350z wheel offsets ?
LOL Andy, this smacks of subterfuge, however, in the chance that you're not mucking about, I found the following information, courtesy of Mr Veilside Z: The offset for the Rays is +30mm & +33mm, but the difficult part is that it all depends on the design / type of wheel because it is all relative to the mounting surface... 5 bolt 114.3 PCD bolt pattern Standard Wheels / Tyres 18” x 8J +30mm offset – Factory standard 18” 225/45WR18 – Factory standard 18” Revolutions per mile = 777.0 18” x 8J +30mm offset – Factory standard 18” 245/45WR18 – Factory standard 18” Revolutions per mile = 756.0 18” x 8J +30mm offset – Factory standard 18” Rays 225/45WR18 – Factory standard 18” Rays Revolutions per mile = 777.0 18” x 8.5J +33mm offset – Factory standard 18” Rays 245/45WR18 – Factory standard 18” Rays Revolutions per mile = 756.0 Of course, if you were seriously looking for a set of these wheels, I'm just waiting for some tyres (forever it seems  ) before my new super-bling wheels go on, and I haven't made up my mind about my Rays just yet. ;) CheerZ, JB.

Boost Jets / Mig Tips / What ever there called?
I'm about all weekend, Glynn .. just give me a call or drop me a PM .. prolly Saturday morning, as I'll most likely be out the front cleaning cars anyhow!! :D

Cars you regularly whoop!
Not me guvnor! I'm with the Toolmeister on this one .. we say "No" to snobbery. :slap: Unfortunately, it's true that a lot of them are not interested in Z DNA, but I suspect they're mainly the people who just buy them 'cos they're a cool new car (let's be honest, better than any other coupé for the money at the mo). I have to say, though, quite a few of the guys that are dedicated to keeping their 350s and modding them are interested and even told me how much they liked my 300 when I joined their forum. I do take issue with the bubble car analogy though - I think my car is lurrvelly .. :D ;) CheerZ, JB.

What is your favourite brand of polish?
Anybody using Zaino? I've heard it's superb .. I was thinking about ditching my Autoglym, based on the feedback I've been hearing. :D

Club Secretary Election Result
Well done, mate, I'm sure you'll be a credit to the role. Commiserations to Jock, who I'm sure would have done a great job too. (Glynn, nobody let Stu near any Fosters at Billing did they? )

Billing Pics - Mass Merge
Ashamed to hear about people acting so pathetically, can assure you that if I'd have been there, instead of poncing about in a tail-coat and waistcoat, as I actually was at the time, I wouldn't have made excuses about not being able to start my engine, I'd have just told you to F**k right off straightaway!! Tee-hee, just joking, really there's no excuse for that sort of behaviour, but thankfully, all the 350 guys I've met so far, have been of the extremely helpful variety .. s'pose there's always a few tossers about in any gathering, though, eh? :nono: Looks like a great show again ..... I will be back next year .. oh yes, I will be back next year!! :D

Happy Birthday Cerina (aka XCK 1)

New Everyday Driver Came Today....Go On Take The Pi55
Mike, surely you mean "Ladies would like to own it", because it's a girls car!! Will you be changing your MSN login to "Vidal"? ;) You could at least have passed it off as the missus's car!! :D That's what I did when I turned up at a meet in an SLK with a number plate reading "SU51E", Doh! That's given the game away. CheerZ, JB.

Big Bro
LOL - I don't disagree with a word he says, but I still maintain that that's what makes it complusive viewing - although I have to admit, I am a bit of a reality tv addict. :slap: I especially don't disagree that filling the house with toxic chemicals wouldn't also be hugely entertaining, although you must admit, the entertainment factor would be slightly more short lived! :p I'll drop the justification on the age front though, Macca, I'm no spring chicken myself :nono: . Still not as old as you though, bud!!! :hyper: Long live BB 5!!
-
Big Bro
LOL Macca - this must be a sign of your age, mate. ;) It's precisely because they're so awful that makes it such great viewing. I'm gutted if I have to miss a 10 o'clock show, and I'd have been doubly gutted if I'd missed last night's flesh-fest :hyper: I've been addicted to all of the previous series of BB, but I reckon this is the best so far .. it's amazing what strong reactions it provokes though, people either love it or hate it ... Becki or Ahmed to go, then? CheerZ, JB.

top kit mr shrimp
Any sign of the "enhanced" range, Pete? I'm pretty much potless at the moment, but that has done little to quell my insatiable desire for more bling .. and a silver grounding kit is just what the doctor ordered!! :D CheerZ mate, JB.

