Weather was good today so i decided to get these two systems off the car to tidy up a little bit on vacuum hoses. I had the wings off today anyway so it was easy enough to get to all the AIV and PRVR bits :) Marty

Hi all, Does anyone know if or how much approx the rear of the the turbo expands by when hits hot? Not sure how true this is but after thinking about it as well most things expand when they are hot.....so it got me thinking because the right hand side turbo sits about 1 to 1.5mm away from the block in one area. Do i have anything to worry about? My turbos are ceramic coated if that helps in anyway! Cheers Dan

Got a slight air leak where the air induction pipe bolts onto the passenger side turbo. Can I just use and type of gasket paper and cut it to shape to form a proper seal or does it have to be of the high temperature variety or even a metal one?? Also can you just get a replacement gasket for this pipe from someone like Mike at MJP?? Any advice would be great thanks!

my car was running fine, nice and smooth, lent a AFM to someone but went missing in the post  anyone after buying another one, its very spluttery on boost, if you nurse the gas pedal to boost its ok, but try accelarate hard and it holds back & splutters. (like boost lea,k/missing sound) im asuming its the AFM, the new/crap one i have has damaged mesh, can i replace this? does the mesh really matter? or is it the sensor inside what counts.

Is any one running Conzult on Windows 7? I'm thinking about getting a new laptop which will have win7 on it, but I need to know if Conzult will still work as this is the main reason for the laptop. I've got the usb convertor so connecting it isn't a problem. Cheers Dave

Hi - I have a problem with a braking system air leak and wondered if anyone knows of a diagram of the master cylinder and associated pipes online anywhere? Symptoms are that the brake pedal is spongy, goes right down to the floor, and I can hear air escaping while pumping the brakes. Are there any known common faults? Thanks in anticipation for your help as always :helpsmilie:

After almost 3 weeks of standing still (loads of snow before and after Christmas), finally drove the Z today. How I missed it and the rain, for once, was very welcome. I have to admire my wife's N-reg Micra though; performed brilliantly in terrible conditions and as is the case with Nissans and especially Micras, reliable and dependable beyond belief. Every home should have one (alongside your Z!).

I nervously started the old girl up today. its been exactly a month since I last drove her and she started first time! (albeit she'd been on charge the whole time). took her out for a nice long drive and apart from the occasional creak or groan the only things i noticed were a light tapping from the engine (which went after a few minutes), and the steering column vibrated slightly as i turned the wheel at rest, but that went after a few minutes too. i'm chuffed to bits that she survived the weather we've been having - i 'treated' her to a quick wash with warm water and hope to use her again as a daily driver :gunsmilie: ...the only problem is I'd promised myself no…

Not sure if this link has been posted before and not able to take a look just yet but i'm guessing the old skyline hicas is the same as the 300zx? I've been wanting to get shot of the anoying hicas light on the dash without having to just remove the bulb and loose the ability to warn me of low power steering fluid  http://forums.gtrcanada.com/showthread.php?t=20736
