  1. no problem mate. cream was an option on jap spec. i think mine have been recovered at some point though. feel free to drop me a pm etc any time if you are having any problems. like you say im just down the road and there aint many of us round here. ive sorted most of the common issues on my car now so im quite clued up if you need some help. got a nice and quiet exhaust for sale soon as well
  2. are you sure you want solid engine mounts. they will be really harsh and put alot of extra strain through the gearbox etc. looks good though
  3. hi mate. i might be selling mine soon. they are cream leather, the driver seat is a little scruffy, im going to be giving mine a full retrim, i think it will be black leather with gray alcantara panels etc. i live in ludlow by the way
  4. ill be fitting 17s to mine. mind you they are 9" on the front and 10" on the back. its all about the offset really. nothing worse than a nice set of wheel set back into the arches
  5. what are you using to prep the plastic before paint. i have a 99 spec waiting to go on and i can spray 2k but im not sure if i should be using some sort of plastic primer or just use a good quality 2 part etch primer. can you help
  6. how much do you want for them gibster. pm me if you like. sorry for the hijack
  7. the lower front ball joints can also cause similar problems
  8. it has the rear lights from a vw scirocco.
  9. a friend of mine had a strong smell of petrol in his 200sx. The garage looked at loads of different things. Turns out it was the cd auto changer screwed into the boot floor and through the petrol tank:smash: As far as i can remember i think it was the same garage as fitted the auto changer. Aint nissan main dealers great
  10. i was wondering if anyone lives in essex. in particular southend on sea. I have bought a cat back exhaust off ebay which i dont think the bloke will post. I will be going to the zed world xmas do thingy. So if there is anyone heading up there that wouldnt mind doing me a huge favour then there in a case of beer/ bottle of your choice in it.:D if not ive got a long drive:(
  11. surely this is the gain he is adjusting, not the boost? adjusting the gain is the boost ramp up surely. if he is boosting less than 15 psi then its going to be safe ?
  12. the only bit you can fabricate would be the centre bar, you would still have to use the same rods and ends which you say have play. you would need to be able to cut a thread in eliminator. also i would not use stainless on this. if you were to use the correct grade it would cost nearly as much to buy a new eliminator. i would not make one and ive built a car from scratch (not the steering rack) and im a design engineer. please dont do it.
  13. it might actually work though
  14. i thought about doing this as i was looking at buying a na swb. the main problem you will have is space. the bonnet line is vey low on the zed so mounting it on top is a big problem unless you want a huge bonnet bulge. you could use two smaller eaton units (m40 i think) from a cooper s if you were to remove the aircon and move the power steering pump to the other isde. you might just have enough room for one each side. otherwise you would be better off with a single centrifugal blower like a vertox. being a centrifugal supercharger you dont have the same charactoristics as a positive displacement type though and it will be a bit more like a turbo. in a nutshell unless you really know what you are doing or have lots of money to throw at it i would steer well clear and either get a tt or do an engine swap for somthing like a v8 nissan, lexus, chevy lsx. or perhapse an rb26. if you want any pointers im fitting a twin turbo lexus v8 into my 200sx so i have a bit of experience with this. if none of the above has put you off then go ahead and get fabricating. oh and good luck
  15. i was thinking of changing mine. not to sure i like the sound although many have said it sounds good. Its quite quiet but has a bit of bass to it. i want to hear the v6 scream a bit more. at the moment its just a noise. mine has no y / H pipe.
  16. it might make a nice coffee table
  17. he/she looks just like my old dog when she was a pup. a whipit of some sort i guess?

  21. i think this is what could be up with mine too, anyone near ludlow/evesham with a consult?
  22. my manual conversion is going to take a bit of time as i have got to get my project car onto its wheels so i can move it out of my garage. (its a bare shell by the way) i think ill take it off the road for a month or two to sort out everything at once.
