Hi, Had the Zed MOT'd yesterday, passed, no probs.. I get on really well with the guy and asked if i could look under the car when he was finished, no prob he said, showed me how the ramp went up and down and left me to it while he filled out my forms. So i take this opportunity to whip out my handycam and video the underside, the one area i really wanted was the AC comp, but there was a lot of floor panels there, never mind, what i did find was where the floor pans ended under the engine area, was what looked like 3/4" chipboard rotting away?? was i seeing things or is there definitely something there?? Here's a still from the vid.

Well guys i am now thinking very seriously about my situation and with the cash ive lost on top of the cash to repair its just not justified to be honest sooooooo i think i want to break the car. At the moment dont have anywhere to store it unless if gets broken at zedworld. Think after this i will not be buying another zx neither and will go for the e46 m3 that i have been wanting for some time now so that i can have a more reliable car and enjoy motoring for the short spell. Cant explain how hard this is to say but im pritty sure there must be a few K in parts on the car from the bodykit-wheels-flywheel-exhaust-suspension-interior, never mind all the goodies i…

Tonight I planned on taking out the washer bottle and motor and giving them a good clean/overhaul as there seems to be a lot of stuff clogging up the washer jets. Was planning on following this (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=69450) guide but am stuck at the first bloody hurdle... getting the wheel off!!! The locking nuts are refusing to undo (This is the first car I've had with locking wheel nuts; you just put the 'key' on and undo them like a normal nut, right?). Anyone got any tips for undoing them, as they're stuck so tight I even managed to bend the wrench! I'm gonna hope that this isn't a case of me just being a retard, resulti…

Ok i've searched high and low on here and other 300zx forums for a cure to the Aircon heater blowers not working... Some diagrams which i assume are from either an early 300ZX with manual aircon show 3 or more relays just to control the blower.. Investigate on My UK Z using the online technical manual and guess wot?! No relays where they say there should be 3! Fact is most of us are Right hand drive and have the Auto Aircon set up... Turned out I had a sticky relay which stoped the blower operation all together... You could here the actuators move the direction of what would be the air when pressing the temp up or down buttons but no power to the blower itself... …

Just wondering, if i drop the rear rear subrame off, (looking to replace the subframe bushes) Will i need a jig or anything to position it back correctly? I've spoken with a few people who said they'd need to jig their cars if they dropped the subframe and i just wondered if it's the same thing with ours.

I am having the car resprayed inside and out with a really pearly white and its an expensive job so at the same time I want to replace the rear quarters. Any ideas?

I was pulled up in a road block by the police on Saturday night and they stated my number plates were illegal FFS. I was only cautioned and told to replace them or the wrath of god would decend on my unworthy head .Well not really but you get my drift lol. I was given a form which states all the legal requirements.See attached pic.Now this is my query, okay the fonts are wrong on mine (ish) But according to the form,if car is pre 2001 the plate size and letter size don't come into force before that date. So are my plates illegal ?

Right, after everything that has happened with craigTT's car, and the offers that have been placed on the table, i propose a solution. Once i have my car back on the road, and its taxed and MOT'ed, so i can park it up and get my garage free. Id like to build CraigTT his Twin Turbo. if the offers still stand, we have so far 1 rolling shell. a block and head, i have engine parts as well. and if Craig is up for it, any of the parts we can salvage off his motor. And any other parts the community would like to donate to the cause. id do all the work, unless someone else wants to come and help out, i really dont mind, and once its all done, it can go to JeffTT…

I know, I know.... use the search and read up on it... Well i have a slightly different issue, (i hope) as we've had some pretty persistent rain over the last few days, i have been getting some water in the cockpit in the morning/evening when i use the car. The water is actually coming out of my Boost after market gauge hole on my A pillar, After investigation it seems the water is collecting at the rear of the moulded shape for the gauge and as i drive forward or go up a hill, it spills forward, and all over my knee. It has finally killed the new digital boost gauge this morning so i'm not to happy.. Now my question is, if i had a std pillar, the water wo…
