Hey guys For those of you that have air ducts in place of the front fog lamps andalso have a pipe/hose etc connected to them leading to either the intercoolers or front brakes; a: What kind of hose/piping did you use and what diameter was it ( a pic of the type used would be outstanding ) b: how did you connect the hose to the ducts. As always, any help greatly appreciated. Maz

As above, been having a few niggles with the lights recently? Firstly the rear near side light would not illuminate, indicators and brakes were ok, so Jeff advised the light module in the boot was faulty, so i replaced it and hey presto it worked!!! But i have just noticed when i press the brake pedal my fogs light up at the front?? Strange Any suggestions?? Thanks Daz

Hi all, I'm changing my inner rear tie rod (failed mot on it ) I've got a hicas eliminater fitted and am having trouble getting a spanner or grips on wide end of tie rod where it goes into hicas. i'm guessing i'm going to need to drop rear section of exhaust to get to it properly. Was wondering if anyone else has managed to get it off without dropping exhaust and if so how? Cheers Nick

Some of you may remember this thread from a couple of months ago... Paint Time Basically, the red paint on my car is knackered. Looks good from a distance, but the drivers door is slightly darker, and theres a few small rust patches that need sorting out. So I have already decided to change the whole colour, and in the end it was a toss up between a straight black or white. Or olive drab  I can picture in my mind how I want my Z to look, but didn't know if I would dare to do it olive drab. A lot of you helped me out and gave me the confidence to go for it before, so I ordered a 'sample can' the other day... and sprayed a piece of old…

Just a quick thanks to Dave for sorting me some cheap side skirts and rear bumper - I just t-cut them, and put them on the car (well the skirts anyway) and lucky old me - the paint is an exact match :clap: They fitted perfectly and look lush. I am well pleased with myself. A good wash and polish and she looks lovely. Thanks mate.

Really dont wana do it but ive just sat down and worked out my outgoings since just moving house and it leaves me just over £200 a month out of my wage, I could probably afforf to run it but if anything goes wrong im knackered, the car runs sweet as a nut and is fast as f**k, may just see how it goes for the first few months, really dont know what to do as the car is stunning.

Hi guys. I've been having the usual problem of fuel smell whilst cold running my Jap TT, I've replaced a few pipes although I haven't been brave enough to dismantle the parts needed to replace the front fuel pipe! The problem I'm having seems to be more than a mere leak however, more of an overfueling BEFORE the engine is up to temperature. If I get out of the car I can smell it out the back of the exhausts and there's a definate coke build-up around the exits. Once the engine is warm - no smell. So I'm thinking temperature sensor maybe? I'm no mechanic so I'm here asking the experts.. you lot! Diagnosis and possible solution much appreciated!

wonder if anyone could shed any light... the car randomly started sounded rough when I started it on Monday evening. I'd driven it earlier in the evening and it had been fine, must have been stopped for a couple of hours, then when I started it up it sounded rough. I tried starting it up again on Tuesday briefly hoping it might have gone away, but it hadn't, and I didn't have time to investigate then. I guessed it was probably missing a cylinder, which I confirmed tonight by pulling the wires off each cylinder in turn. I measured the voltages on the wires from a good cylinder and compared them to the duff one, and they were the same. I then swapped the things th…

I just havent got round to fitting the turbos etc. Ive been turning the engine over now and again at the crank, I know when it was built it was well creased etc! But do you think i should fill the engine with engine oil to prevent any damage? Thanks Dan

Does anyone know of any good sites to calculate the transmission loss? I found one site that said for a RWD car you add 10bhp then devide it by .88 to get your FWHP. Surely being a mid engine and front engine the Transmission loss is different?
