  7. Try AndyZ at supercarparts on traders section.
  8. Possibly water on electrics, check fuse box by drivers well, had a leak there myself after heavy rain, due to split in tube drain from targa top that runs down the A pillar!
  9. Temp sensor in housing above head drawn in by fan as you say; Plus sun sensor on dash. Should all be the same!
  10. Try soft reset on ecu, disconnect battery for a few hours. Then try diagnostic check on box. does your power light flash 16 times when switch on? means a fault has been detected.

If you decide on a Plymouth meet, suggest you start a new thread to get more of our DEEP south guys interested, as only a short hop for us and I am sure lots would be very interested. I say this, as have not been monitoring this thread until today!
  14. No prob at night as dipped HID lights stay ON when you use mains, as earthed.

Gear box designed for o/d to be engaged all the time i.e. ON. for all normal driving situations. swithch it off for reasons, such as gear hunting on twisty roads etc.
  17. I thought about the relay method as had a spare relay lying about, but just could not bring myself to stsrt disconnecting wires and trying attach into the fuse boxes! I was chicken, just in case something went wrong. Zed wiring is not the most stable. So going to stick to the Earth method, How often do you flash your lights in daylight anyway?
  18. Try andy at supercarparts may have 2nd hand one.
  19. :duffer: Yeah, have a Good one Jon. Not that you need any encouragement. Must have a meet soon. Off to BTCC on Sunday to see some car action!
  20. If you want to break the gearbox: rev to about 2k with foot on brake then plant it and let off brake. also going thro box with selector will gaurantee max revs in each gear: but gbox wont last long! As engine VVtec (Variable valve timing) power take off is not till after abvout 4K.
  21. Get Falken 452 from a falken stockist, for best price! good tyre cheaper than toyos
  22. Power pack connectors loose or dirty, clean and reset. or PTU?
  23. raydetinu replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - 300ZX Related
Defo, leave it on. useful to switch off sometimes on twisty roads to stop it going up and back down all the time when driving fast. also useful to get a bit of extra engine braking going down hill when off.
  24. Cat overheat light! unburnt fuel reaching cat, have you got a misfire?
  25. OOPS! quite right, for earlier mod!
