  1. Today I got hold of this rather tidy steering wheel. Mine is flaking and in a sorry state and needs recovering. I nearly tore RichardS’s arm off when he said he was selling his old (refurbed) one! Not fitted it yet but will soon, thanks Rich
  2. Why would that have just started do you think mate? Anyway I can find out for sure?
  3. Mine has been in garage for wheel balancing as had vibration (felt from rear) at 50-60mph and a lot of road noise. Three needed doing, one was quite bad apparently and the road noise is much better but still getting vibration.
  4. Still attending if anyone’s about. Four turned up last year
  5. When I got the car, I only had the valet key. So I bought a new black master key from Amayama (£12) and really wanted the titanium one. Found a company in the states that make replica’s and can cut them from a photo. 😬 Wasnt sure about this but someone else on the forum used them without issue. It arrived today, looks the business, and does work on the car. It’s a little stiff in the drivers door lock but will hopefully losses up a bit. Cost £76 all in for cutting and shipping so thought it was worth a go! if you’ve got the key code then they can do it from that
  6. Got on the interior last week and fitted my ZSpec double din stereo fascia to replace the butchered one that was already in it. Turned out to be a bit of a ballache of a job in the end, only because it was difficult setting my JVC stereo up at the correct height etc. Anyway, so the kit I bought was really good, really well packaged with crystal clear instruction cards written for dummies (fortunately for me). It came with its own mounts for the stereo too and is mainly setup for Kenwood or Pioneer as they seem to be the top main brands in the states. I ended up test fitting a number of times and having to modify the mounting brackets to get it to fit but the difference it makes in the car is really noticeable. Sounds weird as the single din fascia isn’t all that different (after butchery) but having a proper setup it streaks ahead. The stereo also sits at more of a 90 degree angle than the old one as well, so I get a lot less glare on the screen now.
  7. Turns out he was wrong! I took the key back, asked him to cut it anyway despite his protestations and it only bloody works! So there you, you can get a main key cut from the valet 👍
  8. Hey guys, Torqen (LU7 9GW) are have a JDM meet up again this summer where they have loads of different JDM cars and food and stuff. It’s round the corner from my house so I’m going. I believe it’s first come first served for parking but last year there were 4 Z32’s there which was good! any interest?
  9. Welcome to the club mate, cool looking car! The flared rear on the SWB make it look muscley
  10. I’m just going on what society seems to want to tell us! im sure you’re an expert on onions and all their variety! 😂
  11. Ah man that’s annoying! Our local guy is really good, it’s only a little shop in our small town but he’s got a YouTube channel with 270,000 subscribers, so he knows his onions! And keys.
  12. That’s my plan! Did you send them a photo of your key then? What was the postage like to UK?
  13. I’ve only got the red spare key with the car so I ordered a new 300zx black master from Amayama (KEY0000095). Took it to my local key cutter and it’s the wrong key apparently! It does look slightly different to be fair. So first question, are there more than one master key? Does anyone know the part number? Mines a 1993 JDM. And the the one above is available if anyone wants, it cost me about £13 so happy to sell for that plus postage. Second question, I’m also going to order a nice titanium one and would like to get it cut off the original spec, research shows that a sticker in the glovebox has the code, mine has long gone, but my red key has a 4 digit code engraved on it. Can anyone confirm if this is the code?
  14. Did you get a ticket in the end?
  15. Evening Gents, Did we get a 4th for this event? Looking forward to it! What time are you guys getting there? I had an email a couple of days ago about it
  16. Today I looked at mine in the garage while getting the kids scooters out before going to the park! I am definitely taking it out next week! Rich, I really like your interior, one day I am determined to get mine fully redone in Alcantara
  17. Thanks Lexx, it’s was only chatting to Rich that I realised there were different series. Thought it would be useful info for people to have!
  18. Evening, does anyone have information on the different series of Z32 that were released over its lifetime and what the differences were between the series?
  19. I’ll be attending the AGM on the Sunday! Im at my sisters wedding on the Saturday so probably not overly early!
  20. Looking forward to seeing how you get on. Theres a few guys who sell second hand bits on the Facebook group, a guy called Ifti, and a breaker called Paul Clements (Banzai Breakers) who runs on eBay. Zcentre is uk based and has a decent amount of bits and then I’ve bought a few parts from CZP and from Z1 (both USA). Then there Amayama which does OEM from Japan, I’ve used them and it was very good, got some brand new headlight rubber surrounds and other random clips and stuff at a good price
  21. I did mine, found out it was owned by a bloke doing his PHD about metallurgy and he was restoring it! Im going to reach out to him on LinkedIn and see if he can give me some history
  22. Hi Graeme, welcome back! Looking forward to seeing some pictures
  23. How easy is the front seat removal? Wanna do it so I can properly wet vax all the interior. Was only 4 bolts per seat in my old MX5, easy as pie!
  24. I just bought some generic eBay specials mate and they seemed to do the job ok! Time will tell how long they last but no rattles or knocking, and more importantly, complaints from my mechanic when we had to remove it the other day for access to the Hicas! I posted photos when I did mine on my members post about my car on this forum if it’s of any use?
  25. Probably worth getting some new exhaust hangers as well mate, the old ones may have perished over time. I did mine a few months ago and only used gaskets and hangers. It was degraded to hell though so need some cutting and redrilling for new bolts
