I've had this problem for years but just haven't done anything about it. I only put the fuse in for the MOT and take it out afterwards as it randomly goes off (in the middle of the night usually:censored:). Is there somewhere in particular I should be looking for the fault? I've done the push button end already (still went off?!?!?!), could it be the relay in the drivers footwell?

Hi everyone! I just noticed that after I start the engine from cold and trying to drive str8 away I get a bit of misfire and loss of power... I think it may be something to do with the o2 sensors. A while ago the headgasket blown and, as I know this can poison the o2 sensors. Also the fuel consumption seems to be a bit high. As I will change the o2 sensors anyway, does any one knows if this ones are good? http://www.zcentre.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=379 Thank you

Hi There - This may be a really silly question but I had my '92 TT LWB changed from auto to manual last week - but how do I get the spec of the car changed on my V5 (logbook)? Do I just contact the DVLA or are there reams of forms to fill out (if so which ones!)? I have already let my insurance know but I want all the docs to tie up. Thanks in advance Cyrus

I am going to remove my bootcarpet to install the enclosure & sub which I bought from Craig http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=133111 I haven't used my Z in about 7 months as it is garaged and having lots of goodies bought for it. So in saying that I haven't used it in a while, I had a quick look at the boot the other day and realised when I pushed the back seats forward, that the boot carpet is actually joined onto the back seats.... It has screw/clips in place and it looks as if it is stitched onto the back of the rear seats?.. Obviously it isn't possible to remove the carpet without ripping it from the back seats too? Is this right? C…

Hi everyone! Two days ago I had an alarm fitted on my car. I went to a shop where they sell and fit alarms. The alarm system works fine but it`s been two days since having the allarm fitted and two fuse blow up... Last night for example, I could not switch off the parking lights...I had to remove the fuse...I think it has to do with the allarm installation. What do you think? Thank you!

Hi all i have been having a intermittent fault with the Z lately it seems to at times always from start up to be hesitant and restrictive throughout the gear changes etc it also seems to be over fuelling a fair bit, it was suggested to me that the car may be running safety mode?? So the question is as i think the conzult list we have is a little outdated Is there anyone in the North West or North Wales area that come and look at the car for me and hook it up to there conzult?? i would help towards fuel costs if needed but i really need to identify any issues and know what i'm dealing with before i head for Z world Any help much appreciated  Th…

Hello folks.:helpsmilie: Quite a while back a seen this zed up for sale and was due to go see it when back home from work, then it went for 4k. I had photos of the car sent to be then and it looked really really nice, nice bright red. Looks now to have dulled, not as attractive, i phoned the chap and he says its just not been washed in the photos, also that he doesnt have any of its service history.:glare: Anyways, spoke to him about it claims theres no rust, no vibrations, no engine knocks etc etc. Not much off an add but i am only intrested as i had previously seen that car and liked it. what do use think? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1404735.htm …

Just wondered who is still using there Zed in the snow? im to sceptical to even try as my other older RWD cars have always been a handful in it, and im getting wheel spin in 3th from a standstill in my other FWD car. Id dread to think what it would be like in a zed so that brings me to my next question. Apart from good quality tyres are there any handling mods that can give the zed superior grip in rain/snow etc? I been using playing with a little 1 series BM for a while and the handling and grip for such a basic car seems to be far better than my zed.

I've been looking at the various wide body kits available and was wondering are wheel spacers the only releastic option to widening the rear wheel base or are there any after market kits available? How have others got around filling the arch after rear has had the wide body kit added? Thanks, Tony :gunsmilie:

Trouble is that when I do a search, nearly every post has a different battery number suggested! My current one is a type 075. Does anyone know which was the factory type? Normally the car gets left for up to a week and still starts ok, I did find that the passenger door wasn't shut properly so possibly the interior light may have stayed on? I've got the battery on charge and will try it back on the car before condemning it...

The NA box does not normally fit over a TT flywheel. It catches on the ring gear teeth. It needs a little metal removing inside the bellhousing. Check out the pic to see where. Between the red marks in the area marked with a wavy line. Not much needed. Once you have done bolt up for a trial fit and turn engine over BY HAND and check there are no nasty noises on tight spots!! See pic sharp eyed people might spot the modded NA water pipes too. Pranged the underside of the car on some raised ironwork (gate stop) on my mate's driveway and ever since every time I turn the heater on there's a godawful rattling noise which is VERY loud both inside and outside the car! Ordinarily I'd wait til the car goes into the garage to get this checked out but as it's cold out, it's fairly urgent not only for heating but the windows keep misting up too (due in no small part to the bad seals on the door windows!). Anyway, long story short I was going to have a look myself tomorrow to see if its anything I can fix myself but have no idea where to start!! Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction in terms of…

Hi all, I'm having what appears to be a common problem, steering sometimes heavy, sometimes light, often 'notchy' around the central position. This is almost all the time now. So far I've replaced the PS pump (PITA!) and fluid, checked the connections behind the instrument cluster (the km/mph convertor is soldered in, all connections look good and I've reinsulated), checked the PS solenoid connections (look fine), checked the speed sensor (looks fine according to Jeff's pics) and the sensor connector (no problems). ECU has recently been reset. Car has been off the road for a couple of months, when I first got it running again the problem appeared to have be…
