i cannot believe my luck,,,,,, as most of you may be aware i was lucky enough to get a manual n/a for 2 quid from dave (daveclav) . He just needed it gone and wanted a club member to have her and look after her. Well i have taken her to D2 the ZED specialists in kent, we put her up on the ramps to see if all was not too bad underneath as she had been standing for a year or so and was without M O T, we could not believe our eyes,,,,,,,,,,, its like new under there, totally standard , not a spot of rust,DARREN said in his 20 years as a ZED specialist its one of the cleanest examples he has seen especially as it was used as a daily drive and has covered around 75k. oh lucky…

My 300zx didn't come with any manual, so can anyone tell me the significance of the heating control buttons to the left of the steering wheel, i.e what does "rec", "econ" and "auto" all do?

I've been having a look around to see if I can find any production figures for each model and year. So far I've found this link: http://www.300zx.cl/ga/300zx/images/serial%20number%20Datsun%20Z%20Car.htm Which im not sure if this just covers america (since it ends in 96) or if its sales figures, or production for all cars or just LHD or RHD etc. So does anyone have any better figures? Ive got Brian Longs book which states how many in total for each year but not at what percentage was for each model.

My tax is due end of the month, and the dreaded MOT due today. Off i go to centre and with fingers crossed i wait.. Had the zed nearly 3 years now, have fixed and maintained everything myself, and gained lots of knowledge on them. Last MOT only thing was an indicator bulb This time PASSED straight through with not even any advisory's. See there are good examples of UK zeds I always say. It pays to care for our zeds, and maintain them well. Look after them and they will look after you. Well chuffed:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Hi There, Does anyone know where you can get 1 wheel re-lacquered - This is not strictly a 300zx post as it is for my wife's car but just 1 of the alloys seems have had the lacquer peel on it. Does anyone know someone in the West Mids that will re lacquer one alloy. I don't want it painted as these are lacquered alloys. I don't know if it would need refinishing at all as there seems to be a little surface corrosion on that one wheel. Other than the surface of the dish of the rim on that one wheel, the wheels are immaculate. I was looking for a recommendation - any suggestions would be gratefully received - someone who can do it from a mobile van would be even be…

  17. Ok this is seriously screwed up.... how the hell did it get this hard and near impossible to get off...... im not joking this stuff is like a thin layer of hard paint, it only comes off if you scrape it.... ive tried autoglym wheel cleaner and its not made a blind bit of difference. heres the story, i cleaned the wheels last week and they were kinda clean apart from a few dust particles on the wheels which i thought id get too later, i didnt polish the wheels after or anything, so i go for a drive to essex and back and they are caked in dust again so i thought ah il do it later, big mistake, im not sure if its the salt on the roads or something but th…

  19. Hi there guys, I have a few questions I hope you could answer for me. Car in question is a 1991 60k mile twin turbo 2+2 manual. Has mongoose exhaust pipes, jetex air filter with 140mm diameter 100mm intake and is rated around 340bhp however much value this holds, but I was conservative on size as I didn't know the amount of room I had available to me. Car produced 272bhp at the fly a few years back with the mongoose exhaust at a very reputable dyno in England. 1) I was contemplating a stage ECU tune from Z1 motorsports in the states along with their boost jets but the shipping bumps up the cost considerably. Could I get my ecu chipped for less than 300 in t…

After taking out all the boot trim, un-doing all the necessary bolts which hold the brake lights in place.. I tried to push my Brake lights out, but they were stuck in place.. I don't know if this is due to the cold weather we are having lately, or are Z32 Brake lights Glued/Sealed in place? as I could not get them out no matter how hard I tried... They appear to have a kind of black seal around them.. and my car is like 19 years old and I wouldn't have thought they have ever been taken out since they were put in from factory.. so the seal has had 2 decades to cement itself... Can anyone give me any handy tips on how they would over-come this "stuck break l…

Hi Guys, is this one of the heater pipes? What are the chances of me getting it fixed before New Year? Does it require the skills of Jeff or D2 to mend or can I get my local mechanic to fit a replacement part? Where can I get the part from very very quickly? (I really don't want to have to take the train to Newcastle at New Year :scared:) Chris
