  1. The reason it still goes forward when in neutral is most probably because the clutch has wrecked itself and welded itself together. Changing the filter, you have to ask yourslef why it needs doing. And almost always its because the box has had it, sure you are delaying the day, but its coming.
  2. A blocked filter can often buzz. And oil can ofen smell burn even when new. Have you checked the oil warm, engine running in park or neutral? By the way, every time you loose drive you are probably damaging something soft, like clutch plates, in your box.
  3. When your box destroys its self it also spreads millions of tinmy bits of metal everywhere, inc the oil cooler. Unless the cooler is really cleaned well, and some say buy a new one, when you change your box these bits from the cooler then start to wreck the "new" box too. But your problem may be low fluid, or the strainer (filter) blocking. But you have to ask why the strainer is blocking in the first place.
  4. Well I have had a similar problem with Paul, months ago now and I have given up on him. So theres two of us now. Shame.
  5. Must admit to thinking why (if the size is available) anyone would need a better tyre than a 452 Falken, from a cost/grip/wear point of view. Just my thoughts.
  6. My Tyres do a wear/grip table from most tyres, inc the ones in question here, you can compare different tyres to give you an idea.
  7. The likes of VW fit Kumho as original equipment so I can see no way they are no good as there is too much risk of law suites if they fit a poor tyre and people crash.
  8. I sold a car to a friend, he put it into Edwor***** for an alarm some months after buying it, picked it up from them with a big end rattle. He thought they had ragged it about. Nice.
  9. Edworthy's? I would not trust them to tell me the time of day. And many companies will not bother to email you back but a phone call can bring results.
  10. I use Falkens, have done for years. But then I am not a "tyre snob", I buy what I think does the job.
  11. Trouble with side mounts is getting rid of the air after its gone through the cooler, Nissan seem to have forgotten about this fact on a standard Z. Some put exit scoop things on the bumper, but IMHO they look out of place. Some say the pressure inside the wheel arch is high and so resticts the exit air. But this is my prefered choice, but I dont know.
  12. Yes I know, but every little helps, well probably not but its easy to do.

  14. I am guessing but if one injector has gone are the rest in need of a good looking at?
  15. Restricted, as in semi blocked oil way to that journal?
  16. As Dan says, if fitting s/h make sure you get them checked before you fit them as its a real pain to change them in the first place, let alone a second time.
  17. A big oil pressure light is often a far quicker warning of loss of oil pressure, sometimes the guage takes to long to register and by then its back up again, and we dont always notice it either.... Where as the light is ON.
  18. I have some 555 injectors for sale, secondhand, BUT, you MUST have them checked before you even think about fitting them as I had problems with two of them.
  19. But who is going to plough through endless psots just to find out if the guy is OK or not? Far beter to simply look in one place. For example, the Supra site. Here is a copy: Join Date: Nov 2005 Country: United Kingdom Location: England - East Midlands Posts: 6,583 Sales Feedback: 97% (27) What could be easier?
  20. I dont think it will solve ALL problems at all, let alone instantly. However as Tesco say, every little bit helps. And I for one would like to be able to thank good buyers and sellers in a public manner so all can see. Equally, to be able to make sure everyone can see when some scum bags plays about. It WILL save some hassle....But, maybe the problem is that although it keeps cropping up, nothing gets done. If the Mods, or whoever refuse to do it, fine. At least we know where we stand, but to say yes, then nothing.............
  21. Slight detour, Paul, any news?????????????been ages mate. I must be very patient..
  22. Andy, you sound like you think its not a good idea? If so, is this the reason its not happening? No offence.
