  1. A good boost test and fix will probably sort it, that or the recircs. With the consult or data scan I would be looking for tps voltage, fault codes, temp sensor and I'd use it to confirm the timing is still correct. If you post a screen shot at idle once warm then I'm sure there will be some helpful comments. Testing recircs is tricky, they all leak a bit. Personally I deleted mine. It's not so likely though as you are still making good boost
  2. Why don't you drop mark at auto modz a pm. He can get you a prop made, I think jimmer can do this too
  3. Hi mate First thing I would do is check for a boost leak. After that get it plugged into a consult. I would also strongly consider the standard recircs if you still have them fitted. Hope this helps
  4. Here you go http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324634
  5. Hi dan Didn't see your reply. I relocated my fuel filter under the car. On the swb there is a perfect location, it is very similar to many other cars. I don't have a picture of it fitted but I fitted it in the bottom right corner in this picture between the fuel tank (black pipes) and the fuel lines. You can even use the original bracket if using the Oem. It then gets covered by the plastic pipe guards. I'll try to send you a link to a guide I found
  6. I would guarantee this is for a rear fog light
  7. TT is boosted, na is not
  8. The Oem will be enough for the standard pump which is is good for at least 500 hp
  9. Not true dude, later TT models dropped the variable cam timing and went the a 16 bit ecu but all are dohc
  10. The mbc is effectively a one way valve, if you boost to 12 psi for example this pressure would be trapped in the line betwee the valve and the wast gate actuators. The pin hole is there to bleed off the pressure allowing tha waste gate to close again after boosting. In a perfect world. This air would be returned back into the system after the arm but in reality it will be fine. Just make sure that you are taking your boost supply from the pressure outlet on the hardline after the intercooler ( block off the other side) then after the mbc. Run a t to both waste gates trying to make sure each hose is roughly equal in length.
  11. To answer the question, you would have to be running around 28 psi to hit 6 bar fuel pressure
  12. As standard the System should be at about 3 bar absolute. So at idle the should be about 33 psi and at 1 bar of boost the system should be at 4 bar absolute eg 45psi. I'm sure the stock pump can maintain a higher pressure than this though. Is there a problem with your pump?
  13. Yeah the above link describes things well. Much better than I did. Stephen- when you get you mbc feel free to ask about the plumbing
  14. These are off the standard uk 350z, not Ray's as far as I know 18x8 et30 all round A 235 40 all round should work well
  15. Ok, I guess that's the problem The stock system works by applying a vacuumed to the actuator, at 7psi or so the wast gate opens. This line has a t in it and when in normal (not safety boost) mode the solenoid is open. This allows a bit of vacuume to be bleed off ( there is a restrictor in this line) so when the car boost to 7 psi the actuator sees 5psi and at 9 it would see 7 and open the waste gate. Basically, if you just have a single line from the pipe to the actuator, you will always see 7psi. However the smaller you make the restrictor, the more of a boost spike you will see. This is bad. i would suggest your simplest solution would be to fit a manual boost valve. I have been running one until I fit an ebc I would recommend this one- use a ball and Spring type http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MBC-Manual-Boost-Controller-any-Petrol-Turbo-Car-Ball-Spring-BLACK-/131623023249?hash=item1ea557f291 Once you get it running on 14psi be prepared for a big suprise!
  16. Ps I'd probably go for a 40 micron filter
  17. Where did you add the weld tips. Have you bypassed the boost solenoids? I assume you understand how the std system works?
  18. Hi mate, Where are you relocating the filter to? You have a shortie so I may be able to give you some tips if you want
  19. I'm not sure if they will fit or not, I couldn't see the thread size. You want m12 x 1.25 There is a very nice set of nismo lug nuts, they are 7 sided too to help on the theft protection. I'll be picking up a set from Japan some time. The rest of the updates work except the stickers. Nismo stickers belong on nismo wheels :-)
  20. Not Oem but a lot cheaper if you are on a budget http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROPSHAFT-CARRIER-CENTRE-BEARING-NISSAN-300ZX-1990-1996-30mm-X-145mm-13-/331597139243?hash=item4d34bacd2b If you decide on the Oem you are better off with the complete single piece prop
  21. Welcome mate, Tewksbury is very close to me when I'm in the uk (Evesham)
  22. I have a degree in engineering and it was still a pain in the ass. Fitting new trims is nice , also make sure that the rubber edge that presses against the glass doesn't get damaged as it does have to be waterproof Non of my business really, are you sure you want gold trim!
