Hi all, right, my problem would seem to be an electrical one so will run it past you all for suggestions. Narrowed the problem to no.6, the cylinder is fine when cold and so far ok when restarted straight after shutting the engine off.The problem occurs when left a while, nothing..removing the coilpack connector makes no difference to the engine note, the same with the injector. I`ve recently replaced the loom so all is good with the connectors, the ptu is a new series 2 with a new loom. So there seems to be an interruption in signal when warm. Simple question really, non hicas boss's go for 18 quid or so, hicas enabled bosses fetch 60-70 quid... but i can't see any pictoral evidence that there is any physical difference in the items?! If the normal non-hicas boss 'fits' then what problems would it cause hicas wise? Could somebody confirm? Also if I'm looking to eventually remove hicas anyway would it make any odds? Cheers! David

I've noticed a small but long scratch/score on the side of one of the "pots" on my front brake calliper :glare:. I can't feel it but it is quite visible. The question is; is the pot buggered and needing to be replaced or am I being too cautious? could I polish it out? if so what compound do I use? I've tried taking a photo but with my skills it's just coming out black and blurred and not very visible :euro: Think I already know the answer to this :no: but thought I'd ask anyway. cheers Dave

I'm replacing the seals in my front brakes. So far I've done one. Before I go any further can somebody tell me if I've done it right. I've replaced the internal O ring and both the piston and chamber are free of any dirt or scratches. Just want to confirm the seal is on right, before I do the rest. Cheers dave

Hi Guys, just a little problem, which is annoying me? My rear near side light is out? brakes and indicator work ok, just the 2 red lights dont work, I`ve swapped bulbs and even swapped the bulb wiring loom over and its still the same? Any suggestions Thanks in advance Daz

Hay guys, I am thinking of breaking my lwb and fitting my good mechanicals onto a swb shell. I have recently bought a really nice fujibiso giken system and would really like to keep it for the shorty can the pipes be cut down to make it fit or would i have to effectivly shorten the rear silencer Pete

As above? How do you tell the difference, or should i say - How would you identify which is which? Would it have any markings etc? I've checked the search but it only comes up with threads about function and the fact that they seem to shorten the life of your box. Anybody? Thanks in advance

I t rains and pours lol I just had new front shocks, eibach springs and whiteline anti roll bar with downlinks fitted in Nov. I had the rear anti roll bars done at the same time. A couple of days ago after going through a few bends on a country road, i started to get a creaking/scraping sound. Im hoping something just needs tightening or at worst something else has snapped. Any ideas? Im going to take it back to the garage that fitted them next week when everythings back to normal, but im a bit apprehensive about driving too far/fast. I have a mongoose cat back system on my car at the moment but would like a more supercar sound. In the shed i have the turbo elbows de cat stainless steal system ready to go on. Now i know about turbo seals, but if i fitted the rest of the system would it give that V6 grumble i crave. Would it be any louder? Also are the elbows easy to fit? Thanks Damien

Ok I can see the basic differences between the two kits, and the traditional hicas lock bar looks to be by far the easiest to install. But does the driftworks lock kit make a huge difference in the handling over the lock bar alone? Is it worth the extra hassle and money? Will I need a full wheel alignment if I just fit the lock bar? If the hicas ball joints are suspect would I be better off replacing the whole lot with the DW kit or would the symptoms not show once the lock bar was installed and hicas disengaged? Finally how do people go about looping the lines after the lock bar has been fitted? Many thanks again for your technical wisdom!

Hi, looking at replacing all the OEM suspension on my car as it's the only thing that was never fitted when the kit was done. As expected the inside of the tyres wear faster because of this and the car sits a bit to high on the OEM shocks/springs. So to all the guys who have a wide arch kit fitted what suspension did you go with and what other parts did you replace/recommend I replace while I'm there so to speak? Here's my list so far.
