Hi - I have a problem with a braking system air leak and wondered if anyone knows of a diagram of the master cylinder and associated pipes online anywhere? Symptoms are that the brake pedal is spongy, goes right down to the floor, and I can hear air escaping while pumping the brakes. Are there any known common faults? Thanks in anticipation for your help as always :helpsmilie:

After almost 3 weeks of standing still (loads of snow before and after Christmas), finally drove the Z today. How I missed it and the rain, for once, was very welcome. I have to admire my wife's N-reg Micra though; performed brilliantly in terrible conditions and as is the case with Nissans and especially Micras, reliable and dependable beyond belief. Every home should have one (alongside your Z!).

I nervously started the old girl up today. its been exactly a month since I last drove her and she started first time! (albeit she'd been on charge the whole time). took her out for a nice long drive and apart from the occasional creak or groan the only things i noticed were a light tapping from the engine (which went after a few minutes), and the steering column vibrated slightly as i turned the wheel at rest, but that went after a few minutes too. i'm chuffed to bits that she survived the weather we've been having - i 'treated' her to a quick wash with warm water and hope to use her again as a daily driver :gunsmilie: ...the only problem is I'd promised myself no…

Not sure if this link has been posted before and not able to take a look just yet but i'm guessing the old skyline hicas is the same as the 300zx? I've been wanting to get shot of the anoying hicas light on the dash without having to just remove the bulb and loose the ability to warn me of low power steering fluid  http://forums.gtrcanada.com/showthread.php?t=20736

Im picking up another engine next week, nothing serious with mine yet but fancied having a spare, its apparently got about 60k miles, but although it may be good as it is, i fancy doing a rebuild to make it like new again before i drop the engine and manual box in the car. Im not looking to do a slickpete, im after making it strong and reliable for the years ahead. So if i replace the pistons, rings and conrods, etc, whats the best way to go and where to get the bits. Im in no rush, just going to take my time and do it bit by bit, but would maybe like to get it all finished before the summer starts. Im after it basically being like new, internally, for peace…

Ive been on here for a bit now, i get involved in the banter, try and arrange some meets, and offer help and advice whenever i can. But, i really do enjoy funny threads. This gets me thinking??? What are the classic memorable threads that you remember. The ones that stand out from the rest, Whether funny, sad or just one big bun fight etc etc. I want to know about them and see what we all think One of my favs ever was the pink plenium, started of and just ran and ran. what else is out there???

For those of you following this, have got the conversion harness ready for slick Pete's car now. A bit rough until we test it then I'll drill a hole in the case to pass the cables through to neaten it up but at least it's progress  The unconnected wires are for shift light, wide-band connection, clutch switch pickup (full-throttle shift), map switching and road speed input.

As above really, After seeing my plight he`s very kindly sent me an injector to compare against my own dodgy reading one. So once again THANKS STU! Top club spirit!!

  25. Started by santa,

Hi all! Sussex Stu has very generously sent me an injector to test against my what i suspect failed one. I`ve just ohm tested the injector and i`m assuming it needs not to be given a current or owt, or am i wrong? Because the ohm read 74 which if all being well on how i`ve tested it would indicate that it`s screwed as well..or am i wrong?
