  1. Need to do tests as suggested, also could be speed sensor on box, but I doubt it.
  2. Not sure if we a have a meet or not now?! Shelton are you going on Sunday or sat or both? I spoke to few guys in Penzance last w/end and they were going, new all about it. All be it not Zeds: Supra, R33 and an Integra?
  3. Investors only get 100% of first £2000, then 90% upto £35k, after that. the remainder if your lucky. I would take mine out if I had Any and spread it around. only 2k gauranteed! They still have to pay Bof E back at some point!
  4. Was it a 'new' box, rebuilt or second hand used. bet it dont go inti od top either. could be wiring fault as the harness gets brittle etc. broken wire is my bet? if box known to be good before. could be ecu? but doubt it. do below first. you need to get a pin test done on all the wires and connectors. do thst first before changing box again. do you get error code flashing on power light when you switch on, 16 I think. if so then you can do auto diaognostic check. by moving g lever. See http://www.300zx.org.uk/ site for how to do this. best of luck
  5. That yellow temp sensor again? try cleaning contacts. Simple stuff first!
  6. Fuses either under bonnet on near side or in drivers well?
  7. Is it an import? if so, side lights and front fogs in same housing. so when you switch fogs on lights get brighter. Check main beam bulbs, may have gone. simple things first! if not check main beam fuses, under bonnet on left side, dipped and other light fuses in drivers well on side.
  8. PC again! what happend to free speech etc. people should be allowed prefferences that are not necessarilly prejudices. some will always take offence to anything, however rudeness is not acceptable.
  9. Shouldnt need much change as bulb rougly in same place. Put them as high as possible until people flash you!!! :D
  10. My guess is fuse gone or water damage to fuse box in footwell: the drain from the targa roof runs down there and sometimes leaks. I had this prob afew years ago.
  11. Paypal is instant generally, also some people say they are going to pay by paypal and then send an e-cheque which takes 10 days to clear. Also dont send item until you have money in your account!
  12. If all you have got is noisy lifters, try some lifter lube from harry,s about six quid; worked on mine. Sounded like a sewing machine on start up, but after putting tha in and ran it for few hundred went away. does come back now and again but only lasts a minutes.
  13. No! you have two wires going to the bulb, the unit is connected between them: i.e. one end of unit to one wire and the other end on the second wire, so you are connecting the bulb wires together via the unit. trust thats clearer. when you use the clamps you may have to be persistant in clamping them together to pierce the sleeving.
  14. Sorry Dave all done and back together working AOK normal flash time. Easier than I thought, just splice one end to one bulb wire and splice the other on to the other, so the unit bridges between the feed wires to the bulb. Only thing to wathch is to make sure the splice clamp thing actually cuts the plastic covering to the wire, had use big pliers to split the covering to make contact but easy enough. Hope this helps, you cant short anything out, just like adding another bulb!
  15. Paul, I need lots of bits, if I gave you a list can you send them as well! :D :D
  16. What he said. got mine now so going to fit tonite.
  17. Jon, found these on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-300zx-300-zx-Z32-POWER-STEERING-PUMP_W0QQitemZ190148997973QQihZ009QQcategoryZ10402QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Or try Andy http://www.supercarparts.co.uk/
  18. Jon, try AndyZ on traders forum usually got this type of thing or maybe local hydraulic hose specialist, who could make one?( yellow pages ) No need for weight training then!
  19. Dave-O I have not got mine yet, but should be easy enough though. As it says you have a splice connector which you splice on to the main wire and just run the other wire to earth somewere. you can locate the unit with double sided tape so it does not flop about or use screw hole. Should be easier than the HID converstion ive just done.
  20. I tried Maplin first, they didnt know what I was talking about?!!
  21. Update on my fast indicators, found out that you can buy ballasts for this very problem. so if any body is thinking of changing to LED indicator bulbs you need these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOAD-RESISTOR-4-LED-indicator-stop-tail-light-bulbs_W0QQitemZ140153359184QQihZ004QQcategoryZ72233QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
  22. No contest Lisa, thsi is cornwall and you can burn your own rubber!
  23. Nope UK cars have no front Fogs, thats where indicators are, and indicator slot is blanked!
  24. This sounds great, bound to get a lot of takers Shelton. I can put af ew people up as well, ratling around in 4 bed house on my own, now wife gone. Have two GSD's and a Parrot for company though! Attending will be: Shelton Mickeybigzed Ray
