Hi guys, The Z is finally running again. Amongst other things I've pulled out all the overengineered clutch pipework and gone straight from the master to slave cylinder with a stainless hose - assuming this would make bleeding easier. I expected gravity to be enough to get the air out of the system but apparently not. No pressure at all in the system :-(. I guess the master must be full of air (?) I'm now not confident that going straight from master to slave was the right thing to do, although I can't see why not. Can anyone confirm this is ok please? I'm going to try the oil can 'reverse bleed' method if all else fails. Festive Cheers, RobH

Picked one up today off Chunk to fit to the ZX when I get a chance. Anyone done it and got any advice? Decided to go fo this as it's an R200 4.1 (same as NA) BUT has the same driveshaft flanges as the TT R230 so will take all the stronger running gear. Also, it's a plate LSD, not a viscous so should be a bit quicker acting (but hopefully be a bit more sensible on the road than the cusco 2 way R230 I have at the minute!) I've got an NA subframe so I'm going to try and transfer the TT hubs, driveshafts etc. across. I'm guessing I may have to make up some spacers for the shafts as the oultlet flanges are likely to be closer together than on the R230. Also, the no…

Hi There - I have seen some wonderful examples of chrome plated plenums around and I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a company that could chrome plate mine? Do I need to do any prep work before the plenum goes off to them? Does it need to be polished BEFORE going for plating? This may be a stupid question but do they plate the inside of the plenum as well? Do I need to worry about chrome build up in the threads or on the gasket areas? Any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks in advance - Cyrus

Curious to know if you Z fans are first timers and stuck with it or if you had one, went elsewhere like me and came back. I had TVR chimeara and lotus esprit in my 'in between years' but came back to the Z.

this is a tough one to describe ! Have Tein coilovers and front strut brace. little too hard and low for my 30 somthing rear but it came like that and whilst fun on a little squirt up the A roads its a nightmare on anything but smooth tarmac. Has when cold always had a little 'grating' sound undr bonnet when going over bumps but has now got really bad and sounds like a bunch of metal trays being slung about in a bag! Nothing visible and can only hear it when driving so cant work it out! my strut brace shows signs of bonnet under mat rubbing but seems too grating for this and also seems strut brace or gaskets are fooked which makes me think its the strut brace ru…

Hello people, Got a bit of a problem that has been there for quite sometime but is in need to be fixed now. My Z just never seems to hit the normal running temperature. I know the stock gauge is absolutely rubbish. But my heater doesn't give out proper hot air. If the temperature does rise a little, and I give it the foot, the temperature drops back down. So I've got a Z with no hot air inside. So am completely freezing in car and the leathers don't help either. Is it the thermostat that is the problem here???

I'm instaling the UK stereo and CD player and have a question, I know what the plugs on the radio are for but cant work out the CD player? One wire [cream/white] comes out of the CD player and goes into the radio but the cd player also has a yellow wire coming from it and also a 4 pin plug and I'm not sure what these are for? The adio powers up fine but CD player wont and I'm guess it something to do with that wire and plug Heres a pic, radio is the bottom one, cd on top

Surly this is false advertising? i mean with out the turbos, its just a bog standard N/A engine.... Yes i know, some will say, but its out of a TT, but he clearly states its a TWIN TURBO ENGINE, then goes on to say TURBOS NOT INCLUDED, note the TT ENGINE part and not ITS FROM... attached to the front of that. And yes I'm being picky lol, im upset im not going to be able to make it to the Christmas meet due to my car still needing some work for the MOT. :crying:

Hi All I have just aquired a set of 4x20mm Hubcentric wheel spacers for my Jap Spec Z. I am wondering if the existing wheel studs are longer than 20mm and will stick out past the face of the hubcentric adapter when fitted and therefore make contact with actual wheel? Any one had any issues with this are am I talking rubbish? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers

Hi guys My car runs perfectly, but 15 - 20 mins into the drive, especially if its a tiny bit damp the car judders when the accelerator is pressed, it seems like the wetter it is the worse it gets, the thing is, my filters are almost completely surrounded my a plastic cover although if you get under the car you can see a gap and see the air filters. Do you think that the water off the road is splashing up through that small gap and getting onto the airfilters, do you think the maf is damaged, it runs fine to start with. It looks as though their are two mafs to each air filter but the loom is only going to one, is the other just a dummy maf or can it be swapped ov…

My camera is crappy , but I think you can see easily the difference with the SuperClear Lense and the OEM Lense. The light pattern is more precise and "to the point" I guess you could say. I have the same pattern be it with the HIDS or the Sylvania Bulbs. Take a look and tell me what you think Mates!! In this shot you can even see the rectangular refractors in the beams...notice how tight the light pattern is? Just a Sex shot for you perferts: From about 100' away...plenty of light left dont you think...notice how tight the lighting is? Looking out the Z (ed) a good 200' on low beams Really , what do you Brits think now?
