  1. Alan get some deatschwerks ones, ditched my venom ones years ago and guess what ? my car now passes the mot emission test properly now and doesnt leak fuel from the rail constantly.I rate them and have fitted quite a few sets for people now with no complaints.
  2. You wont clear that probaly, thats pure heat overcoming the engines cooling system and cooking the coolant in the pipe after the engine is turned off.Id look at why the engines running so hot to cause that.
  3. Rs 1600 is uber cool.Worth far more than any zed and always will be.Its an icon from the early 80,s and will only ever go up in value now :cool3:
  4. Mines grey but it isnt that one matey,i wish it was :gunsmilie:
  5. Its a 38k car when new,a hundred quid is a drop in the ocean really, its only slightly more than a tank of fuel
  6. Use a 14mm midget spanner.Gets on the nut a treat :gun_bandana:
  7. The only safe way to tell is get it on a dyno and get them to check the afr at 14psi.Jap chips run aggressive timing maps as they use higher octane fuel than the uk.
  8. I drove loads of zeds with short shifters and never liked at all.good man for taking it off.Box munchers i reckon. The zed,s shift is designed to work with the stock stick and knob.Thats why the knob is so heavy, its weighted for a reason. All short shifters do is reduce the travel on the gearstick which is hardly a long change anyway on a zed.
  9. You have a stock 95 rear subframe matey with electric hicas as it should be.
  10. I wasnt that impressed with Hayle kebab house, the mega kebab wouldnt fill up my 11 year old daughter !! was crap for £6 I did like the Balti king though and the Watermill pub  I love Hayle and its beaches, you guys are lucky to live somewhere so picturesque.
  11. I dont know how bud but you have the fuel rails on back to front, that swan neck should be on the drivers side as it goes into the fuel damper.Great stuff for getting the engine in though.:gunsmilie:
  12. Yeh matey i didnt want to mention the "stripe" as i didnt want to offend its owner if hes a user of these pages.tis a shame cus the stripe looks pants.
  13. Yes mate its an advisory item"slight engine oil leak" its worded as iirc.been a couple of years since i tested now :wheelchair:
  14. Just returned from St Ives and kept seeing a red zed J plate in Hayle,it was usually parked outside a pub, anybodies on here ?
  15. The jwt sport 500 is a great turbo and capable of maxin out the fuelling capacities of stock injectors.the gt525,s are a bit more laggy as its impeller is much larger, but it will give you a bigger kick in the arse higher up the rev range.ive just imported $5500 of z1 parts and the import charges were £370.so your tubs will cost around £180 ish id expect.
  16. I Tap them out from underneath once the manifold is off with a parrallel punch.make sure you refit it with a bit of sealer to avoid any leaks.drive it fully home using the collar.if its not fully in the block your oil reading will be incorrect.
  17. Im a silverfox too mate, better that than bald eh.its women that cause it for sure though :hammer:
  18. Anyone seen the Akebono 370z brake upgrade for the 300zx ?,z1 sell it.Absolute bargain for a 14" disc and genuine Nissan 370 caliper set up.
  19. 32 !! jesus your village paper round must have been huge bud :whistling:
  20. What about some house special real ales like Knob gobbler,Tangle Knob,or a cider maybe Strongknob. Some phallus beer pump levers perhaps.Or maybe a House special Hot Dog,the 12" knob special "eyewateringly good" Come on peeps knob/pub gags please.
  21. That wouldnt cause the issue you had,id still say its a crank bearing relationship issue.if it was contamination id expect for maybe a couple of bearings to have worn but for all of them summit is seriously wrong.I wouldnt put a set of bearings in until you establish exactly what went wrong or youll just waste your money.
  22. Could be a number of things, crank grind may not be done to a high standard, bearings may be wrong ? if all the bearings are on the copper its one of the aforementioned.Did you clean out the engine oil cooler ? how much did the machine shop remove ? what undersize bearing did you get ?
  23. If it cracks right the way through then potentially the threaded part could pull out of the arm,i wouldnt drive it tbh mate :sweatdrop:
  24. Has does your fast fit garage check run out on discs then without a dti gauge and mag mount ?
  25. doh yeh my badself  fulcrum point is moved upwards.
