  1. You can buy them on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-CRYSTAL-CLEAR-STYLE-INDICATORS_W0QQitemZ330171893505QQihZ014QQcategoryZ14763QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Brilliant as can add another set of side lights. put LEDs in both sides and flashers, you can buy the the side light bulb holders on ebay too.
  2. by 4th you mean o/drive. does it respond to you switching the o/d button on the lever off and on. Does it go into lock up when in 4th also do you still get engine braking? You can do a self diagnostic check on the gbox ecu, power light flashes response. Usually if you are getting problem with autobox the power light flashes 16 times when you first swithch on.
  3. First check that other bulbs on the circuit are working! Next, each splice only connects 2 wires at a time not 4 or do you mean 4 in total. Have you defo connected the earth to feed? the zed wire sleeves are very thick and the splice clamps do not cut through them very well, I had to take splice apart and cut sleeve to expose wire then reconnected using splice. Bit of a pain but that works.
  4. Have you checked fluid level?
  5. could be drain tube from targa channel; that runs down the A pillar and exits below floor; sometimes splits and you get water inside in extreme conditions. I had this on drivers side, unfortunately just above fuse box, so had some shorting probs.
  6. Like any car: lots of low gear work small mpg; High revs high speed low mpg. I find keeping it under 3.5k revs gives ok mpg.but never much more 30. 15 in town.
  7. Work ok on the front with the new type clear lens!
  8. Only prob with amber led indicators, as I found out when put them on the front, is the fast flash syndrome ( 3w as against 21w ), so you have to add a ballast load, sell these on Fleabay for £5.
  9. Anybody going to this at Thruxton?
  10. I was going to suggest a soft reset, but they would of disconnected battery when gbox changed!
  11. Could be discs, are they drilled?, grooved ?, prone to distort slightly. but normally only apparent under heavy braking!
  12. Interesting all this and a bit esoteric!! Castor just affects response and feel, hardly noticable unless you do direct comparisons, car for car etc. and as you say changes on loading braking etc. Slight toe out gives better better stability in a straight line and and the expense of turn in response. Neg camber gives better tyre contact on cornering and general handling response at the possible expense of wear on inners edge. some tyres compensate for this by having a harder edge compound such as Falkens. So you pays your money and takes your choice. I like NEG camber; running 2.5 degrees front and rear on Falkens without too much scrub on inners. also lowered so really corners well, I think anyway.
  13. Speed sensor thing is on end of gearbox, best just to replace it. Temp sensor is on top behind rad, usually yellow, next to sensor for for gauge.
  14. Speed sensor on box? or could just be temp sensor prob. clean contacts. etc. simple stuff first!
  15. Bruce, agree with Shelton, process of elimination I think. I had similar prob for a while, not as bad as you descibe, at 70-80, was wheel balance. some places just cant get right down here, got them done at protyre in Bristol in the end,all supersmooth now.
  16. You could get Cornwall and Devon and transmiisions to look at it, in St.Austel somewhere Pentawan Road I think. Had them recommended to me. Used DJ trans. in Falouth/plymouth in the end.
  17. Did you change centre beraing on shaft, when you changed prop. thats what usually causes the pob.
  18. Could be that yellow temp sensor again! Clean terminals: simple things first!
  19. Chris, thanks for notice, is this an upgrade of the Kernow kruzz?! scene then. for only modified jap cars? not all zeds have mods! its hard enough getting zeds to meet locally, so wish you luck and will keep an eye on your site when its up and running? stalled when i tried it!
  20. The problem is that the SW area is large! Penzance to Gloucester. I think that meetings should remain ad hoc and be as many as possible ( not everybody is going to make them all anyway due to commitments, broken cars etc.) People will go to them near or far and if the mood takes them. However there may be a case for having regular regional meets every 3 or 4 months in a largish areas, such as Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol, in rotation. Any thoughts!
  21. If you can do centre of Plymounth to cetre of Bristol in 1hr 30 I take my hat of to you! takes me 18/20min. just to get from jct 19 to the centre, and I did that for 8 years. We did Exeter a few weeks ago.
  22. Not right! redruth - plymouth A30, A38 1hr 20min. 61miles no traffic now. plymouth - Bristol A38, M5 2hrs 120 miles twice the distance!
  23. Try AndyZ at supercarparts, on traders forum, good for bits
  24. Too far just for a spin and meet, wanted to keep it local!
