  1. Yes mate, it's a bloody good show especially as its on our doorstep. Loads of supercars as well as classics, around 400 cars in total along with stalls and shows etc. I have a few ideas for next season including the Richard Burns Rally held at Marham. There is also the Marham open day where I displayed my car before but it would be great if there were a few more there. Great opportunity for a photo with an angry Tornado GR4 or a Red Arrow. Anyway that's for next year along with some usual meets. We could have a mini meet around my place and have a beer in front of my garages on the grass once winter's out the way, lol. Speak soon matey, hope you're well.
  2. Not my taste but if it matches the look you are going for, I agree the white lettering breaks up the black. Looks more motorsport/drifting style. Needs graphics to complete, fast n furious look.
  3. Cheers matey, happy days!
  4. Is there a difference between manual and automatic ECU' s? I have removed my auto ecu and wandered if it is compatible with my manual car. I would of thought that engine management would be the same as there is the separate Auto box ecu. If they are different, what functions are? Thanks in advance, Tony.
  5. All sorted now thanks, I drilled a small hole and used an Easy out. Cheers for the advice.
  6. Cheers guys, big help. Ta
  7. Can anybody tell me how you remove the ignition barrel from the steering column please. Thought it was going to be a 5 minute job until I saw the 2 fasteners that clamp it to the coumn???? Thanks in advance. Tony.
  8. Paid through paypal 10C32846NX233110X. As usual, many thanks and keep up the good work team! Only wish I had known about the club when I got my first Zed in 98, maybe it wouldn't have needed to be sent to car heaven! Cheers Tony.
  9. Now that was a good read for a Monday morning!! LMAO remembering the times in total agreement. Bring back phones that are......phones and I love the statement about the Atari games, brilliant! Thanks for sharing, it has now become the talking point at my work.
  10. Welcome to the club mate. Did you buy your Zed local, possibly know it? All you need is here reference the Zed. Any questions just ask and someone will be along to help. Hopefully get to meet you at some point, and in the New Year at a local East Anglia meet. Well done matey, welcome.
  11. I think its that time of year when a lot of us take the car off the road for winter. I take it you have another car Ted? At least you had the opportunity to meet with another Zed owner before you took the car off the road matey. Shame i couldnt make it.
  12. Unfortunatley it's been very very quiet on the meet front for the region for a few years now. My Zed is off the road now (winter's looming) but I will still pop along to a meet if you get any interest, just wont be in the zed. There was a good local show that I went to a few weekends back called 'Classic and Sports Cars by the Lake' between Thetford and Bury St Edmuds. Anyway, I got talking to the event organiser who said he would love to have more representation from the Zed community there in 2014. One to put in the diary for next year maybe.
  13. So so sad, poor old girls......they deserved better!!
  14. Well done being patient, wish I could be so lucky. I have been 3 years now waiting for something to come up or for Voddy to give me one of his front mania vortex. good news!

As you know mate, won't be able to make this as car is off the road, but if you ever fancy a run up this way, give me a shout!
  16. No mate, you have to go round to his house. Basically he has a mechanic that strips the car', some bits are at Andy's in his workshop in the garden and large bits are sometimes left at the yard. He has been a reliable person to know, just got to get hold of him!!
  17. Yes mate I know Andy/supercarparts. Lives about 5 miles outside thetford in the sticks. He can be hard to get hold of mate as he is always out and about or in his workshop. He got rid of his ZED and now drives a Jag xkr.
  18. Yes mate, I now have a week day address in North West Wales but will manage to get home most weekends so you're welcome to pop round. So it sounds like the fan is coming on and your pod is working but the air box is not directing the air to the windscreen. I can't remember if the windscreen vents are permanently open and its just the screen fan that comes on when selected or it uses the same fan??? I will have a look at the box tomorrow mate and see if I can work it out. I have recently stripped out the air box and gubbings from my other ZED and its sitting in my garage. Hopefully someone will be able to help in the meantime. Come on peeps, winters coming!
  19. How ya doing mate. No you wont be the first one, but!......This is one of those problems that without the car sitting in front of us, it will be hard to offer an opinion. Does the fan kick in when you select windscreen? what happens if you select auto? At anytime can you hear the fan speed up? If you are passing by Thetford at anytime soon, I will give you a hand if you require it. I have plenty of spares and tools. I'll keep an eye on the thread mate, good luck. Tony
  20. Most car trade motor factors will have this in stock. As above, just make sure it's reinforced.
  21. Look forward to seeing the results, sounds like a show winner. Keep us posted matey.
  22. This is what I pay from halfords. You may already know this; but anyone in the engineering, motor trade etc is entitled to a halfords trade card. All trade based consumables, ie batteries, windscreen wipers, paint, brakes etc, the trade card will get you upto 2/3 off the ticket price. Worth doing with the demise of the high street motor factors. That goes for any type of engineering including Armed Forces branches.
  23. If you need a hand or second opinion, I am at Valley for a while and don't mind popping over one evening and giving you a hand. Offers there, let me know. If not, hope you get it sorted ad don't buy a vauxhall!!!lol
