Jimbo, dry up your tears and act like a man!! I'm still thinking mate. I need to talk to you about a large consignment of rubber (ooo err) before I make up my mind. Let's talk later. CheerZ, JB.

Overtook a 350Z
Well, that's just charming, isn't it? Most of the one's that I know, and that's not as many as 300 owners, are perfectly OK - although I'd have to agree that most of them are not Z enthusiasts, they're just happy to be driving the best sports car available in it's class at the moment. For me, I only wanted it BECAUSE it was a Z. You may notice from my sig, I've had a few now. Funnily enough, when I first got mine, and joined the 350 forum, the first thing a couple of the enthusiasts said on there was that they new my old 300 and liked it. Mind you, they'd have been mad not to, 'cos it was a beauty. Nuff Z? CheerZ, JB.

Overtook a 350Z
Wasn't me!!  However, if I see a Hyundai Pony out and about with a bit of form, I'll be sure to apply the accelerator in any case!! :p CheerZ, JB.

Who needs Photoshop?
That's a p**s poor job someone's done of filling the front arches!! Personally, I'd take her back to the bodyshop.. or take a trip to spec-savers!

What do you think of my new alloys? Lol!
They're fooking lovely mate, and the wheels too! Seriously, though - they really are the nuts. I'm sure they'll look superb! I've got a set of 19's lurking in the loft, just waiting for the right Z to come along ;).

Just watched 5th gear
LOL - that's me fooked too - I can't fit my fishing gear in the 350 (or a 300 for that matter) and I'd love to see it get up the sea wall!! How about banning shite driving? I don't like to see 4x4s being driven like weapons on the school run, but I love mine, especially when I get a chance to get of the black-top! :D CheerZ, JB.

Your rides.
Class!

What Colour Leather For My Black Swb
Sgt C, that's awesome mate. I'd always wanted to get mine re-trimmed in red (my last black Z, that is), and I'm still convinced that red is the way to go with a black or silver car. :nana2: Was that a standard kit, like of Luke's or was it a custom job? CheerZ, JB.

Giving up smoking.
Yes mate, stopped about 9 months ago, but have felt like a non-smoker (without the sanctimonious part) for a while now. :hyper: I had tried about 900000000 times in the past, but this time I read a book that I've mentioned before on here: "Alan Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking", it really helped me, more than patches etc, that I'd tried in the past. The book struck a chord with me, and it's the only way I think I was ever gonna do it. Don't really miss it now, but I do miss being able to fit into a lot of my clothes, because now I enjoy my food and drink *even* more and I am consequently an *even* fatter B****** ;) . Having said that, I do feel a lot better for it, although the first 6 weeks were awful as my lungs were on self cleanse, as all manner of shite made its way out :hurl: Still, better out than in, as they say! :D Best of luck, JB.

350z do i ,dont i
Sorry mate, you misunderstood me (or more likely, I didn't make myself clear) ;). What I meant, was as an on-going prospect, it's a lot less expensive, not just because the odd thing does go wrong with 300s, but because with so many great bits of kit available for the 300, and the fact that a lot of them really improve it, I found that I couldn't stop buying, bling, electronics, styling etc, etc .... that's all. I guess I didn't really include depreciation in there either, but I reckon that over the course of a year, I spent about the same on my last 300 that I've lost in depreciation on my 350 - thanks to pretty good residuals. :hyper: It's definitely less stressful though - I mean, it's never left me at the side of the M20, of stuck outside the prison in Maidstone, with an AA man trying to work out how to get her on the low loader, thanks to the bodykit and lowered springs!! :D :D CheerZ, JB.

350z do i ,dont i
Well, I agree with part 1 of that statement (other than about getting a Supra(!)), but part two is incorrect. Drive both of them and you'll know why. I have and the Audi TT is no match for a Z, in any way shape or form. It's just a bauble with funky styling inside. 350 is a muscle car, make no mistake, even if it does give a little to the 300 in straight line speed, it's superior in terms of handling, braking, steering IMO, and I have to say the ownership experience is a LOT less stressful and expensive!! ;). My advice would be to drive it and see what you think. It caused me to part with my "I'm never gonna sell this car" 300 by the time my test drive was over. As an aside, it may well be, however, that I'll be trading back to a 300 in the not-too-distant again, but that's because the 300 is the best car my present financial position will allow, not because I've gone off the 350. It's a great motor. :D As is the 300. Just my 2p. CheerZ, JB. P.S. meant to say, my gunmetal UK GT with sat nav will be available shortly at a very reasonable price!! :D

My boot install is underway
I can trump the "mundane cars with neons", which I also dislike intently as it goes, the other night I was getting my fishing gear out of the car in Deal, and some chump cruises down the main road in front of the pier with neons on his 50cc Scooter!!!! :smw: :xxx: Double-take-brothers moment, or what!!? (Sorry Mike for thread hijack - I do like your neon set up, as it goes, something I was always gonna do on my last one ... even at the risk of being derided by certain "narrow-minded" forum types ;) ;) :x: ). CheerZ, JB.

