Fog light gives a flat beam with a not too good range. Spot/driving light gives a round (generally) beam that goes well down the road. Fogs for those who like to pose. Driving lights for those who drive.

If I can add my ten pence worth. I had alook at mine, all OK. But the end float thrust bearings, as located on a main bearing shell, needed replacing. Nothing bad, just slightly worn. Have a look at your mains before you rebuild it. Mine has been going for 18 months or so now, no problems. And remember that technology has moved on since the 60's and 70's. In those days things didnt last anywhere near as long as they do now. :-)

Just saying that that was then and this is now, hopefully we can all be friendly.

I was a subscriber, didnt renew over a year ago because of the sort of things that were being said, in many places too, as B19rks has said. But I thought I would give it another go. :-)

They "seem" to be selling cars that have parts missing etc. Or have sold cars with a lesser spec than advertised. Thought it might help someone in case they are thinking of buying.

Also, a blocked filter can make them noisy.

I asked this question a little while ago. Answers I got varied as always. Front 8.5" wide wheel, 235/35..... Rear 9.5" wide wheel 265/30, seems to be the common choice.

The X center says its boss's are for Hicas. Ring him if you are not sure he is a nice bloke.

I have offered the wheel up (without tyre) and the clearance to the arch is not too bad, its the clearance to the inner wing liners etc when steering that looks worse. Trouble is its not so bad that I "know" they will not fit, but neither is it so easy to see that I "know" they will fit. I have measured until the cows come home but am really no nearer making my mind up. Hence, my hope that someone does have some 20 offsets fitted and can give me a straight answer. One chap on here says he has 10 offset and that they are ok. But I cant PM him to ask. Sorry for going on guys.

Yes, thanks, I saw that. My problem is I need to know from someone who has fitted 19"s so I know for sure. I did a search, and as usual there is so many different ideas that I am no better off. Anyone know for sure?

AS above, I need to know exactly what off set you guys are running with 19" wheels, and if they rub etc..My son bought me a set with 20 offset on the fronts. 19x8.5 20 offset Will they fit? I ask because without tyres they look a bit close, and if I fit tyres I cant exchange them... Thanks.
