  1. If someone poked around in my face I would bite them too
  2. Many years ago I had an Audi Quatro which I had Superchips fiddle with, yes it had a bleed valve on that sucked air when not boosting. I had to make a one way valve to stop it messing up the engines tune. But even then it ran poorly, it was always backing off the timing when on boost. I then had them do a Saab 900s16v Turbo, again it had some much boost it was dreadful, when I backed the boost off it was far better. Twice bitten third time shy, as they say.
  3. I think Superchips' rep preceeds them, but if its just the rolling road and they dont get to actually touch the cars I cant see any harm. Not that I really want to strap mine onto any rolling road, but might when the time is closer.. David, Jamie might though, and its one more car.....Have you fixed your smoking yet?
  4. OK, thanks, for the link, has anyone done it though? I am very tempted, but I fancy seeing if it can be done with out paying for a whole kit and paying too much for clips and tube etc. Found some pumps for $80.00. Maybe a kit could be made for the forum?????
  5. Anyone here got any sensible views on water injection. There is a 300 in some online mag running 14psi without any chip upgrade and its supposed to be very good. No Detting. Thanks
  6. if you dont mind.....where did that picture come from clarkey?
  7. Actualy its a clutch for third gear, IMHO. Its way too weak for these cars. Hence they often fail. And if you have the ability to strip the box to get the band out, what ever you do, replace the clutch plates as well. And then dont forget to fully drain and then clean out the converter as any contaminated oil will cause probs later. And while your at it, look at the clutch pison seals, as they are cheap and while you there, and also the seals for the servo that applies the band, and etc etc etc.
  8. Do you really want to mix with the sort of people that actually drive them? A lot are only a few steps up from a Max Power Saxo. Having said that I like the car, not the people though, with exceptions of course.
  9. Thats helpfull, I thought we were going somewhere then, thanks for looking. Do those rear boxes look like stainless? Anyone know the make of them? It looks very sad compared to that pic.

  14. Hi, I have asked this before but many months ago, where is the best place to buy a new cam belt, and considering my car has only done 53k miles and the drive belts all look new what else might I consider replacing at the same time. 1993 Series 2 TT.....Thanks.
  15. Its for sale by auction, I was wondering if it had any interesting bits on it. Engine cant be seen as bonnett is jammed shut. At the moment its only £375.00, would break for more, as you can see the trim looks in good condition, theres also the pipes/exhaust, wheels, manual box, (not that I can understand anyone wanting that) ;-).
  16. Two More Pics, G199YBU, Manual
