availability let me know mate, we will work something around your days available, even if it's something small. Failing this, I will definitely meet up with you over the summer period. Keep us posted. Also if you are able to go to the 25th anniversary meet, I'll convoy with you.

Very good choice, looking forward to the pictures of them on your car. Gorgeous wheels mate.
  12. Quite surprised there, not dominated by Ferrari or Lamborghini. Porsche drivers with local knowledge perhaps the reason the majority of the list is made up with them, that and they are bloody fast, lol. Good read that, cheers.
  13. LMAO. Amazing speed but bloody ugly, certainly not a sleeper! I wouldn't mind that sort of power though.
  14. Very very sad, makes you remember how fragile life is. One life.......live it.
  15. I agree, the concept is possibly/potentially one of the best original ideas for a modification I've seen on here for a long time. I would say though, just be careful of turning a great idea in to something that's gimmicky, you have to be careful on a 25 year old car that the modifications are in keeping.
  16. Imagine that bad boy on your living room wall, my Mrs would love it .................errr not!
  17. Welcome to the club mate. Look forward to some pictures. Great time to buy a ZED, it's the 25 year anniversary this year; it's going to be hopefully a great year for meeting up with some of the forum community.
  18. Your right there mate. Not a lot of us left in the EA region, especially those who use the car all year round.
  19. Done this quickly for you but you get the idea. Think it looks great as it is mate, stop getting bored! IMO, the black rims make the wheels look small. Don't do something you regret.
  20. Could be coming from the Turbo mate or under the plenum chamber. Do you know if the water pipes under the plenum have been bypassed?
  21. Check that the matrix has not been bypassed by looking at the back of the engine, ensuring that the 2 heater pipes are connected to the 2 copper pipes coming from the cockpit through the bulk head.
  22. Count me in, it's going to be a good one!
  23. I can fully understand the reasons for not wanting to have to worry about colour coding the wires but I would strongly recommend that you at least do something that will enable you to identify the wires in the future. You could use model paint at each end of the wire for future reference and knowing these cars, you may need to diagnose one of those electrical gremlins one day and won't know where to start. Just my opinion mate, but if you are going through the expense of buying the replacement wire and the time to make a new loom, you will absolutely kick yourself in the future if something goes wrong. Mark them up matey.
  24. Depending on the material there are a few things that will help you manipulate the material. I use a hot air gun and have made a couple of tools of different shapes and widths (made from sheet aluminium) to help push and hold the material in place, especially where the door panels have the join. A collection of flat screwdrivers will suffice. I also use a number of G-clamps and stiff foam, bits of Ali, rags and cardboard to clamp the material in position on the panels where the material naturally wants to pull away. You will soon get the idea. I also have some small tubes of superglue at hand for when you need fast adhesion. Other than this, you need patience and a clean working environment. Common sense I know, but I would start with the small dashboard panels or the armrest first so you can start to work out how best to do it. Remember that if the material is not leather and is vinyl based some glues may react with it causing a burn. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  25. Thanks guys, Got myself a holiday to Budapest and grandstand tickets to the Hungarian grand prix. Happy as a pig in poop!
