I have just had a moment of madness and bought a set of Cobra Misano's. Problem is i haven't thought about fitting issues until having a quick search through the forum! Anyway, i am now aware that i will need to do something to the subframe to fit them. I have a spare set of electric seats and wondered how easy it would be to remove the subframes from them and get them fitted to the new seats? Is it a relatively straight forward job for an engineering company to make the necessary modifications or will i need specific subframes?

My car is a series 1, I have read a little info with regards to changes from the model years, and I have been wondering if Series 2 dash pods would be compatible with series 1 wiring e.t.c The reason I ask is due to the airflow direction option and apparently the settings stay stored when you turn the engine off/on, unlike the series 1. Can anyone tell me any info on this please. OR if it is possible to make a series 1 store which settings you had the heater/fan settings on. Thanks! :)

Hi all, Got my car up on stands & the wheel off to see if there's anything amiss with the suspension as there's a loud creaking noise when I go over a bump in the road, however, as nothing's hanging off or obviously broken/snapped I have no idea what could be causing it. Could anyone suggest which bits I should be checking or what I should be looking for? There's another issue in another thread I started which means I may also need to check the engine mounts. Could these be the cause of the creaking? Again, how to I check these? Sorry if I seem dense, but I have very little mechanical knowledge when it comes to cars. Cheers, Brian

Ok once again my car is back on my drive on axle stands seems to be something that happens weekly. This time i have a knocking noise from my engine. Quick histroy with this i upped the boost preasure too 15psi. I took it for a spin and ohh man it was great. I pulled up in a bus stop and notice a slight noise turned engine off and on and it was gone. I started the drive back home and the noise was getting worse, pulled up again and its coming from the right side of the engine. I looked at the oil preasure gauge and its at 0 then it went back up slightly and it dosnt get passed the first positive line, even when driving. Any ideas here guys i really cant afford a …

Hi everyone. Need a little advice on the best way of fitting an engine and wiring harness. I've almost finished building my TT engine and is getting ready for dropping in the hole. I was wondering if it's easier to fit the new harness to the car or engine first? The inside of the car is completely stripped so there's no heater matrix or dashboard in the way. Any help is greatly appreciated. Stuart

Hi, Just thought I would post this as it has been a bit of a pain to get the right fittings together. basically I wanted to convert the fuel supply and return lines to AN fittings so that my entire fuel set up is solid. The fiittings I used (and there may be others) are an 5/16" to -5JIC hardline connector, which then accepts -8JIC x 1/2"UNF adapter - looks like this: And bunged to keep the crap out... It was only about £13.00 for all of the above. ;) Hop ethis helps someone else save some time and money ;-))

I have still had trouble with the car running which has been very frustrating :headvswal Basically up yo 3500 revs the car reall struggled and then once the turbo spooled up it went well but it was very hard to get to that point. The worry was a chip wasn't going to work and I would need stand alone management which although a long term plan is out of my budget at the moment. Whilst working on the car to address the overheating issue I had the airfilter off for more room when working, ran the car up to temp to check on the heat issue but while moving about the car I was surprised at the force of suction into the inlet. Originally I had two smaller cotton gauze filters for…

Can someone please post a photo as above. My targas keep leaking. Despite loads of suggestions on here with possible fixes they still pxxs in when it rains. I'm wondering if at some point in the past the 'A' pillar covers & the trim that the targa 'bolts' go into have been removed & not put back correctly. A photo would help me to eliminate that possibility. thanks in advance!

Right, waiting on a engine crane being delivered, and would like to know if i take out the A/C pump and leave it off will this affect anything else apart from weight and the obvious fact i wont have A/C, will it effect the heating for winter in anyway? also what else can i safely remove that's not necessary as a weight saving exercise? while i have the new engine here.
