  1. That might explain it, have you got any photos? Might need to bodge mine
  2. So here’s a question. Im missing some trim and have been putting it back on bit by bit, around the inside of the boot lid are a couple of strips I’ve got but I still feel like I’m missing something and not sure how to attach them. Can anyone help me out here? I’ll put up pictures of what I’ve got but there are still some holes where something else was clearly attached before
  3. I’ve also got my hands on a Mongoose catback exhaust to replace the Japspeed one. I much prefer the quad pipe look and I’ve heard they sound really nice too! It was ok when I got it, had some yellow overspray and was dull but looked in good Nick. Not installed it yet as I need to get a gasket and some new hangers but it has had a good clean up with some light abrasive scourer and some metal polish and has come out amazingly well! Almost too nice to use ?
  4. It’s been a while since I last did anything to the Zed. Have used it a lot over summer and it’s been brilliant. Managed to get some time at a mates house to do some bits now the kids are at school again. nothing major this time but I removed the old air box and filters (which looked a bit worse for wear) and installed a K&N cone filter in its place. The air box weighed way more than I expected! Relatively easy, although getting the bolts out of the air box mounts under the bumper was tricky. And then my mate knocked about 7 bolts down in to the engine bay which we recovered with a magnet! Life saver! Also, put the stickers on the Works wheels, looks better I think, also fitted the clips to the boot lid for the parcel shelf and a microphone to the stereo so I can actually call people now!
  5. Thanks for organising something, I’m working nights that weekend though so will be fast asleep at 10am! Would have loved to join otherwise! hope you get some good weather!
  6. Was it a straight swap mate? I drive the Goodwood FOS in the rain at night through country roads and it was stressful!
  7. Welcome mate! loads of collective knowledge on the OC (not from me, I’m learning off everyone else!!) any more photos??
  8. Think I’ve sorted work so count me in Rich, the car can be there all 4 days and I’ll attend on the Sunday so can help out if needed then as well. I can’t do anymore I’m afraid as I’ve got 3 young kids and I’m not sure missus’ would be very happy if I sloped off for 4 days to look at cars! ?
  9. Shouldn’t be a problem getting my car uP on the Thursday either way and it can stay all weekend.
  10. Im trying to get the Thursday off work, and am free all weekend so happy to exhibit my car. Would be amazing!
  11. Funkysi that was epic mate. Thanks And thanks to others as well! I’ve got a modern garage but it’s not insulated or attached to the house. I’ve got weather stripping on the bottom of the door to keep out some of the rain I noticed that was coming in after bad weather. And the floor is painted, whether that actually makes any difference to anything! ? how often, per month, would be a good amount to drive it instead? If my garage isn’t great for storage I’m thinking I keep it taxed and then just take it out for a spin when it’s dry instead?
  12. Why’s shouldn’t it be left idling mate?
  13. Now the weather is turning the cars getting bedded down for the winter (until the sun comes out on a dry day and I can’t resist taking it for a spin!) What advice do people have for this? Im going to buy a trickle charger and plan on starting it up every few weeks. Will probably drive it out on the drive and then back in just to keep the tyres turning.
  14. Received! Think it’ll look great on a black car. I take it that it’s just glued on with the two used to line it up right?
  15. Thanks Richard! Let me know if you need anything, can I cover postage for you?
  16. Hiya, this still available? I’ve been looking for a red one!

  18. I might try and get over for this, it’s 2 hours drive so a good excuse for a run out!
  19. I’m away with friends this weekend, I’ve put in the diary on the off chance they cancel and I can attend!!
  20. Cheers man, it had a 60k service recently so belts were done. how much of a bugger we talking about?
  21. Afternoon legends, So I’m not overly technically minded but I’m trying to learn! I have an issue with my fan on start up. I start the car and I get 2-4 seconds of light belt squeak which stops the second the fan kicks in. As far as I’m aware, the fan should kick in immediately on start up, right? I want to have a go at fixing myself so looking for advice on what the cause is and how to fix cheers PFA
  22. Got her back from the bodyshop today. I had the old Bomex rear wing removed, some welding done on the boot lid (rear wiper hole closed up) and had a new Twinz Design Wing 3 installed. The wing I took off was not really my style, also blocked the view out the back pretty comprehensively, and I believe the new one compliments the lines of the Zed much more. Turns out the boot had 9 layers of paint on it!! I used TP Smart Repairs in Aylesbury as they have a good reputation and Tommy did a fantastic job. It looks excellent, is like an OEM+ look and will be much easier to clean
  23. Yeah me neither, I’ve bought a ticket though so I’m definitely going
  24. Yeah I put Nismo in brackets, that’s what Z1 sell it as though. Yeah I’ve already spoken to that bloke and will offer it to him when it’s off the car
