  1. I have used MyTyres several times and had good service all apart from once when they were out of stock. In this instance they emailed me quickly and another choice was made and it all went well. Average delivery time I guess was about 4-5 days. Not much good for punctures true, but is any mail order any good then?
  2. Which super market chain????
  3. What is the spec of the yellow SWB? And what money are you thinking? Why do you say the converter? And if it is the converter the box will most likely be contaminated too.
  4. I had a SS3, and it was very noisy inside, drove me mad.
  5. I have just bought a Snooper S4, GPS and laser for £207 delivered. Ebuyer.com
  6. OK, thanks, is that £50, a pair? Only asking so Im know what is a good price etc. And with reard to 360 thrust washers, do these just replace the standard ones? And if you dont mind, when fitting roller bearings do you need to machine anything or are they a straight swap? Thanks.
  7. Good write up MTL, best I have read so far. One question, where do you get it balanced? And how much? Thanks.
  8. Not sure thats right, sometimes they just wont go there. might be wrong though
  9. These boxes have a very weak third gear clutch, very often this wears out first, hence no third gear. It is a good idea to ease off the gas when its changing into third to help the clutch cope, probably too late for you I am sorry to say. Might be wrong with yours but the clutch is weak. Smell/look at the fluid.
  10. Thanks Ryan, yes I have a crane to hold the engine. I might know what I need this weekend.
  11. I agree, but did he not say that the noise started all of a sudden? If so they would not have worn over night. I know a can of cleaner is not the best solution perhaps, but its cheap and it can work. Just thought it worth a try. While I am talkiing to you Ryan, I looked under my Z and the sump looks easy to remove so will be doing that as soon as I have finished helping my son with his S13. Where is the best place for big end bearings when I know the spec? Thanks
  12. I know this might bring a lot of comments but if a lifter gets blocked/gooed up it will tap, and a good can of engine flush can help. Dont forget to refil with good oil afterwards and take it easy with it in. I have used it many times and it can work wonders. Keeping head down just in case.
  13. T25 from a R5 £150.00. T3 £175.00 both plus vat. Fully recon inc warranty.... Turbo Developments, London
  14. I dont think they need "bedding in". There is a chance one is faulty I guess? A blocked air filter can cause this but K&N would be OK if clean, and why just one? Unless one tub is below par? Turbo oil return? If this was part blocked the oil feeding the turbo (under pressure) would want to go somewhere, and could cause this. Running out of ideas.
  15. If your turbos are worn they do allow oil into the plenum via the coolers, hence oil in the pipe. Oil leaks past the bearings behind the compressor and into the airways.

With regard to the auto cooler question, its not just motorway use that you have to watch for, its any time you make the box work hard. A steady 70mph on a motorway is not going to work the box at all, hard acceleration/speed etc will. Mine is a 94 spec series 2, and it had a small cooler.
  17. I think I am 47, but I try and forget, or do I just forget anyway? Not sure. Cant seem to remember. Anyway what was I saying????
  18. IF its the oil seal in the pump it is easy to do and the box doesnt need stripping.
  19. If you are talking about 300zx.com stickers I dont have mine yet. Ignore this if I am talking rubbish
  20. A bit unclear as to what your saying as the converter sits INSIDE the bellhousing. But reading between the lines I THINK you mean the seal where the converter fits into the front pump is leaking. If this is the case you need to remove the box & converter, slide the converter out and simply replace the seal. It will be a normal oil seal. Box out its a five min job.
  21. Thanks, what is a " CHRA" ?
