I too have had a bit of run with SXOC. I am sure they are all related somehow because as soon as "one of theirs" does something wrong, they all defend him and make you, read me, the wrong doer. On one thread I told my story, all replies agreed with me, UNTIL I said who did it. All of a sudden it was all my fault. Childish Idiots who think they know alot more than they do, most of them anyway......

Hi, my son has aS13, (and an R33 GTR on the boat) he thinks he has seen brackets to convert S13's to take the 300z caliper and then to suit an M3 disc (rotor). If this is true, then these brackets would convert the Z too, I think? The M3 rotor being larger diameter... Anyone? Might be a cheap way of upgrading.

In my exp, 2 mates had a UK spec 6spd Supra and the other a P reg GTO, Supra was faster than my Z, just. Brakes made me look like I was still on the gas. But the GTO was no where.

I had a V8 in a boat, and it needed to get properly hot to clear the lifters out after it stood for a while.

I would think if you drove it gently and worked up to high speed keeping an eye on the rev counter and an ear open you would know how many gears you have and if OD is working.

I am doing mine at the mo, although its a long story. About 1.5 hours to get to the bearings, from first jacking the car up. TBH its then that the fun can start. On mine I seem to have an incosistency in the bearing sizes and the stamped sizes. Had to buy a micrometer (arrives next week) to measure the crank to figure it all out. But if not for my particular problem (I might of course just be acting dim) half a day will see it done. Subject to having the bearings in stock. And as long as the crank is OK.

If this garage told you you had to remove the engine to do the big ends and mains they were telling porkies. It is quite easy to do this with the engine in the car.

Have you got all gears? And what is the engine speed at 140, this will help someone help you maybe.

IF the oil presure is low then this can make the liftes noisy. So, worn bottom end, worn pump maybe?
