  1. Agreed....My sub is due, but I am waiting for this to be sorted before I pay for my next year, and I cant help wondering if more people held off re subscribing how much quicker this might happen. As Smithy says, lets get on with it.
  2. Thanks for the update. But it is a shame we have to keep asking. cant you give us an update every now and then please? Make it a STICKY so we can find it.
  3. Hi, as above, where are we with this? Anyone? Thanks.
  4. Does that mean some crooked politian should be able to charge us £1000.00 a year in tax? No. Are we, as 300zx owners any more of a "disease" than him? No.
  5. This is an email from my brother, hope its helpful: How many miles has the car done ? Motorway miles or short trips ? Brown oil is old - oxidisation, oil changes can cause malfunctions by stirring up settled contamination. Box is electronic control ( e c u ) through solenoids ( switches ). You say "been going on for about a year" so no mechanical or friction related problem. The box is being "told" to change that way, which is a control fault, ecu or solenoids or valve body etc. Give a mate YOUR ecu FIRST to try on his car, then his ecu on yours if he has no problems
  6. Lol, no I have to give him some new ones.
  7. sent him an email and my log in, he should respond soon....
  8. Its NOT David Cammeron trying to do this but the faggot Brown, you now, the man who has been behind all of the extra tax we all now pay, and the man who "claims" he want us to have more say in what happens but then refuses to have a referendum on the EU. :xxx: . Not saying Cammeron will be different but its not him.
  9. I will ask if my brother will talk to you if you like? He is retired but did nothing but autos. Yes/no?
  10. If you look at the petion on the PM;s website about road charging and how many people signed it, it at least brought it to the governments attention, the same might work for this. So, we shoud do one, who can write it???
  11. Finally got my car going, using some borrowed new O rings. Car runs nicely again, only thing changed were the six injectors, nothing else... The End
  12. I know this is not NEW news, but the government, esp the current one, is really good at sneaking laws in under our noses, and then it is too late. Just look at the EU constituition, sorry, re alignment. My reason for starting this thread is to get as many people knowing about it as possible. I hope it just goes away, like the road charging "seems" to have done. We have a legitimate argument for exemption. But will we be heard?
  13. Its on the news today, but it has been simmering away for months. you know what happens, its all of a sudden there and we are too late. Someone clever with words should put a thing on the prime ministers blog thingy, like the road toll thread? If this happens many people will loose their jobs too, just think of all the supras, rx7s, GTO, all Yank cars etc tec who buy bits etc. If only I had a gun.
  14. The colour of their tie will not help. I have read that all cars will get clobbered regardless of age. I have posted on the Supra forum and the GTO forum, can anyone else think of anywhere I have missed and post there too. It will not effect the likes of the E type clubs because the faggotts who make our laws may well be members, but Jap cars will get it. Times like this I wish we were French, or at least had their attitude.
  15. Our stupid governement is considering, again, making drivers of big engined cars pay £1000 in road tax. Putting the cost of buying a £60,000 Range Rover up is fine, because the buyer will not notice. The reports I have heard before simply said if the engine did not have a Co2 rating it would go on size, and 3000cc engines would get clobbered. If this happenes there will be many cars that simply become worthless, who will buy them? Who can afford £1000 for a few thousand miles a year? Also, all people who sell parts, service, or import them will be out of business. Even the insurance companies will notice a drop in revenue. If we sit back and let this happen the politians will do it. A united front of all forums, owners/drivers clubs etc may help. But it has to start somewhere. I for one can not afford to throw my 300 away, but neither wil I pay £1000 a year to tax it, nor should I have to.
  16. The best has to the SWB TT Manual with targa's. Just like mine, lol. I know the slick top is rare but you cant beat the open roof.
  17. I think that there should be some sort of "Code" on this forum, something that sets out some basic rules that the buyer expects from the seller and vice versa. BUT, do I expect it to happen? Nope......
  18. Only rich people have them, I have a muddy ditch at the bottom of the garden, but the water gets changed once a year when it snows.
  19. Never notice any difference, maybe because I use the same water each month?
  20. "I've got bigger fish to fry than anyone like Mark though" Not sure if I should be pleased or insulted. Lol
  21. Ok Tubz, I am a bit touchy over this, and I may have been a bit short, however in answer: 1) I accept thats what you meant, but it is not what you said. New ECU with JD chip mapped for 555's installed with injectors, however the faults would not be affected one way or the other by the ECU. 2) See 1) above. 3) Many people sell, and buy S/H injectors on this forum, a good second hand injector should be what it says. The O rings issue was simply the last straw. Poor pattern refers to the spray pattern of the injector, is the shape of the spray, ok? Should I have had them checked? Yes, more fool me for trusting the guy. But if you MUST spend £150.00 (by thye time they are posted etc etc) on top of the cost in the first place you may as well buy new ones and be safe. Which I have now done. TBH removing the plenum is such a pain the cost of new injectors is insignificant. Almost. So, to try and end this thread, I am sorry for being short, maybe will meet one day, :-), and if I was as clever then, as I am now about injectors there is no way I would do the same thing.
  22. Good Point, lol. I will get my coat...
  23. In answer to the vaious points raised. Yes they were used, but described as good and if I remember correctly just removed from his engine because he was breaking the whole car. He also sold me an Aluminium flywheel at the same time, this was sold as a Fidanza and only done a few miles, the flywheel does not look like a Fidanza, no name on it either, and looks to be well used, actually abused as it has signs of obvious over heating. So, injectors are not the only issue. He flattly refused any compensation. I would have not re visited this thread if he had simply done as he said after I complained and sent me a set of O rings. Seeing as he couldnt be bothered to do that simple thing I thought "sod him" . And it was the second failure to send the O rings that makes me call him a liar. Simply put, if he sent them the second time as promised I would have left it at that. Thats fair I think. I treated them with Kid Gloves, and with hind sight no I would never fit s/h ijectors again especially in one of our engines. And as I also said, my intention is to warn others, and to keep the idea of a sellers/buyers feedback section going as the people in charge of this forum "seem" to be reluctant to make it happen. and we have more than enough members.
  24. TBH my main objective is doing my best to stop anyone else getting the same treatment from him, or anyone else really as my post, and any like it, brings the subject up and keeps it "current", we were supposed to be having a software update or something to allow a rating like Ebay, or similar, to be instigated, seems to have gone quiet though..... :-( And thanks.
