Just in case anyone here comes across a listing on e-bay for a garage in Barking advertising 300zx engine supply and fit for under £1500 you might want to check some feedback from some of their previous customers, it would appear they use at least least three trading names but all seem to come back to the same address. (Auto fix, Parts plaza, Easy engines) ebay link first http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120512022708&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2F%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m38.l1313%26_nkw%3D120512022708%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1 Customer feed back http://www.complai…

As above? How do you tell the difference, or should i say - How would you identify which is which? Would it have any markings etc? I've checked the search but it only comes up with threads about function and the fact that they seem to shorten the life of your box. Anybody? Thanks in advance

I t rains and pours lol I just had new front shocks, eibach springs and whiteline anti roll bar with downlinks fitted in Nov. I had the rear anti roll bars done at the same time. A couple of days ago after going through a few bends on a country road, i started to get a creaking/scraping sound. Im hoping something just needs tightening or at worst something else has snapped. Any ideas? Im going to take it back to the garage that fitted them next week when everythings back to normal, but im a bit apprehensive about driving too far/fast. Ive not got underneath for a visual yet, too bloody wet, but after trying to shake/push the front end around, i …

I have a mongoose cat back system on my car at the moment but would like a more supercar sound. In the shed i have the turbo elbows de cat stainless steal system ready to go on. Now i know about turbo seals, but if i fitted the rest of the system would it give that V6 grumble i crave. Would it be any louder? Also are the elbows easy to fit? Thanks Damien

Ok I can see the basic differences between the two kits, and the traditional hicas lock bar looks to be by far the easiest to install. But does the driftworks lock kit make a huge difference in the handling over the lock bar alone? Is it worth the extra hassle and money? Will I need a full wheel alignment if I just fit the lock bar? If the hicas ball joints are suspect would I be better off replacing the whole lot with the DW kit or would the symptoms not show once the lock bar was installed and hicas disengaged? Finally how do people go about looping the lines after the lock bar has been fitted? Many thanks again for your technical wisdom!

Hi, looking at replacing all the OEM suspension on my car as it's the only thing that was never fitted when the kit was done. As expected the inside of the tyres wear faster because of this and the car sits a bit to high on the OEM shocks/springs. So to all the guys who have a wide arch kit fitted what suspension did you go with and what other parts did you replace/recommend I replace while I'm there so to speak? Here's my list so far. Drop links Tension Rods Tension rod bushes Upper link adjustable camber arms Eibach spring f&r Shocks - ? cheers H.

i cannot believe my luck,,,,,, as most of you may be aware i was lucky enough to get a manual n/a for 2 quid from dave (daveclav) . He just needed it gone and wanted a club member to have her and look after her. Well i have taken her to D2 the ZED specialists in kent, we put her up on the ramps to see if all was not too bad underneath as she had been standing for a year or so and was without M O T, we could not believe our eyes,,,,,,,,,,, its like new under there, totally standard , not a spot of rust,DARREN said in his 20 years as a ZED specialist its one of the cleanest examples he has seen especially as it was used as a daily drive and has covered around 75k. oh lucky…

I've been having a look around to see if I can find any production figures for each model and year. So far I've found this link: http://www.300zx.cl/ga/300zx/images/serial%20number%20Datsun%20Z%20Car.htm Which im not sure if this just covers america (since it ends in 96) or if its sales figures, or production for all cars or just LHD or RHD etc. So does anyone have any better figures? Ive got Brian Longs book which states how many in total for each year but not at what percentage was for each model.
