Hi, Does anybody know a good Suspension/Wheel alignment place in the South. Im right on the coast near Portsmouth. Friend of mine has just got his first Zed and id say the car has been worked on/repaired before? Pulls badly left. He wants to get the car checked out and setup. I remember a place at slough mentioned in Jap Performance/Banzai once that looked the busines but he didnt want to go all that way unless he had to. Any advice would be great. Cheers

Hi guys and girls, after only about 4 days of not running the car the battery dies, even the alarm light does not work its that dead, apparantly the battery is quite new, I charged it for 24 hours and it was fine, but after a few days it was dead again, the battery does hold its charge once ive taken it for a spin so I dont think its the alternator, could it just be that the battery is useless now as its run flat a few times? Thanks Leigh

hi, i've just decided to keep my z32 but fix it up, got a set of yellow stuff pads all round going in soon and new vented disks, but at the mo my Z's hand brake is hardly working, its tightened to max and is stupidly high, thank god for the park setting on the gearbox...lol its a 2+2 import TT the 2 +2 does the hand brake come off the caliper or have a separate drum? and is it just a case of a new cable or is there more too it? the back axles getting stripped anyway to lock out the hicas and fit the new brakes so want to fix this at the same time. sorry for the stupid question but i have the manual but cant seem to get a definitive answer...

like does the dump valve have to be made specifically for a 300zx or is a dump valve a universal thing?

Hi guys, i got a knackered hicas system, the tie rod joins have play in, if it was cheap enough i would have just put the full kit on from driftworks but that works out over 200quid, you can get just the lock out bar for 80 but thats not the problem on mine cos i would have to fit my knackered tie rods, and a new set of tie rods to get the hicas working properly would be about 130. i know owning a car like these are never cheap like everyone else mine has made me skint, but, i can not justify it this time so heres the mission, to make an entire lock out kit and then join the two pipes together to eliminate the hicas. how would you fabricate one, it would have to have to b…

I've had differend opinions from "they're fine" to "front and rear must be replaced very soon". Any ideas? There's a tiny lip on the front discs and an even smaller one on the back discs (barely there tbh). Front: Rear:

Once the car is running well and the live mapping is done I'm going to do some track days but I am concerned about oil starvation. It seems a dry sump system will be £1-1.5k+ which is out of budget so I've found this http://www.thinkauto.com/accumulators.htm Had a chat with them and seems a good system to prevent oil starvation, going to get one so will keep you updated on how it goes.

Ellow, me again, I stumbled across some extra gogogo, changing one thing at a time on the EBC. The gain setting made the difference, will it cause any probs by turning it up and leaving it there? It was set at 5, I adjusted it to 20, gives a good neck workout.

Hi Guys, I desperately need a good quality HID conversion for my dipped beams. I do a lot of night driving and right now I may as well have some guy sat on my bonnet holding a candle - my stock lights are CRAP!!! I have a '92 TT JDM LWB so which lights would you recommend? What is the difference between the standard and the Bi-Xenon models (two bulbs at a guess?). I don't want a fancy tint so was going to go for a 6000k kit (would that be right?) What does the H3, H7 etc signify? I also want quick start up and reasonably low power consumption - but it is the light quality and beam depth that is the most important to me. I was thinking a 55W Premium Bi…

I get asked many times about what the tyre pressure`s should be, now with many zeds running non standard wheels sizes, you need to calculate for each individual tyre/car (zed) combination, follow my guide below and you should be ok. So we know tyre pressures can have a dramatic effect on how your zed steers, gets the power down and reaction to suspension movement, so its very important to get right. 1)So take the max. rated weight and pressure from the tyre wall. It will say something like ????lbs at 50 psi. 2)Then take your zed weight (users manual figure), assume equal weight on all four tyres. 3)With a bit of maths you can work out the % weight y…

The rolling shell of my zed was taken away today to be re painted, we took everything out the engine bay and they are taking all the windows out and doors and boot off to do a top class job. I am having it done here http://www.banburys.net/ (have a look in the gallery my old ferrari is in there !! mellow yellow). They also did my Porsche and there work is absolutely stunning. Anyhows I want to go for a bright white again as it looks lush IMO and im getting airbrushing done under the hood but I want a really nice pearly one. The one on there you could hardly notice at all, anyone got any suggestions?.

I've polished the engine up a few times now and usually use Gunk engine lacquer to inhibit tarnishing. Stays good for about 4-5 months before i have to sand off the lacquer, repolish and relacquer. Thing is the lacquer makes it go from mirrored finish to matt, stills looks good but was wondering if there's anything better i could use to keep it looking spangley?
