PC Help
No, feels normal. Mouse is fine, and as I said, even just trying to type a line of full stops, or this "fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff for example, caused it to stop three times. But the "stop" is more like a pause. seems to do it all of the time. Games too. And its getting worse....

But, if I look under proscesses, Sytem Idle Process is listed as 99. Does that mean anything?

PC Help
CPU usage is 19%, if I move the mouse round and round it goes to 21 to 22%, sometimes, not often 24%. Left alone its stable at 19%. Have done an antiv virus, up to date AVG nothing found, also used Spybot and Adaware, nothing.

PC Help
Hi All, my PC has developed a funny (to me) fault. For example, if I am moving the mouse (but it does it at all times) in a continuous movement it stops, momentarily, every one second, it stops and as quickly moves again. It does it also when I do this too ........... ................. .................. ............... the spaces are representing the "pause" that the pc makes when I hold my finger on the full stop key continuously. Any ideas please

5w30 oil??????
IMHO 5w-30 is not good enough for our engines. And being recommended by Ferrari means nothing as they are a bunch of lying, cheating, moaning old gits and poor loosers whoos cars are driven by old rich people who hardly ever drive them and then not how they should be. And a service costs more than our cars are worth. You may guess I dont like Ferrari. lol

WARNING! Suspect Jap exporter.
I stress the word "SUSPECT". Enquired about a car on their site, told it was still for sale, but it is on an American site as being in the USA. The dates are the same. As in, it is on sale in Japan, and not for sale in the USA. Emailed them, but got some wishy washy reply. http://www18.ocn.ne.jp/~mamiana/index.html

loud knocking noise
Its all very well telling him to run his engine for half an hour with ATF in the oil to unstick a hydraulic tappet, but if it is something else more serious he has just added a load more damage, maybe.

Anyone fancy a group buy on the complete clutch line replacement?
Interested too.

Automatic transmission additives
One of the problems with autos is the seals can and do go hard over time, a good additive can soften these and the box can work quite again. Some on here dont like them, and if I had a new/good auto I too may steer away, but if your box is "tired" they can help. Us a "Named" one.. Years ago I used to put half a liter of thinners in old Ford boxes that had lost top gear, worked a treat.

Exchanging Jap N/A clocks for UK TT clocks!!!
I had a series 2.5 into which I fitted series 1 dials. just disassembled the original clocks and rebuilt using the UK parts I wanted. No problem.

5w30 oil??????
What he said...But, in addition there is also the question of oil rated at 5 or below can be too thin for our engines. But you realy need to read up on it because there are as many different answers as there are different oils....

What tyres do you find the best for your zed and why
Mine were cheapest at tyretraders, camskill were very close too.

What tyres do you find the best for your zed and why
Just went out in the summer downpour, heavy rain, my son was driving, gave it a good bootfull, not max but quite fast, in a straight line didnt unstick the rears. 452 Falken's. They are good. 265/30/19. SWB TT manual. Standard boost.

With all the various comments, some completely contradicting others views. No disrespect to the person who started it, but is he any better off I wonder? How, I wonder, can one person say Toyo's are great, and then someone else says they are bad. I am not taking sides here as I have no exp with Toyo's. Just my thoughts.

Falken are fine esp when you consider the cost.

oil pressure and oil temperature
A better way, IMHO, is to drive slowly the last mile or so. This way you get the cooling air flowing over the engine/rads/brakes/gearbox/diff/tyres etc etc.

Autobox, only got 1st and 2nd
My point being, IF you spend money, however much, for a rebuild, then thats what you should get. Many people on here have rebuilds (read repairs?), just for the box to go wrong again soon afterwards (relatively). If you "buy" a repair, fair enough, but a rebuild is just what it says on the tin. Or should be. And lets face it, these boxes are not that clever. They are old tech now. Anyone worth his claim of being an automatic gearbox specialist can rebuild these in his sleep. The few on here that have had proper, and often fast road, rebuilds dont seem to suffer problems afterwards.

With all due respect, as I have said, third gear clutch is a weak point, loosing third is common, you can do all the checks you want but I am pretty confident in the end you will find the clutch has had it. On a "fast road" modified box, IIRC they modify the third gear clutch piston (as well as the valve body) to make this clutch much stronger.
