Pointers on buying a 300zx?
There is no good reason for any difference in insurance apart from they can charge extra, so they do.

Pointers on buying a 300zx?
I suggest you dont limit yourself to a UK car only, imports tend to be rust free, not something that can always be said of a UK car. Its simple really, buy the BEST car you can find. And remember there are some real dogs out there, which pulls down the rest. :-(

Need Wheel nuts
Hi, I have some Stern ST2 alloys. I need a set of nuts, but the type needed are the sort that actually go inside the hole in the wheel a bit. Like a sleeve/spigot. They are not just tapered. I have tried a few places but seem to get nowhere. Any ideas? I also need 4 long studs if anyone has any. Cheers.

Boost controllers
Hi, looking for an Electronic Boost controller, but does it have to be dual solenoid (for example) And is a cheaper "proper make" unit OK, or does it need to be a clever unit to cope with the two turbos. Thanks.

Vibrations at Speed
With wheels, if the car shakes its the rears, if the steering wheel shakes, its the fronts.
-
Vibrations at Speed
Someone who knows what wheels out of balance feels like could tell you.
-
Steering wheel
Mine are on the push part. If you push too hard when stting the speed the horn sounds
-
Vibrations at Speed
Have you thought of having the wheels balanced just in case? Cheaper, and easier than the prop. Rear wheels out of balance will shake the car.

Shite brakes
A big difference can be had from new fluid, as others have said. And no matter what you do later you will need new fluid, so do it first.

Grades and types of Oil to use
This question has been asked, and argued over, a thousand times. Its not likley you will get many sensible answers. Do a search. And then make your own mind up. As for me and what I use? I have no idea. (safe) But, make sure its a good make, at least Semi Synth.

intercoolers?
One of the Jap car mags did a test on cheap FMIC compared to standard and a good FMIC. The cheap FM was not as good as the standard cooler. On a Scooby, but the point is valid.

PC Help, please.
Hi, I have an AMD 3000+ 1 gig ram, Radeon 9800 pro, etc etc. All fine until a few weeks ago. Now, when using MS Word ONLY, PC switches off. You have to switch it off at the back for a few seconds and then its OK.. Heavy game play is fine, internet fine. It only does it with word, re enstaled Word, and its the same. Any ideas?

Auto Z Twin turbo - Acceleration Improvement
Tecknique can make a big difference, if you build the power up against the brakes, ie left foot hard on brakes and give it some gas, not too much or it will light the rear tyres, and then go it will be far faster. Also, on mine full throttle is not quite as good as two thirds for the first 20 feet or so. A fast road upgrade will help the box change gear better too. Def do the cooler.

Replacement lights for Fogs
Yes, or possibly if there is a warning lamp that comes on at the same time. But the best way is for them to be wired to the main beam. A good pair can make a massive difference, and its not just outright power, lens and reflector design are important too. I have found that cheap big power bulbs can be not as bright as a good quality, legal power bulbs. Fog lights also have to be no more than a certain height above the ground. All legal tosh of course as proven by the amount of drivers who use them all the time.