40k?
LOL - I wish you'd used your money more wisely then, and paid cash for mine!!! The I wouldn't have a finance deal to worry about. Just out of interest, it may be slow compared to the mother of all Zs, but slow it ain't (especially now the engine's starting to loosen up). It will keep up with a stock 300 IMO. ;) What's more, it'll keep up with one easily on the back of the AA truck!!  CheerZ, JB. :p :D

300zx still king
Well, with regard to Superchargers ... There are at least 3 options that I'm aware of, currently all being talked about by some of the 350 boys ... 1. Middelhurst are doing the Stillen Supercharger for round about £5k (I think), which reputedly ups the power to 370-ish bhp at 0.5 bar, without an intercooler, somewhat more with it, but it's serious extra dough. Also, you lose the strutty in the front, and need to have a hump in the bonnet (which looks fine if you go for the new bonnet with integral hump, but horrid as an added on bit of plastic) ... one of the guys on 350zuk.com is having this fitted as we speak - so looking forward to hearing how he gets on! One big advantage is that I think it's compatible with the Nissan warranty for 12 months, since it's a Middelhurst jobby. 2. Vortech do a nice kit too, one of the guys on the forum already has one, and reckons it's superb. According to their website it raises the US power from 287 to 412 bhp (flywheel), but I'm guessing this must be the intercooled version. I think this runs at 0.7 bar, and comes complete with piggy back fuel computer etc, etc. I believe this is being touted as the best conversion available in the US. 3. There's also a kit from a company called "Procharger", I think - but I don't know anything about it. As you may have guessed, I'm taking more than a passing interest in how these guys get on, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to procure the sign-off on a project like this, especially as I'm just about to get made redundant!! Still, one can but dream ... CheerZ, JB.

Ok to wave at 350Zs??!!
Ok mate - I'll get on that diet, you get them platform boots you've been after ;) Not sure about painting your Z purple, though ...

Ok to wave at 350Zs??!!
Good job, they can't see you over the dashboard then, unless you've got your booster cushion in!!
-
Ok to wave at 350Zs??!!
It's nice to see you've finally acknowledged it. Thank-you, loyal subject! :p
-
Ok to wave at 350Zs??!!
Excuse Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've tried it the other way round, and not had much joy ... but I'll keeping on waving to other Zs as I go along .... and that includes 240/260/280 and Z31. Cos, you're quite right in your assumption, however .. I posted a poll on the 350 forum to see how many other owners had had the pleasure of a previous Z, and we were massively outnumbered by about a 10:1 ratio. :( I'll always wave back, though, of course, an NOT with single or double finger, either, Mark!! :slap: My advice is keep waving, most of the enthusiasts are aware of where the 350 came from!! CheerZ, JB.

How elitist are the "Z" club!!!
No need for ranting here, matey ... I don't think you're getting grief, because you want to sell it on the z-club website, you've just indadvertantly re-opened a wider question of whether we should have a separate section for non-Z related items that are for sale. And this is only because one of the members reported the post. In the past, other members have moaned about increasingly diverse objects appearing in the for sale section .. which does have a clearly defined usage policy. As I mentioned in my post, almost everyone who's tried to answer the senior member of the club who reported your post (and we had to do that) has said that "yes, we do want to see non-z related items for sale" and even more so in the case of your S12, cos it's something we're all likely to be interested in and it is a performance Nissan. I agree that the bloke who questioned your peformance figures went a bit OTT with his criticism, but it has been entertaining and interesting to read. I don't even know if he's a subscribed member of the club. At the end of the day, a lively thread like that makes a change on a site that can be as quiet as a graveyard. I can't see any evidence of a personal attack on you, or any evidence of elitism wrt to the sale of Silvia ZX (although you can't deny, it isn't a model that the club caters for). I don't think it's an elitist club, the people I've met have all been friendly and helpful, otherwise I wouldn't pay my subs at the end of the day. I wouldn't take any of what's been said there personally ... :) CheerZ, JB.