Now then, about this smoking thing...
Yes mate, After 95000000 abortive attempts with patches etc, I stopped at the end of last July, and I've not had one since. Dave's right IMO, it is about a state of mind, as I picked up (by mistake) and read "the Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Alan Carr, and by the time I finished it, I'd quit, or at least felt like I did. Not sure it would have worked, however, if I'd not read it all in one hit. As for the cough - expect the worst I'm afraid. I spent a month, about 2 weeks after I'd quit coughing my guts up. Still every bit of disgusting shite that your lungs eject feels like it must be an improvement. I do miss being part of the smokers club, though (especially now we're such social pariahs - much the same reason that I enjoy owning a 4x4 ;) ), but I do feel a lot better overall, without a doubt. I don't think I'll be going back to it. Strangest thing of the lot, is that before I managed to quit I was afraid I'd never enjoy another night out or drink-up, but I actually enjoy drinking a lot more now, so having kicked one addiction, I'll probably soon be joining the AA!! Best of luck with your quitting - key is just not to think of it as "giving up", but as just stopping. That way, you don't feel too much of a sense of loss. CheerZ, JB.

What should I look for when buying a 350zx?
OK - that smart-arse I like ... Hubba, hubba ... But I can assure you right now, this isn't a picture of Paul C .. you must be confused!!
-
What should I look for when buying a 350zx?
So that'll be 25% on the 50% that you Merc boys add by default ... sh-ee-t ... And No, Steve, I don't think anyone's ever had to pay for Paul's arse... quite the contrary according to the "crowd" at his local public convenience!!! :D :D

What should I look for when buying a 350zx?
No-one likes a smart arse, Paul ... LOL :D

Big Roy - M25, A243
Well, I guess it's more of an "It was you" than a "Was it you", but you were behind me, then in front of me, about 4:30 this evening on the M25 ... (Am I even allowed to post a Supra spot here?) :x: Anyway, sorry it took me a while to spot you and acknowledge you, but I was deep in conversation on my mobile (hands free, of course), and it took a while to register it was you (The Plate somewhat gives it away!). Not that I would have challenged your turbo machine in my NA Z anyway!! :smw: CheerZ, JB.

i know its a shame but.....................
Have a great time, mate! I'm an ex-IT bod at the moment, now looking for a career in Parking Consultancy! :smw: But I reckon I can turn my hand to making stuff up about 300s

Grasshopper Meet 17th October
LOL Mike, I was going to nip in with a witty statement about parking - but I'm afraid given my recent track record I can't!! :smw: I'll tell you all about it when I see you! Cheers for your help, yesterday Paul, btw - top man! CheerZ, JB.

Z350!!! What a load a Rubbish
Sort of .. in that they share the basic platform, but make no mistake, it's a Nissan Engine 100% - it just so happens that as part of the company buy-out Renault decided they'd use a derivative of the engine to power the Vel Satis. And why not? The engine is a superb bit of kit, plenty of grunt and a decent soundtrack, but it could do with revving a little higher IMO - red-line is at 6600 .. 7500 would have been nicer! In fact, I think there's a Nismo version available in Japan that does rev a little higher, and produce a few more horsies too! :D

Z350!!! What a load a Rubbish
Hi Pyro - welcome to the turbulent waters of 300zx.co.uk ... LOL  Actually it was my 350 getting Gio'd in the Clarkson video, but I'm putting it down to the weight of his curly barnet (JC was piloting my car) .. piccies to follow on the other channel ;). I'm sure if I'd have been driving and not leaving half of my tyres over the start line the result would have been .. probably the same actually!! I too tried the old "1/5th mile" gag, but even over 1/4 mile, it seems that turbo puff beats N/A muscle for out and out speed. :smw: On a more general note, I agree with Gio actually, I don't think the 300 vs 350 is an apples-for-apples comparison. The 350 is a much more nimble car, that is ultimately more rewarding to razz around the lanes, more akin to the original 240, whereas the Z32 is a luxury rocket-ship, which is quicker in a straight line, which IMO stands out in a class of it's own form the rest of the Z incarnations as a techno-tour-de-force. :) As far as driving both cars, the 350 puts a huge smile on my face, much as my previous Z32s did, but for slightly different reasons as I've already touched upon. It doesn't scare the pants off me like the Z32 used to, when you catch the boost just right, but then it doesn't scare the pants of me that I won't arrive at my destination either, like my Z32 used too!! :D Personally, I think ALL the Zs are great cars, and we ought to spend more time celebrating that. After Z is an exclusive brand all of it's own, and we're all in the know, one way or another. To say the 350 is "rubbish" is just so much narrow-minded clap-trap  Just my 2p. CheerZ, JB.
