Hi Guys, Been having probs with the steering feeling notchy so decided to try a replacement UJ. The old one was sloppy but I have another problem, please see the attached pics. The UJ only just hangs on the the bottom of the steering column when connected to the rack, the pinch bolt isn't really located over the flat area in the splines of the column, it's on the very end of the column. Surely this can't be right?? Perhaps something else has gone awry? I've attached some pics in case I'm not explaining myself very well... Any advice/input appreciated. Cheers RobH

Looking to purchase oil hose to go from the oil cooler to the engine. Does this have to be High pressure oil pipe? I'm just having trouble finding this. All I can find is the low pressure stuff. I'm probably just being stupid and looking in the wrong place. Thanks, Ant

about 2 days ago my car ('91 NA Jap Spec) stalled when i was changing gear (from 3rd down to 2nd, but before i lifted my foot off the clutch the engine was dead). Sometimes the idle can be perfectly stable at around 800 revs but other times it really fluctuates and drops to 400 revs (when it drops below it stalls), there doesnt seem to be a pattern as to when it happens, eg hot vs cold engine etc. Also i have to accelerate really really gently as if i try to accelerate a decent amount (when joining onto a fast road) the car really loses performance and feels like driving a 1l corsa, you can really feel the resistance (almost as if the engine isnt getting enough fuel). …

I've finaly got around to swapping my stock exhaust for the Fujitsubo Giken one I had lying around. I knew the stock one was on its way out, but only now have I realised the extent of it. One side had rusted all the way through so that the backbox wasnt even joined to anything.. :| Anyway I'm fitting downpipes in the process, and am having a bit of trouble getting to the two bolts on the top of the stock turbo elbows.. any advice on how to get at these would be appreciated. I could imagine that on an auto it is easier as you could reach down from the top of the engine bay, but on the manual the clutch cylinder is in the way... Secondly the new exhaust system …

Some days I hate my job, when a zed owner puts their trust in you to advise on a problem been the messenger of bad news can suck! So as the photo's show the guy had an apparent small interaction with a lorry tyre or section of (we think) on the motorway. The first impact marks look innocent enough as the front bumper edge looks only grazed, however as the wheel hopped over the debris it whipped it up violently into the sill and door leaving huge dent area and lots of rubber marking. Closer inspection shows the wing had been displaced too, but and importantly it had not been hit directly, despite a dent in the wing this is more of a stress mark than an impact …

Hi all !! I am a newbie and a Nissan 300 zx twin turbo owner. I recently had my top end rebuilt and had new bigger hybrid turbos fitted, after a while I started getting a mild knocking sound, which turned louder , its sounds like two hammers knocking together and resulted in a lose of power. I have verbally rang an nissan expertise gargage and they have said its the bottom end. The expertise gargae i used to do the rebuild on top end have said the same, but i am really annoyed at the money spent on the rebuild of top end and their expertise why they never suggested any thing abt the botton end when i had the top end rebuilt??? Can I have ur views on this??…

I've heard lots about you from .. well everybody! Seems as though you are the man in the know with ecu chipping. Hope this is within forum rules but could you please email me about your services? Im looking to have my ECU chipped so I can run 15psi on an otherwise stock-ish engine (intake exhaust the usual entry level crap). But I'd like to ideally post my ecu down and have it soldered in as I'm crap with a soldering iron! I've emailed the few companies in the uk that I can find and nobody gets back to me. My email is dlongmu@hotmail.com Many thanks! David

So i had my new zed out for the first time today, had the brakes sorted and fixed the headlight beam alignment. Nipped to a local supermarket and wondered to the back of the carpark to hide from usual people that like to dent doors... And would you adam and F'in believe it i spotted this, a Yellow UK TT Manual with a black 99 spec spoiler on a H plate parked at the bottom of the carpark. Didnt look too bad but im not a fan of the chrome v6 and tt badges :s and also GTR power??!

Hi, I phoned Nissan Crosby (Liverpool) to order my bushing for the gearbox this morning and have to say they were VERY helpful!! They didnt have one in stock so i had to go to Wallasey to collect, but for your information the part number has changed; from 32202-b9500 to 32202-7F401 The new part fitted perfect and meant i could carry on with my conversion. The new bushing cost me £5.01 Regards Daz.