Beat this: 26 Vehicles in 16 years!
Thanks mate ... very kind of you to say so ... :D Stu, it's not a fair comparison, though, I reckon you've spent more on bling than I spent on my first 10 motors all told!! Can anyone posting on here (apart from Mr F) beat 6 Zeds, I wonder? I'm quite sure the 350 won't be my last, btw ... :D CheerZ, JB.

Beat this: 26 Vehicles in 16 years!
Hmm, sure I've been through this before, but I've been driving 16 years too. Current tally is: 1. Renault 18ts 2. VW Scirocco GLS 3. Audi Coupé GT 5S 4. VW Scrirocco GLS 5. Fiat X/19 6. Vauxhall Chevette GL :xxx: 7. BMW 323i 8. Datsun 260Z 2+2 :hyper: 9. Datsun 280zx 2-str  10. Toyota Celica Gti 16v 11. Saab 9000 turbo 16 12. Porsche 924 turbo (makes a 300 look reliable) :) 13. VW Scirocco GTX 14. Citroen BX Gti 16v (shite one) 15. Audi Coupé GT5S 16. Citroen BX Gti 16v (nice one) 17. Porsche 944s 16v (another unreliable piece of Germanic toss) 18. Nissan 200sx S14a :D 19. Jeep Cherokee 4.0L (still got) 20. 300zx TT auto UK-spec (sold on) 21. 300zx TT manual UK-spec (deceased) 22. 300zx TT J-spec (sold on) 23. 350z UK Spec (current motor) :hyper: So, not quite 26, but not a bad haul in 16 years .. :) Top 5: 1. 350z - of course. 2. 300zx UK TT Manual - M Reg - loved that car. 3. 300zx J-spec (batmobile) - love/hate relationship and a bit scary 4. 200sx S14a - great value, ease of ownership - performance bargain 5. Porsche 924 turbo - nearly bankrupt me, but at the age of 22, it wee'd all over what my mates had at the time! :) Ahhh .. happy days. CheerZ, JB.

Local Elections - June 10th
Well said, Jock .. I don't believe the support that the BNP has garnered in this poll is because people are 100% in accordance with all of their policies, and definitely not the "discriminatory undertones", but it's a pure and simple Protest Vote. What they've done is to pick up on a growing form of resentment that comes about as a direct result of the things we've all been discussing here. Issues such as positive discrimination, immigration and the seeming willingness to protect those who profess sentiments not supported by the vast majority of the country and villify those who say what the vast majority are thinking. To me, the liberal intellectual elite have a very clear idea of how they'd like us to lead our lives, their way. Of course, this subtle form of control is cleverly administered by the spin doctors of the government, but I think it's becoming increasingly evident. Hence the protest vote here. That's the way I see it, anyhow ... personally, I'll be happy to vote Tory on the day - but that's a whole other story :D. CheerZ, JB.

Local Elections - June 10th
Hmmm, nothing more than sound-bites IMO - nice idea, but utter tosh. After all, if you really want to point out some of the fundamental reasons for the state of the country today, you'd soon be silenced and branded racist/sexist/homophobic/little englander or any other term that the Guardian reading types seem to find convenient to brand anyone who happens to disagree with their line of ridiculous liberalism. I take both the point that it's vital to vote, and the counter-argument that often there's no-one to vote for ... as we live in a "semi" free state, we do at least get the choice to exercise that vote or not. Personally, I like to go and vote at every opportunity I can ... It's my opinion, that certain politicians (especially the current incumbent of No. 10) is very happy with the apathetic "there all as bad as each other" viewpoint, if anything's likely to extend their tenure over office then that is. So, I shall be doing my bit on the day (as always), and attempting to keep my local council blue .. :hyper: CheerZ, JB.
