......For just a little longer (will still, hopefully, be ready for next summer though!), as I've just bought this........ As my current Rover 220SDi is really showing it's age now, and I want something over the winter that is reliable! Got what I believe is a good deal as I've traded in the 220 and paid the remainder (which wasn't all that much). It's a '98 on a S plate, it's got a few scratches here and there, but nothing major. It's the Rover 820 Vitesse Turbo Coupe, with full leather and all electric pack. I'll be picking it up on Friday from Oldham, so I've got a nice drive home (bloody roadworks!!)

Having after market parts trial fitted and tested for the Z32 would seem like a good idea and a good way for owners to have real world evaluation of the said parts before committing to buying them, so depending on the level of interest a series of threads for this purpose could be put together. So to kick it off to how it could look here we go.. please note though we do not sell this kit so have no vested interest in recommending these other than genuine comments. D2 8 Pot Big Brake Upgrade Ok if any of you zedders are presently looking for brake upgrades I cannot recommend enough the quality of the D2 big brake upgrade, having just fitted an 8 pot fro…

Spotted a lovely black zed on this cold frosty morning, with a high spoiler, a bit like mine! I was driving a lorry the other way and flashed my lights. Apart from that it was a boring day. (Except for driving my zed home from work!) ;) Anyone on here?

The silver one that is.... £20  Its been stripped for some time now and the over the past few weeks I've been trying to shift it - spoke to the local scrappy and they couldn't collect it because it didn't have an engine, the local recovery company couldn't collect it as you need a special license to take cars to the scrappy (which they haven't got yet)... etc... It was getting to the stage where I was ready to hire a stihl saw and chop it up and weigh it in, but the doorbell went earlier and there was - how shall I say this - a 'scrap metal collector' asking what I was doing with it, he offered me a small sum and loaded it on his pick up, then drove off, …

I had a look to see how my car is coming along today, the whole thing is being taken to bare metal and I am having new arches welded on both sides as well just to be on the safe side. All the windows are either out or coming out as well so it should be one hell of a job when it is done. They are also doing under the bonnet to match so there is a lot of prep being done there as well. Bodyshop of the year two years in a row and it shows to be honest!.

When starting the car from cold, the revs are up a bit as expected (about 1200) but fail to decrease although the car is warmed up but if the engine is turned off and back on again, the expected idle of around 900 is evident! It does this without exception each time and there is no faultering or erratic idling, just either of the two figures of revs. My only thoughts are to do with the water temp sensor/connectors or possibly an air lock which sorts itself if the engine is turned off?

If there is water in the oil but possibly due to loose oil cap and alot of rain with the bonet up. would this give a false positive on a sniffer test. Don't know wether i can just get it tested without having to flush all the oil out?

Evening folks, apparently the Z has speed sensitive steering, so, why does my little zoomer snake around lanes like it's on heat? Despite running 245's all round, I notice the steering has about 1cm-1.5cm of play at most times. JeffTT mentioned that I had a slight HICAS bearing issue that needed to be dealt with which will probably contribute to this issue, but I don't think it would account for all of it. Other than that, has anyone tightened up the steering so that it stays firm and steady at any speed? It's just not straight and level and firm enough for me. It's had tracking/alignment and balancing done, so all the vibration has disappeared, now I just ne…

Hi , going down the A pillars is a pipe that carries the rain water from the targa channels on the roof down to some drain pipes that come out underneath the car. Where these rubber pipes come down the inside of the wing area, they hook up to the metal pipe that eventually drains to outside. Now don't ask how this has happened but BOTH rubber tubes have come off where they meet this metal pipe, symptoms of this include lots of water on the passenger carpet around the ECU and some more water spilling onto all the fuses... if you peek under the passenger foot well at the most awkward of angles you can just see the pipe JeffTT had this issue a while ago an…

  23. Hey guys just wanted to share the massive cruise we had over in the Victoria. The GOR as we like to call it is a cruise along a stretch of road that follows the contours of the cliff side right next to the west coast of Apollo Bay in Victoria's south west region. Heaps of tight fast twisty roads along with beautiful scenery + 35 Zeds makes for a fun day out. Anyways onto the photos. Here is the initial meet point where about half of the attendees gathered before heading off to meet the cruise director further up the FWY.

  24. Hi guys, I'm from Australia, but hoping you can help..:) Ok this is weird so please bare with me while I explain.. The zed (1990 NA, 5 Speed) has developed a very annoying electrical problem, this is what it does: Drive the zed around and all is fine. All of a sudden I will start to hear a whine coming through the car, that rises or decreases based on the revs of the engine. This whine will come and go but will always be present for the rest of the drive. Then, when I finally come to a stop and switch the car off, I lose all power. As if someone has taken the battery out of the car. No alarm ( I cant arm or disarm the car, and no flashing LED), no interior lighting, no ig…

hi everyone, just bought my first 300zx on friday, its a 93 twin turbo fairlady, runs really nice although iv noticed the oil pressure seems very high, its measured in kg/cm and it steadily goes up to between 9 and 10 the gauge ends at 11 so im quite worried about it, iv checked the oil level which is fine, just been serviced, its had a ecu remap and bigger injectors put in, but now im thinking about not driving it incase i do any damage, any ideas what it could be? everything else seems fine and it got me back over 200 miles no problem. thanks very much.
