Exhaust gaskets needed
Before I go to the Nissan garage and wait a month, has anyone got a pair of gaskets which go between the back end of the cat pipes to the next set of pipes. The join is in about the middle of the car. Thanks.

Fuel Protests
And whats wrong with that? France has a better health service, better standard of living (I think) and they will not be trodden on by the government. They do not put up with mass redundancies when a company says its going to another country, (like we do). More power to the people is what the French have and I am all for it.

small number plates
Leave it off. Then say sorry you didnt know it was not on. If you have a small one, (number plate that is) you are saying "up yours" and they know it.

Fuel Protests
Funny how when fuel goes up, through no fault of the Gov or petrol companies, (Yeah Right) It never seems to come down as much as it went up. Big protest like the french I feel.....Block towns solid, if there is enough we would be safe. but I doubt it will happen

Fuel Protests
As petrol is a basic need for 98% of the people in this country it should have its price controlled. In my area you can pay 94.9 (Esso) or 99.9 (indepenent) per litre for diesel. Someone is ripping us off just in the retail price variations. But the Gov steal the most in tax, and rub their hands together every time the price goes up as they get more VAT. If they had any decency they would vary the tax to keep the price reasonable. But they dont care. If that faggot Blair had to buy his own fuel, and had to live on average wages he might feel different. I bet he dosnt even know how much a litre costs.

Fuel Protests
I did vote Labour, sorry NEW labour the first time. But when they started lying so outragously within a few weeks I knew I had got it wrong. Never did it again. 2 days of protests wont make much difference, but a week would. Its not just the topic, its the unrest that goverenments cant take. A small thing like this can lead to the downfall of a government. if we stick to it.

Fuel Protests
All for it. The thing the governement forget is that they are supposed to represent US, not rip us off. Do as the French do and make them listen, or else.

engine rattle at cold start up
Its a simple thing to fit a switch inside the car to stop it starting until you are ready.

Manual or Automatic TT
I have both, a LWB Auto TT (fast road tweaked) and a SWB manual TT. Good and bad for both as has been said BUT, I wanted a manual because there is so much more control when trying hard, simply put you have more gears to chose from, and have more control on which gear, when and how you use it. On long fast roads an auto is fine, but as it gets tighter, more traffic the manual rules. And my standard SWB feels as quick as my tuned auto LWB......

leather re-trim

engine rattle at cold start up
Its reaonable for an engine to rattle its lifters after its been left for a week or so, but if used several times a week they should not rattle. It can be an oil problem, as in wrong grade and/or old oil. Lifters can also been worn. (or gummed up). It can also be an indication of a tired oil pump or also that the oil pressure generally is low. Which might mean new shells etc. IMHO Might be interesting to ask why it has thick oil in it? Is it to "cover up" another problem? Hope not, but take care.

Fair comment. :-)

Which Oil should I use?
Oilman says that with a GOOD oil, say the Silkolene Pro S, changing at 3k is not needed. Throwing money away for no reason. I guess someone is going to say "beter safe than sorry" but if its OK to change at 5-6k, then simply its OK.

Mines ECU
Bit of a contradiction there mate. The longer, (if you like) it takes for an engine to Det, ie the better the fuel. The more boost you can run so more power. Everything else being equal etc.
