I'm replacing the oil in my diff. I'm going to buy 2 US QTs of Royal Purple Gear Max 75w90 gear oil. Is this the stuff I need? the diff is in very good condition and the old oil was clear/fine when I drained it. There are loads of threads on diff oil, but as it's expensive I'm just making sure I get the right stuff :D Cheers dave forgot to say its a jdm r200v without the oil cooler.

.....enough said... I have nothing against Skylines, I think they are fantastic machines and technically more advanced than the Z32.....BUT, they really don't look as nice compared to the Z32. I came across this and it reminded me why I chose the Z32 out of any of the other Japanese GT cars.

Usually there is a classified ad or 2 on the go for these but for some reason ebay has just been flooded (compared to the norm) with them - there are 8 advertised today http://motors.shop.ebay.co.uk/Cars-/9801/i.html?_nkw=300zx&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282

Have a look at the following work of art, now if your head lights are working properly, do they look like the top or bottom configuration? Also, with the help of some more works of MS paint art. If i wire my head lights up like this i get the result of the top configuration. My high beam works fine and both headlights light up. Someone mentioned it was a earth problem, well thought id try some experimenting today with some cabling, this is what i did. first the problem when i use the original live on the drivers side to the bulb plus the original earth on the drivers side, i get a very dim main beam bulb with both high beam…

Hi, I’ve looked but can’t seem to find anything related…. I have a Jap import and want to use LED’s in the indicators, I bought a standard LED indicator module (upgrade) but when I installed it… nothing at all…. I put the old unit back in and it works (although too fast). I’ve spoken to the shop where I bought it and they are happy to send me a replacement (they can't tell me if it will work on the car). So should a standard unit work? Cheers…

Hi, I have a NA which has an oil pressure guage, measuring kg/cm2. Could someone please advise what the normal measurements should be? When I start the car, it reads between 4 and 6. Once it is warmed up, it idles at 2 (or less) but cruises at around 4. When idle, if I rev the car, it increases to 4. Is this normal? The reason I ask is that I have had the car for nearly 5 months and I am sure that it used to nearly always remain around 2. Could the weather have had an impact? Or do I have a problem? Any feedback greatfully received.

Finally passed the MOT this morning, the tester was a bit of a know it all, he tested my car yesterday as a 350z cos in his opinion was the nearest match. I told him that the 2 cars were nothing alike, the engine is a 3.5 for a start and will have cats because of its age. I said how can you test it as another car, no decent reply, just kept dodging a reasonable answer. I told him that i had been reliably informed by a couple of MOT testers that because the 300zx is not on the UK database it had to be tested as a pre cat regardless of age, he didnt agree:xxx: i showed him the print out with pics stating where the manufacturer stamps were, his reply was: that might j…

Well if I said to you - I want to build a dragcar - You would obviously say - Well Andy; you need a Ford Cosworth first - then just drop in a Z32 1000BHP engine, custom manifolds, custom intakes, custom everything - hook it up to a GTR drivetrain and use a Holinger sequential gearbox!!! And BINGO! It would look like this: :slap: Greek drag car madness - I like the pedestrian fryers... :hyper:

Ok i want the HKS v pro gold or simular ECU! My question is as the HKS is a piggy back ECU im understand that the standard ECU is still used to a degree? Will i also still need the standard water temp and o2 sensors in my down pipes? Im thinking of adding my own Wide band air/fuel guage and egt guage. I was hoping i can use the stock locations? Thanks Dan

Afternoon, Can anyone help with where these front bumper brackets go. I've an aftermarket Stillen bumper so do I need them all? The first ones seem to have been cut at some point which makes me think it might be something to do with having a Stillen bumper fitted. I've got a set off a breaker so you can see what they look like complete

Hi - I have removed my HICAS completely - should I remove the HICAS ECU in the passenger footwell as well? Is it just a case of unplugging - discarding - or are there any little resistors to solder in - or Main ECU 'modifications' required to keep it happy?

Hi guys, As the title says, I want to buy a 300ZX but I don't know how much I should be paying for one, or what to look out for. I have found one to look at... It's an import on a K plate, has done 80k, and he tells me that it's a short wheel base model, twin turbo with a chip so it (apperently) runs 380ish bhp. Other than that, its boggo standard. How much should I be paying for this car? This model also has the removable roof. Do these leak? Also what does 'slicktop' mean? Any help would be appriciated.... Cheers, Maz

Not happy, as my car failed the mot and not on anything structural or important. In the past 2 years mot's it has passed with flying colours with no cats. This year, different mot station, as the one i used before have closed down, they failed it on emissions due to no cats. Unfortunately it states on the logbook, first reg date 2004 (obviously when it was first registered in this country) The reg plate on the car is a K so 93' ish. I checked all the usual places, and the dates come back as 1990. So pre 92 doesnt need a cat test, however, trying to prove this to the tester is proving difficult What can i produce to prove beyond any reasonable dou…

My wheels have a really large offset or is it small offset Anyway they stick out the arches. Is it possible to change this offset so they don't stick out so far? This will involve cutting the metal centre down on the inside of the wheel. These were expensive made to order 3 piece wheels, is this a good idea even if it is possible? Obviously i wouldnt attempt myself and would take to a specialist but where could i take them?
