I have still had trouble with the car running which has been very frustrating :headvswal Basically up yo 3500 revs the car reall struggled and then once the turbo spooled up it went well but it was very hard to get to that point. The worry was a chip wasn't going to work and I would need stand alone management which although a long term plan is out of my budget at the moment. Whilst working on the car to address the overheating issue I had the airfilter off for more room when working, ran the car up to temp to check on the heat issue but while moving about the car I was surprised at the force of suction into the inlet. Originally I had two smaller cotton gauze filters for…

Can someone please post a photo as above. My targas keep leaking. Despite loads of suggestions on here with possible fixes they still pxxs in when it rains. I'm wondering if at some point in the past the 'A' pillar covers & the trim that the targa 'bolts' go into have been removed & not put back correctly. A photo would help me to eliminate that possibility. thanks in advance!

Right, waiting on a engine crane being delivered, and would like to know if i take out the A/C pump and leave it off will this affect anything else apart from weight and the obvious fact i wont have A/C, will it effect the heating for winter in anyway? also what else can i safely remove that's not necessary as a weight saving exercise? while i have the new engine here.

Hi, Couple of weeks ago I did a test overlay on the small scuttle piece below the windscreen today - I must emphasize that this was a damaged piece of Carbon Fibre Twill - in fact the last bit off of a roll - and it was stuck to the cardboard role and had been therefore stretched out of line so anyway... First I rubbed it over with some 60 and eventually sprayed it black. Then did the usual layer of resin - waited for it go super tacky - and placed the CF over the piece and pressed it in all those important likkle places ;-)) After about 20 mins I poured a floodcoat of surfboard resin over and left it to dry in my workshop oven. When cured I trim…

Hey folks just been looking at Z cantre`s selection of rear lights and i know there is difference of opinons on here so just wanted to find out which is the most popular. Im quite keen on changing things completely so im not sold on 99 spec rears however with the 300zx lit up this could look quite stylish. Marty http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=21_22_41

For anyone who has is thinking of doing a plenum water bypass or just wondered what it look like, take a look at the photo's below, its an old engine from a breaker but had previously been done, I have highlighted the new pipes with red lines. The advantages of doing this is to remove unnecessary pipe work that can fail, and replacing required pipe work with new which is good for future breakdown prevention. Jeff TT

The guy who was kindly going to lend me a engine crane, now cant do it due to buggering the hydraulics up on it, so im now in need of a crane to hoist this damn engine out of the car and put the new engine in. Is there anyone near Wellingborough in Northampton that could kindly lend me one for a day, just to do a engine swap. I would rent one but by the time I've done that i may as well of bought the damn thing, but as much as id love my own, i need the rest of me cash just in case i need to get anything mid swap that i haven't thought of yet. Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.

OK I have my modified lower plenum back now -and ready to fit - is it possible to remove the lower plenum by just de-tensioning/clamping the timing belt, removing the upper/middle idle pully - and then wiggling the lower plenum idle pully shaft out of the timing belt back cover hole carefully backwards? Or do I need to strip right back, remove cam sprockets, rear belt covers etc? (yes I already have the plenum off etc etc etc.):rofl: I have no EGR to get in the way so...

Does anybody know the best way to get rid of stonechips in the paintwork (without a respray) - I seem to have shedloads on my bonnet and they really spoil the party - especially when you spend sooo long cleaning and polishing and they just show up even more. Any tips guys and gals?
