  1. Its my pet project at the mo, but have you thought about injecting water into the engine? I have got a kit and will fit it soon.
  2. Dont worry, its not real you know
  3. But surely there were lots with their heads on upside down, but they were driving TVR's. LOL. I think I see you every so often in town but I am never in my Z when I do. I drive a new Polo, driving school; car, met grey with ABC on the roof. Maybe we can meet again when its warmer etc. Mark
  4. That sounds right, I did not know it was the new fire station. MetaHawk, did I see you at the Crowsnest when about 4-5 of us met, prob '03?
  5. I know you have one now so my comments are a bit late. But someone did a crude but effective test of various "named" kits using a hoover and a white sheet and IIRC some way of testing flow. The Apexi won on flow and filtration. Best of both worlds. Thats why I have Apexi too.
  6. On a Turbo car the turbo can "use" the breather pipes to burn oil, hence a catch tank. IMHO. I dont think my TT has any room for one, and if I did not need one I would not follow the Paxo crowd and fit one. No offence, some people like them just for show.
  7. OK, now I dont know what to do. I dont want to change them that often either. So which ones then, Please
  8. Its true he showed a lack of understanding, and he should say sorry verbally not just by way of some statement if only to shut people up, but give him a break. Its not a big problem until the numbskulls make it so. Not you Gio, but the PC idiots everywhere. They are why this country is in such a state.
  9. Just guessing here, but maybe the converter is jamming, mind you it would make a lot of noise I think..And make lots of metal bits, look in the oil carefully for a metalic look to it. (on the dipstick) Also you could run the revs up, in gear against the brakes, might finish it off but if its that its had it anyway....
  10. I have sent the good news back up the line so all who sent it on will know. Thanks All
  11. Thanks, am I right about the Hicas?
  12. Thanks Baggins, NGK I assume? Are these 60,000 mile jobs?
  13. Thanks for that, I have a nephew going to the states thought I would ask him, but I need the exact type etc.
  14. Hi, this is not a joke, no one knows who this boy is, he is a survivor from the tsunami. Do you know him? This has been sent around a few times, if you can help let me know and I will send it back down the line.
  15. Hi, 93 TT Jap auto, JWT, Apexi, Exhausts, running about 14psi, 1 mm boost jets. What plugs are best? Make and number please. Thanks. PS, mine has no Hicas thingy under the bonnet, but it does have Hicas, I think that makes it electronic Hicas? And 94 model, Yes or no?
  16. Most autos move when you put them in gear if you have your foot off the brake. Are the engine revs too high? As in idle speed. Its the converter that allows the car to remain still when you have it in gear and brake on, as the revs rise the oil is "pushed" harder by fins on the inside of the casing of the converter moving the stator, (prob wrong name) which in turn moves the input shaft etc. Later a clutch takes over but only at above approx 45mph, top gear etc. I am no expert but dont see why an excessively high line presure would give you the problem you have. Other probs yes, but not that one. IMHO of course.
  17. If the image is real the turbo looks like its filling up with oil???? When I say real I mean you didnt squirt some oil in there. Must smoke like crazy.
  18. As Richard said, find out why its uses oil BEFORE you put it back in. You know it makes sanse. Mine uses no oil, ever.
  19. Lets hope the thread is not damaged in the converter, I dont know on a Z but sometimes the converter can not go all the way round until the bolts are most of the way in. If this is the case the thread may have been damaged. If it is a tap/die (can never remember which is which) might be needed to clean the thread before you damage it anymore trying to get the new bolt in.
  20. Durrhhh, sorry I can read, Chalfont.
  21. Hi Richard, no not me, mine is black but clear glass, lowered with 17 split rims. Do you driveyours to work? I have seen a yellow one on Stocklake? I did drive it yesterday but I dont llike the rattle, it goes very quickly as it warms up, a minute or two and its gone. You live local?
  22. Thanks for that Richard, its sort of what I thought..... Paul and Scoops, if you notice my thread I had the oil so thought I would try it. I did not go out and and buy it specially.
  23. Hi, I am looking at the above oil for my Z as it seems to be the Oilmans choice. So what do others think after using it, and where is the best place to get it, and for how much? One Scooby forum did a group buy at 40 pounds for 6 liters, and I have seen it for 35 pounds for 5 liters. I have asked the Oilman for a price via email but have had no reply yet, (I did do it yesterday and I guess he's closed for w/end). I currently run Mobile One 0/40. Only becasue I had it in the garage and thought I would try it but I dont like it, my engine is slightly noisier on Mobile One than before. Any thoughts, views or comments?
