Hi, does anyone know if you can use bolt on spacers with standard UK spec alloy wheels? Do the wheels have recesses at the back to accept the spacer studs? Cheers!

Jut spent a long morning at Zedworld with my car getting a service. It's so nice meeting people who care about the car and customer at least as much if not more than the bottom line as is so often the case in most places. I had fully expected to have to fork out for a cambelt/waterpump etc but Jeff and Jamie reassured me that the existing parts were fine. How many garages would turn away an opportunity like that. For that very reason I'll be taking the car back when it is time to do it. Some interesting cars in the workshop too - including the mint original red UK car. It looks like it just rolled out of the showroom ! Anyway just wanted to say a public tha…

Right I've done a search, all over this site and the Internet. i can find plenty of literature and diagrams on the vacuum pipe work for the TT but nothing for N/A. I asked in a different thread that was already crated, but didn't get anything, so thought it might generate more interest and i might get the answer i need from this one. So Does anyone have a diagram like this (or can modify this one) for the vacuum piping that goes around the N/A, i know its almost the same, but i need to be 100% sure. i haven't eliminated anything just yet. and want to make sure that my rich running (from the smell of it) isn't to do with the vacuum lines.

Went down to my local car masters. and asked them what the best gearbox oil they have for a 300zx. after heading for his book, he showed me there are infact 2 types of gearbox oil and id need to find out what one it uses so as not to damage the gearbox. I found this surprising and quite alarming due to filling the gearbox already with 80/90 (that was going to get changed again on Friday) so now not sure what the best is for my engine. Car specs in my sig. Please help. as i dont want to knacker it again with the wrong gearbox oil

I have given it some thought and although i want to stick with the Zed mainly to prove to myself i didnt let it beat me i think i am talking and thinking crazy. I have some very rare and unique parts for sale if this is the case. I believe i am the only person in the UK to have a Quaife ATB Limited slip diff which is miles ahead of the jap brands as they use clutchs as where the Quaife is cogs. I also have the Leader gears 4.10 gearing. Both fitted into my transfer box and brand spanking new. Cost me the earth to buy this item and according to Quaife UK they never made a diff for the 300zx however i got my hands on a Limited run from Quaife USA. I also h…

Hey there, Upping my brakes and wheels this month - guessed I should try and sort the suspension too. I was thinking of fitting Eibach PRO-KIT Progressive lowering springs over a set of up-rated dampers. I am looking for opinions from anyone that is using this spring kit and what dampers you have them paired up to. I am NOT looking for a super stiff set up - just a good fast road set up and I am hoping the increase in wheel size along with these springs and a decent set of dampers will give me exactly what I am looking for. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who is using these springs for their opinion. Many Thanks :D - Cyrus

Hi There - Me again!! I am upping my wheels from stock to these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-BLACK-SHARK-ALLOY-WHEELS-NISSAN-300ZX-TYRES_W0QQitemZ110451861672QQcategoryZ28648QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D11%26ps%3D63#ht_5550wt_941 The wheels are 8.5 inches on the front and 9.5 on the rear. The tyre sizes they are offering are 235/40/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the rear. I also want to fit a set of Eibach progressive lowering springs front and rear. Will this tyre and wheel combination fit a JDM '92 LWB without rubbing or rolling the arches? Don't want t…

Hey Guys, I was out for a drive last week. The car had been in stop start traffic for a while and it was a cold wet day. The aircon was running on auto at 24 degrees. Without any warning - all the windows steamed up solid - I couldn't see a thing!! I fiddled with the heater controls and got it to clear using the windscreen demister. I know this doesn't sound like a huge problem but I am crapping myself that its going to happen whilst doing 100 up a motorway at night sometime. It has not happened again and I am wondering if it is something that will get worse with time or that is indicative of a particular fault with the aircon system. Other than this incid…
