  13. Hi all, I know this might not be the PC thing to say on this forum but I say "Say As You Find" I have recently had some trouble with working out what bearings I needed for my Z. Ended up phoning Jeff TT as he had helped me before. What can I say. He could not do enough to help, gave me al the answers I needed, made some good common sense comments, spent time finding info for me without knowing there would be any sale at the end of it. I ordered the parts from him, and his son, thanks Jamie, delivered them personally. Top notch service. I have heard that threads in Jeffs favour get deleted. I dont believe that anyone is that childish....... ;)
  14. Cange of subject, sorry. I havent forgotten our proposed meet Richard, but my car is off road, soon to be fixed I hope.
  15. If you change the colour you might get cheaper insurance because it will go slower.lol
  16. On some UK cars, and I am talking normal run of the mill hatch back types, you have to remove the front bumper just to change the headlight bulbs.!!!
  17. Ebay often has rebuild kits, and someone did a good thread on this subject. Balancing seems to be the hard part. See here for some info http://www.vfaq.com/mods/Turbo-rebuild.html
  18. I have just done valve stem seals on my sons S13, I guess they could be the same. It would be hard to get them wrong, IMHO. If the problem is exactly the same I would say it is NOT the seals. It would be very hard to replace them all and then have the same prob. Almost imposible I would say. Also, if it is using lots of oil, again in my opinion valve stem seals cause small oil use, not lots. Did you check, (hard with the heads still fitted) for play in the valve guides? If these are very worn I would think the seals would strugle to cope? Sounds like rings then I guess, but then a comp check is OK. But adding oil can make a check OK, so if the engine is adding its own oil, if you see what I mean, then the comp check may be wrong??? What are the breathers and inside the oil filler like when the engine is running? Is there oil mist coming out? All IMHO. good luck
  19. Feel free, I hope I am not breaking any rules here. Sorry if I am I didnt think when I posted...
