1. Started by Baz,

Now my Z is all up and running I need to think about making it look better lol. So I already have the wheels in mind - Rota Grid Drifts. Its having the bodywork sorted in a few weeks time to get rid of the rust patches on the arches, so I have 3 colours in mind, what do you think? I'd be happy with either, but want feedback, as one may be an acquired taste lol. ;) So - as it stands at the mo (check out the multicolour reds :headvswal ) What I propose: Olive Drab Black White Any thoughts? :hyper:

  4. Started by z31youngr300zx,

I thought head gasket was gone on my z31 a few weeks back, water pissing out the side of the engine...it was running fine and got me home, I started it up a few weeks later and let it idle for a while, no water coming out but it did start to misfire by this point. Started it up last night and took it to garage without any drama except this misfire. Mechanic phoned me today and said he found a split hose (possible that the hose was water off the engine and when I looked at it in the dark that first night it looked like it was right out of the engine) and replaced that before doing a pressure test which came back fine. Then a sniffer test - all OK so no head gask…

today whilst stood still on idle my speedo went up to 100mph wobbled a bit and then went back down, if i pressed the horn it did it again and a bong noise came from inside the car as it did it what the hell is this lol

  11. Started by dublove,

Yup another buzzing sound problem :( High pitched buzzing noise, if I stick my head under the rear bumper sounds like it is coming from inside the fuel tank or up and behind it. Hard to tell exactly with the exhaust noise going on. Does it sound like the fuel pump could be at fault? Forgot to add that i can hear it inside the cabin if I concentrate - when pulling away.

Has anyone bought the OEM Clutch kit from Z center, and if so is it any good? im thinking of doing the clutch while the engine is out ready for the new one, might as well get as much done as possible, also will these break pads fit my ride? Its a 1991 jap import N/A, i know the're cheap, but i just need something to pass me buy till the beginning of next year.

As usual was in a favorite haunt of a pharmacy talking to the staff in there... To my ears came a very familiar sound - a 300zx starter motor! Couldnt seem much of you as you drove away apart from a very nice looking dark blue car, im sure it was automatic and had some fabulous alloys!

ok not really sure what these are but basically looks like 2 sensors that are hanging down underneath the car. for the exhaust? they about inline with the doors underneath 1 on each side. what are they? where should they be? and what would the effect be of them not being there? i know its a little vague any help will be appreciated

Ive had the zed for a few months now, and its been in the family for a good few years. Never even hinted at a problem before, been perfect in every way... Then today out of the blue at 60 theres a bang and some horrible crunching sound and loss of power. Seems like overdrive is completely gone as is reverse... and 1st and 2nd make the crunching noise :( Looks like its not going anywhere in a hurry now, what are my options??

Hi Again, I was poking around looking through the windows of some of the cars outside Jeff's at Zedworld and noticed that several of the cars had what appeared to be a headlight beam level control. Is this a retrofit item or a new fitting? Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit it to a JDM '92 TT LWB or does anyone make a control unit that does the same thing? I am guessing I would need to change the headlights too. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance

  18. Hi Chaps, Now that I'm fully subscribed, hopefully I can post this without it getting moderated! I currently have a Momo steering wheel in my car but would like to swap it for an OEM NA wheel. Please note that it must be one without the cruise control as apparantly some parts of the boss and fittings are different. Anyone interested in a swap or have an NA wheel to sell? My wheel is shown below. Thanks.

Any help would be much appreciated Cheers in advance - Cyrus

Hey anyone ahd the same problem as me. Ive got a HKS type 1 turbo timer and the mph reading is off by about half when im doing 60 it says im doin about 30. Also the RPM reading is high by about 500 compared to the rpm reading on the standard gauge. The signal wires are connected into the wires at the ECU and its all the correct wires. Not sure if a simple bad connection might cause this any views?? Marty

Hi guy's. I have decided to get my dodgy speedo repaired whilst my car is off the road. Basically sometimes the speedo reads 0 whilst going along so I have been driving it around for the last year it was on the road with the top cowling off because sometimes when you press the LH connector in at the back the needle shoots into life. This says to me that the sender in the gearbox is good. Also the low fuel warning light has never worked. Not sure if it's all connected. There doesn't seem to be any provision for this at the back. I have tried another speedo cluster in the car and, sure enough all works perfectly including the low fuel warning. I'm a little s…

Put HID conversion on the car and main beam doesnt work now and thinking about the earth is onto the light and not the bulb for the dipped beam so im pretty sure the main beam uses that same earth that i have disconnected. Can someone just confirm this for me cheers Marty
