  1. Happy Birthday Jimmer!
  2. Yeah I’ve gotta say I’m a big fan of all this, international mods would be a great idea. Building up a big network of people will be really helpful for parts and advice and help bring new people to the cars. The competition is cool as well, although I don’t have any high quality photos of my car!
  3. Thanks mate, I ordered them all except for the IACV!! Bugger
  4. Hi All, Another one for the calendar! This is an annual car meet up local to me, its just north of Aylesbury, Bucks. I went in 2022 and it was really good! Loads of cars of all different types and backgrounds and loads of other things to do! I was wondering if the club would be interested in entering a 300zx OC stand and getting a load of cars together? Could be a great chance to advertise the club and the cars! Either way, I will be entering my Zed for the show so the more the merrier! Thoughts?
  5. I am removing my plenum and swapping it our with a replacement one. Obviously I need the plenum gasket, and balance bar O rings but what other gaskets and other bits will I need? I assume the throttle bodies have gaskets? Are there any others for any of the other bits going on?
  6. Thanks mate, I’m not really considering pushing for a power increase, even if I did it wouldn’t be by much. I’ve got a dodgy injector and just want to upgrade them to the series 2 ones for better reliability really while the plenum is off. So I can use an adapter kit on the existing rail for the new injectors and then connector adapters too? I would like to fit a new loom but it’s expensive so just getting it back on the road at the moment.
  7. As the cars going to be having a new plenum, and I think has an injector fault, I’ve been thinking about upgrading the injectors to the series 2 ones for reliability. I know I need a new fuel rail to accommodate these, has anyone done this recently? are my only options the ones from USA or are there any in the UK? Does anyone have one kicking around that they’d sell? thanks
  8. A few more photos for me (Including my Legacy!) and my favourite was the Evo Pajero towing an Evo 6 TME!!
  9. Lovely engine bay that ?
  10. I would love to but I’m away on holiday sadly!
  11. New problem! While putting the balance tube back on after swapping coil packs etc, the two screws that hold the passenger side on have both dethreaded the inside of the plenum. ?‍♂️
  12. To try and solve the problem with cylinder 5 I’ve done the following: 1. Swap the ignition pack with cylinder 1. Didn’t fix it. 2. Cleaned the connectors on the PTU. Didn’t fix it. 3. Swapped the spark plug with cylinder 1. Didn’t fix it. The cylinder will fire on a cold start for the first 30-60 seconds before it stops so I feel like the injector is ok as it’s obviously working then. I’ve read about all the Series 1 PTU’s failing so I’m going to upgrade it to a series 2 and see if that helps! It’s been relocated at some point in its life and the wiring looks ropey so that will probably need doing as well.
  13. Thanks Jay!
  14. And you’ve done a bloody good job mate as well. I followed your build on Facebook and it was great to see!
  15. It’s definitely not the coil pack. I swapped it with the pack from Cylinder 1 and the misfire continued on cylinder 5. Oddly, when I first started the car from cold (and a dead battery) it ran on all 6 for about 30-60 seconds. The PTU is a series 1 and has been relocated behind the passenger headlight and has a lot of electrical tape wrapped around the wiring. I think my next step is to carefully unwrap the tape, check the wiring and all the connections too. Any other advice would be welcome
  16. Welcome to the Forum Fraser. Big fan of the rear wing! ???
  17. This is looking good then getting a few of the group together!
  18. I’ll be there but sadly my Zed won’t be as it’s poorly. I’ll be representing Japan though in my Subaru Legacy WR Ltd. looking forward to seeing you all there
  19. That’s all a bit weird, what would be the point?
  20. I think something needs to change. I agree with streamlining bits on here, there is a lot of irrelevant stuff now that most people use social media so much more. It should be just about the cars. I do think that some of the threads where no one’s posted for years is off putting for new members, if someone comes to look at the website to see whether it’s worth joining and no one has discussed a meet up in their area for 3 years then they probably won’t join. A regional grouping may be the way to go. I’d be happy to travel quite far for a meet up if the numbers were good.
  21. Welcome mate, car looks good, I love Midnight Purple!
  22. I don’t know for sure but think it’s advance only. I’ve not been there before
